works pretty well on my eyes but dont stay long enough
the first thing i noticed about this was the packaging- tres chic!
At first my eyelids looked really good and refreshed! but after awhile my eyelids started to look flaky and dry even though i had moisturised loads!
I'm on the fence with this product. I bought it because I started noticing my eyelids were sortof red. This fixes the discoloration, but it's almost too yellow (I have dark brown hair and eyes) and I definitely couldn't wear it on its own. I have to cover with eyeshadow which sortof defeats the purpose...eyeshadow would have covered the discoloration all on its own!
As an eyeshadow primer it's okay. It definitely reduces creasing. My biggest complaint is the consistency. I find it to be very hard and tacky and difficult to dispense. I usually breathe on it a bit or rub my finger in the product to warm it up. It takes a little bit of work to get it soft enough to apply- but that might be easier if you used a brush or something. I just use my fingers.
I wouldn't buy this again, but I'll keep using it until it's gone. Not worth the price, but not completely useless.
I actually do like this product a lot. I would say it is a lighter in color version of MAC Soft Ochre paint pot, but it is easier to work with than Soft Ochre. This blends easier for me and coverage is very opaque. I do not have any creasing problems because I don't use a heavy amount plus I use UDPP prior to application and they work beautifuly together.
What's up with all the hate on this? I love it. Then again I haven't trying to use it as an under-eye concealer (I thought it was primarily for eyelids?) anyway I got this in BeneFit's Confessions of a Concealaholic and I pretty much use this the most of anything in the kit, just a quick swipe across my lids and a few dabs and my eyes look 100x better! I do recommend you use a primer underneath though. Hope more people end up enjoying this as much as I do!
Good marketing... as with every BeneFit product... but just AWFULL! I got to this point when I don't even know what else to try to do with this... Does not work as a primer in any way, it creases more than if you use a cheap concealer as a base... It has a sticky, oily consistency to it and runs everywhere if I try to use it as a corrector. I like the little box... But what can I do with it? I feel bad for letting a quite expensive product just sit on my drawer. I thing I'm just waiting for someone to let me know I'm doing something wrong... :(
Note - the only thing I like about this product is the packaging. Quite thoughtful of Benefit to include a little mirror in the product for us to see how useless this product is.
I'm NC20, so maybe it's because I'm too pale? Who knows. But even when I apply barely any product, my eyelid just looks garishly banana-yellow. It's not even a decent primer IMO - my eyeshadow just fades after a couple of hours. I'd have thought it'd smell of lemon at least - but no. Apparently it is named this just because of the colour.
This works, but only over a good primer like Urban Decay's Eyeshadow primer, otherwise it just creased up on me. I love the look though for bare daytime eyelids, so would use again, but only as part of a palette or something, wouldnt purchase on its own.
This product was disappointing. My skin is very thin and fair so veins are visible, especially on my eyelids. I wanted to find something for days I'm not wearing any eyeshadow. Lemonaid seemed like a perfect solution... but no. It's way too yellow! And my skin is on the pink side. Looked so unnatural. And it also creases. A lot. I thought maybe I was puttin too much on so I put less. And this time it didn't cover the veins at all. So I added a little more.. and it creased again. This product is totally useless IMO
This is a product with very mixed reviews, but I personally like it. The container can be difficult to open at times, but allows the product to be used completely, unlike products in a tube. I don't have issues blending, because I use a tiny amount. I have very fair skin, so I simply need to touch the product and it's enough for my eye. I was skeptical about the yellow color, but it actually covers anything that shows through my thin skin perfectly. It leaves a slight yellow color behind, but nothing that is distracting and is covered immediately by any color shadow. I'm not too sure about the before and after picture shown here, as it looks like a regular concealer was used...I don't think I"ll have to buy another one, but I don't regret this purchase.
