Alright, girls! I'm trusting you on this one! :-)

Just picked this up yesterday. I like the way it feels, did not irritate my skin at all. I felt just the slightest tingle. I hope I get results like the results I've read about! Looking forward to fading some acne scarring and dark spots. Will update soon!

Update:
This is working great for me! It helps heal and erase acne, tightens pores. It seems like it's the magic thing in my skincare routine! I'm even using less foundation than I used to because my skin is looking so much better. continued >>

Miracle in a jar!!!!!!!!!!! Holy poreless wonders!!!!! My skin is usually pretty clear, with annoying bumps on the sides of my chin, some minimal blackheads on the nose, the beginnings of fine lines around the eyes (hello 31-almost-32), and tendency to dark circles. This is week three for me with this stuff and let me just say HALLELUJAH!!!! The first week I used every other night, and for the past 2 weeks every night. My skin is looking AMAZING...almost like when I was in high school with flawless skin!!!! My pores are practically invisible, not a SINGLE BLACKHEAD to be found ANYWHERE (not even in the little side nose crease area they love to nest) the fine lines around my eyes are diminishing, and the overall eveness, tightness and brightness of my skin is...well, I have spent more time staring at myself the last week than the past six months :) I will say the first week and a half was scary, there was some definite tingling and "purging", but now that I'm on week 3 I don't think I will ever quit - EVER. In the evening I wash using weleda almond cleanser, which is soothing and creamy like a cold cream, tone with avalon vitamin c toner, apply the alpha hydroxy, mix 1 pump of avalon vitamin c serum and a couple drops of jojoba...morning I just tone and put on some neutrogena moisturizer with spf. A few people at work the past few days think I'm in love because I'm "glowing"!...lol My roommate is simply amazed and will be trying some of mine, because after 3 weeks I haven't even made a dent in this stuff. Granted the jar is ugly as heck, but I put a lot of my "ugly" products in pretty colored apothecary jars/bottles...now that I know this is a "keeper" it'll get a pretty jar too :) Thanks again MUAers!!!!

Sorry to be one of the rare ones here, but this product gave me THE worst break out. I may be purging - but damn, I am all bumpy and red all over!
I had to stop using it.
I mean, I am happy for those that worked, but I'm gonna use it on my body now, cuz I don't want to waste it. Someone wrote that they put it on their feet - I think I'll do that.

First things first: After reading the reviews I tried using walgreens.com to locate a jar in my area. Although 2 stores in my area listed it in stock, they were not and the SA's (how great is that, that Walgreens now has SA's in the beauty section?! I love seeing how cheerful and helpful they are!) told me they hadn't seen it in ages. I was disappointed, but came home and ordered it online. So my advice is to take their online loction search results with several grains of salt, because chances are, you won't find it.

My experience: I used the Chanel Sublimage series for 14 months (I know, I'm a fool) and decided to use REAL products to improve my skin. I started using Walgreens Alpha Hydroxy Lotion approximately 5 weeks ago, along with a Stabilized Vitamin C Serum, and Holy Clear Skin - I see real changes in my skin!

Changes:

My little sun spots at the top of my cheeks - GONE!

Blackheads on my nose - GONE!

Discoloration from old Acne - almost gone!

The state of my Forehead: Remarkable! Glowy, clear, healthy skin! No more foundation needed on my forehead!

The state of my Cheeks: still a work in progress. I still have some redness and a couple of tiny spots here and there, but there is noticeable improvement, to the point where I need a lesser-coverage foundation.

Overall feeling after application:

I realized that if something is emerging on my skin, my skin tingles when applying the Lotion. My skin tightens and dries considerably after the Lotion is absorbed, but I slather on a good moisturizer (currently using M Badescu night creme), and then make sure I moisturize in the a.m. as well.

Further, I found I don't need to use this every day. If my skin is feeling extra-dry, I skip a day and them return to it.

Bottom Line: I LOVE this product. I will never be without it again. Chanel can kiss my pretty skin and money goodbye.

****** Edited: My original review was written on 4/3/09, and I want to update on my skin's condition. No more breakouts on my cheeks, and only 1 spot on my face that is diminishing without breaking into acne. My skin has improved to the point that I feel totally confident wearing only a tinted primer (Philosophy Supernatural) and a little concealor here and there and a quick swipe of powder. I'm amazed at how my skin has improved! I find myself skipping the Vit C Serum a few times a week, and am coming to the conclusion that perhaps I don't need it... we will see...

One more item of interest: I applied my AHA last night and forgot to follow up with moisturizer. I woke up this morning to VELVET soft skin. No lie. My skin felt moisturized and looked glowy. I cannot get over how good this product is, and am totally freaking out because it's no longer listed on Walgreens site. Wth am I going to do when it's gone??? Walgreens, are you listening? Bring it back, don't be stupid!

Dirt cheap for a great product. I will definitely repurchase this, my skin feels great every morning (I only use this at night). Don't buy the AlphaHydrox version when this one's only $6 at Walgreens.

After reading the rave reviews of the Walgreen's AH lotion here on MUA, I just had to go buy it. Let me just say that it is everything I was led to expect and more.

I actually bought this product in order to do something about recurrent small bumps/pimples on my neck and chest. Not only has this completely eradicated them, it has made the skin on my face, neck and chest so soft, smooth, and utterly luminous that I truly wish I had taken before and after photos to put up here.

A few notes:

- I have sensitive skin, so I started out using tiny bits of this every other night, before moving up to using it every night. It has never irritated my super-sensitive skin.

- Like others have mentioned, this stuff is great for the bumps on the backs of your arms.

- Walgreens AHA is one of the best beauty buys I have EVER made. Not only is it dirt cheap, but I have been using this product for over two months now, and have not even used a 1/4th of the product in the jar - this stuff apparently lasts FOREVER!

All in all, I'd recommend Walgreen's AHA unreservedly.

So...I don't really get it..maybe I don't have enough issues with my skin so I don't see a difference??? This did nothing for me...I used on my arms as well and MAYBE it helped a bit there but not enough for me to be wowed...I don't have many bumps there either or extremely rough skin so I thought it'd be quick to notice...neh. Won't bother buying this again.

I use this after a bikini wax or shaving my underrms. It really helps to reduce/prevent ingrown hairs with little irritation. It does irritates the skin on my face, but my skin is sensitive!

This is my first review on makeupalley.com. I have been a lurker for some time now, but it was only until I came across this product did I decide it was time to write a review. I am an Asian female with olive skin that easily scars. My skin is acne prone, especially around that time of the month. I'm pretty sure it's hormones. Anyway, I am pretty much acne free since I started on the pill some years ago. I still get occasional pimples though and have scars from previous acne that I'm trying to get rid of. They are really not that noticeable, but I still want to get rid of them. I just recently learned about alpha hydroxy, and after reading all the reviews on this site I decided to purchase this because it was cheaper than AH souffle and I didn't have to wait for it to be mailed. I have been using this product for only 4 days and I think it's helping a lot already. It is helping fade scars and red spots, especially ones that I've gotten in the past month. It is also helping smooth my skin so my scars are less noticeable. I have used it every night so far, keeping it on for a few hours. I usually wash it off before I go to bed, then use an Apple Cider Vinegar toner on, and Egyptian Magic. If you haven't heard of Egyptian Magic it's great for your skin and also helps with scaring. It takes a long time, but if you use it religiously like I do then you will see improvement. But back to the product at hand... I would recommend this for people looking to reduce scaring, and for people who want smoother skin. I didn't really purge at all which I think is partly due to the fact that I'm on othro-cyclen. I did notice little bumps come to the surface at first, but they all went away within a day or so. Nothing horrible. No stinging or tingling feeling for me, but I still can see that it's helping. Will update in another couple of weeks to see if I think it's still helping.
EDIT: 7/1/09
It's been more than a couple of weeks since I've updated because I didn't figure out how until JUST NOW. I stopped using this product for a while because I felt like my skin needed a break from it. Lately my skin routine has just been washing my face with baking soda (this really helps control acne,) using a homemade apple cider vinegar and witch hazel toner, and Egyptian magic. In the past couple of days I started using this product again because I got a huge cystic pimple on one of my cheeks. It has left a big red mark on my right cheek. I have now attributed this type of acne to years of use of Bare Escentuals foundation. It contains bismuth oxychloride which can cause cystic acne. My twin sister used to wear this foundation too, but for the past few years has given up foundation. She is acne free and never gets these pimples. I have also noticed that hair products such as mousse cause cystic acne as well. Anyways, this AHA product from Walgreens is really helping reduce this red mark, and only after a couple of days. My scars (including rolling scars from past acne) have definitely been reduced, and would probably disappear if I used this product more frequently. I also believe it makes your pores smaller (or reduces how big they look.) Another thing that it seems to be doing is reducing the amount of blackheads on my nose. I've had a lot of these forever, and some of them are finally being lightened because of the exfoliating properties in this product. When I wake up my skin is very soft! I can really tell you that this product WORKS. I've spent years trying to find ways to reduce the appearance of scars, and this is by far the fastest working product I have come across. Again, I suggest using this, and then applying Egyptian magic. Please see my Egyptian magic review if you want to learn more about how *I* believe this product works. (I'm going to write a review now for it.)
