I bought this b/c at the time I did not own another highlighting product for my face. The color is champagne (pink undertoned). There is no chunky glitter in this product, but there is LOTS of shimmer and fall-out. It is easy to blend and give a very nice glow. When swatched it does look like a pinky/champagne, but it will not show up on your face like this. All you will see is a glowy shimmer. You also need to use a very light hand with this because it can make you look like a disco ball when too much is applied. I feel you can find another product that does the same job for cheaper. I will not re-purchase this product b/c I find I don't use it enough to buy another, aside from the fact that I most likely won't finish this product for many years.
This is my daily highlighter! It gives a very pretty glow to my face. I apply it under my brows, across my cheekbones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupid's bow. It is a little drying though, so I have to put on extra moisturizer before hand. It is pricey for a highlighter, but then again it's MAC and it will probably last you 3 years!
This highlighter is absolutely AMAZING! I recently went to the Mac shop in Liverpool and bought loads of stuff, and out of all the products I bought this one surprised me the most. I've tried other highlighters but never really felt the need to use one on a daily basis, but this one is so incredible that I can't go a day without it!
I have very dry skin on my cheeks and a t-zone that tends to get oily throughout the day (which makes the dryness of my cheeks even more noticable), but with this on my cheekbones my skin basically looks airbrushed. I'm not kidding you, this stuff is sooo good!
The first time I tried Soft and gente I saw my mum, and she immediately commented on how nice my skin looked. She was like "you look amazing, I need to get one of those myself!".
Yes, it is a little pricey, but it is so awesome that it's totally worth the money. To be honest, I would probably pay a lot more for it if I had to - I can't imagine using any other product now. Soft and gentle is the best highlighter ever! (I'm very pale, NC15 if anyone was wondering.)
I really like not love this product. It gives a nice shimmer to the face, but my only complaint is that the glitter fallout is really bad. I wish it had more of a sheen like the beauty powders. Also, the fallout from the powder is pretty bad and gets everywhere, like the other msf's.
The best powder highlighter I've ever tried! Completely trumps any drugstore brands. Pretty, shimmery, subtle, and has an advantage over liquid highlighters because it's more matte and won't end up looking greasy at all.
I love this highlighter! Soft and gentle is a gorgeoous pinky/gold shade. I am PPP and 33 years old. I don't like anything too glittery anymore. This highlighter gives off a nice sheeny glow. There is no glitter to it. When you're as pale as I am, it's hard to find a good highlighter that will show up. This stuff shows up on me and gives me a pretty etherial glow. I tested out on my niece who is half hispanic and it looked beautiful against her bronze skin. This would flatter a huge range of skintones. I apply this on the C area around my cheekbone and outter eye area and along the bridge of my nose. I use very little and I apply it with a MAC 187 brush to get a light coverage. If you want a highlighter, I would recommend this one.
This is so beatiful! the name describes it beautifully- it is supersoft and a sweep on cheekbones just gives a soft, lit from within airbrushed quality. I've worn this as eyeshadow too and its quite pretty. I love a highlighted face, however you have to be careful with the stripe down the nose, C from brow to cheek thing- that is a look best in print- not in person in my opinion. A gentle sweep with a fluffy brush over cheeks and eyes is enough for me.
I'm a sand in bobbi brown and this looks perfect- but I think this would look good on all skintones. Most MSFs are pretty but I don't get much mileage out of them- but this I use everyday- sunlight, fluorescent light and for evening..
Very nice highlighter. I use it to highlight my cheekbones, brow bone and nose. It leaves a pretty champagne sheen to my face. Lovely.....
Every time I wear this highlighter I receive a compliment. Even though I am already tan, this helps give me that glowy/dewy look. I love that it is a powder because I have more control over the amount I put on my face. You can start off with very little then gradually work up to the kind of look you want. Starting off with a little goes a long way!
HG highlighter, for now. I really love the color of this skinfinish! So beautiful, like a pinky champagne with a slight peach undertone to it. I have fair to medium cool toned skin, and I love to wear this on my cheek bones and under the eyebrow. It is slightly expensive, but considering the amount you get and the number of uses you get, it's worth it. I haven't really tried too many highlighting products, but I don't feel I need to, because this is everything I could want and more. The staying power is very good, I am a dancer and this lasts 10 hours for me, even through sweating and physical exertion. And I love that it never looks cakey on my skin, and blends easily. I don't, however, use this as an all over powder, as I am not a fan of the overly shimmery look. Especially beautiful if you're going for the "no make up" make up look and just want to accentuate the brow bone and cheeks! Definitely a product I would wear on a first date, too! LOVE. Will repurchase, and already have!
