C'MON PEOPLE! Where's the TBS love here? This is a WONDERFUL product, and I think it does a GREAT job...someone once said it MELTS right into your lips and they weren't kiddin' Now ya don't need to go crazy here, a little bit goes a long way. So stick that cute little pinky right in there and getcha a SMALL amount, put it on, watch it melt away, and enjoy the creamy sweet frosting-like frangrance and flavor. I was all worried it wasn't flavored, but it is, at least to me. I enjoy it. I agree also that it should be used before bed, that's usually when I use mine, OR I'll put a little on after I get out of the shower and leave it until I go to put lipstick on. You didn't really need to know all that right? I mean, you just came here trying to find out whether or not you should shell out the $6 for the thing, and here I am going on and on and on....so stop rolling your eyes at my nonsense, and just go getcha some. I like it, I think you will too. If ya don't, then give it to me.
I feel like I just rubbed a stick of butter across my lips. However, it is a good nighttime lip balm.
But for daytime, it's useless.
LOVE THIS LOVE THIS! I am a total lip product fanatic...so when my roomate(who is a manager there)brought this stuff home the day they got it...i fell in love. I always wear TBS Lip Butter in Shea-great cupcake smell and taste...ultra moisturizing too....i've got my eye on mango!
I found these to be oily, grainy, and not very moisturizing. Dissapointing.
i really liked this lip balm.. the smell is not obnoxious ( as it is with some TBS products and its very emollient. I wear this under my glossimers and it doesn't interfere with the coverage. since the coverage is just slighlty shiny, i'm happy to finally see a balm that isn't greasy and doesnt give me shine overload.
I bought it at a 3-for-$12 sale. The only thing i didnt like about it was that it occasionally (very occationally) a little gritty. i'm chalking that up to the fact that i'm using the Nut Lip Butter and that it may have some ground nuts in it. Overall its a good product.
Well, I actually like these lip butters a lot. I generally use them at night right before I go to bed, and I've been waking to nice, soft lips with no chapping (a problem I often have), ready for lipstick. The packaging is totally cute, and I think they smell really good. I bought Grapeseed, Nut, and Coconut; I have not tried the coconut yet, but I like both of the other two scents a lot.
I was expecting the lip butters to have similar consistency as the body butters. The lip butters are a thicker consistency and when applied to my lips, it felt extremely waxy and didn't absorb at all. I was expecting so much more from this product.
These lip butters seemed to be a step up from TBS's regular fruit lip balms. Really smooth and non-waxy. However, my problem with these is that I don't like the scents. Admittedly, I am not like most people--I am very fragrance-sensitive and very particular about my scents. I found these to be very fake and chemical-y scents.
The Coconut lip butter was a huge disappointment to me. I was hoping for a fun-tasting product that really moisturized my lips. Instead, it smells great (just like their wonderful body butters), and just sits on top of your lips. It truly feels like butter on top of your lips. Also, none of the "Marula Nut Oil" is in this product - TBS makes such a big deal out of this and I was hoping it would be in their lip butters. It's in their lipsticks and is extremely moisturizing. TBS is just trying to capitalize on their body butter success. I'm disappointed in this company. Stick to Lipsilk by Laura Mercier or "Complete Moisture" (with SPF 15) if you want a lip treatment that truly works.
(Note: this is for the Nut Butter Product) If you want to spend $7 and be disappointed; buy the "newest" product from TBS. The best thing about it is it's packaging, a cute mini-version of the best selling body butters. I love the body butters, but these are a zero in my book. Why? This product just 'sits' on top of your lips and looks glossy, but it doesn't feel like it ever sinks in (no emollient properties). I had high hopes that this product would taste incredible, but that also was a huge disappointment. It's first ingredient is Shea Butter, which is great, but you get to the third ingredient and it's beeswax! I was hoping TBS would include their exclusive Marula Nut Oil they're always mentioning in conjunction with their lipsticks. None in this!If you're looking for an emollient lip treatment, bet on Laura Mercier Lipsilk. If you need a low-cost option, use Blistex Complete Moisture - it even has SPF 15. Please, Body Shop, go back to the drawing board!
