I like the color and texture of this product. It also is very light so it doesn't make fine lines look worse.. The only downfall is that if you have large pores as I do in the T-Zone area it will not cover it..
I was very excited to finally bite the bullet and lay out $42 for this foundation. I'd heard so much about it and have been lemming it for a couple years. What a waste of lemming! This stuff sat on my skin. Looked horrible. I had the right color as I'm easy to match. It didn't sink in or blend into my skin. You could see it sitting on my skin. I use moisturizer and a primer so that wasn't the problem. I have never returned makeup before, but for this price I did. The gal who waited on me turned her nose up at this product also. Said to try the MUFE face and body, which I already had decided I was going to trade this in for. 1000% better product which I'll review next and it's a few dollars less expensive.
If its smell is good I will give it 5 rating. But this is smell so bad especially when I use it under the sun exposure. But this is so good at night. And I like it when I got photographed, it does gave a very good cover but doesnt look heavy.
Love the blendability, the fact that it is very hygenic with the pump, and that it truly lives up to its reputation as the perfect foundation to use on film/photography. It feels light on, but you look airbrushed. The colour stays true, no oxidation, and the range of colours is magnificant- I believe there are around 25+ shades offered. If you are having difficulty being matched at MAC or Laura Mercier, definitely look into MUFE HD.
so everybody hyped it up for me alot when i bought it and tried it
it wasnt that good
i expected so much from it
ive heard it was amaziing but its just a regular foundation
the only good thing i found about this foundation is the lasting power
it last about the whole day which i need in a foundation because i dont have time to touchup during the day at school
but i got this foundation in shade 120 which the make up assistant color matched for me but its just slightly light for me i went back in the store and tried 123 on my hand and it was perfect but i lost my reciept so i dont know if i can exchange it.. i usually like foundations to be dewy and give me that glow but this one doesnt
it photographs great it makes me skin look smooth
this foundation is okay better than most of the foundations ive used
i just need a shade darker to fit my color
i hope they let me exchange or i hope i find the reciept so i can change it i dont want to pay another 40 $ for it .
or i might save it until the fall / winter that is coming up soon
i get super pale
* i ended up loving this foundation but unfortunately i had to return it because it broke me out really bad ..
i wish it didnt because i loved the lasting power
now i use smashbox hd foundationn
My skin is mostly normal, acne prone, and also prone to dryness although since my clarisonic I really no longer suffer from dry patches.
I am also PPP, about NW5-NW10 by MAC standards. Have a hard time finding a foundation light enough in many brands. I use this in 110 which is the lightest shade. There is a 107, but it looks as though it's darker and also VERY pink from some of the research I did online, it is also only available online and not in stores. MUFE is definitely a brand you want to try in store before you buy for shades, as some higher numbers are lighter shades and it's quite confusing. 110 is a pale shade but quite pink and a tad dark but workable.
Color selection is pretty good at 26 shades, should be a match for most.
I will also say there is a HUGE difference between applying this with your fingers/sponge and using a good foundation brush. It looks amazing applied with my sephora #55. Very airbrushed flawless look. This foundation is amazing in photos, but also lul in real life.
I find the finish to be semi matte. No need for a powder with my skin type.
As for the comments about not lasting, with my primer this lasts 8+ hrs, so no complaints there.
Only had this for a short time, but have not broken out as of yet, will update if it does break me out.
THIS IS A FACE LIFT IN A BOTTLE!! I have had this product for almost a year and for some odd reason never tried it. I was too busy using powder mineral foundations. For some reason the other day I decided to give it a try and WOW WOW WOW. I am 46, very dark hair and eyes, fairly good skin on the light side. The light GREEN side. I use EDM olive fair which I have to mix a green powder color corrector to get it right. All foundations are usually yellow on me. Anyway, this foundation was so awesome it looked like I had a FACE LIFT!! I have pretty good skin but this took years off me. Even the gentleman I occasionally have dinner with noticed a difference! My color is a #117 and it was a near perfect match. I had to brush on a little green color corrector but not much. I used E.L.F. color correcting powder over top and it was STUNNING. I will definitely use this AGAIN.
Looove it! My favorite fdtn for flawless coverage. Covers everything but looks beautiful, natural, great for photos. Lasts very well on me. I use it in winter and on special occasions as i find it too heavy in summer. It doesnt feel heavy on skin though, just my preference, i go for mufe f&b in summer.
LOVE IT! I'm NC30-35, I wear this MUFE HD foundation in #120 soft sand. I've tried Revlon Colorstay, MAC studio fix, BRTC black label bb cream, Missha perfect cover bb cream, I've also ventured into the mineral makeup territory with Bare Escentuals and Everyday Minerals. This foundation is my HG right now! This really does blend so well into the skin. I use Everyday Minerals sunlight finishing dust to set the foundation. I've wore it all day to NYC in the hot summer weather and by the end of the night, my face has not melted off!
It is freaking expensive but a little goes a long way. The coverage is medium. Coverage is buildable, if you need more, make sure you moisturize well or it can get a bit cakey.
I've been using it for a week and no breakouts yet *crossing fingers*
I would recommend you get a sample of the foundation at Sephora before purchasing because it is $40 a pop!
I am #125 and I have to say I use 2-3 pumps and not one (I do have a huge head) ;) and it builds up to a very natural finish. i have large pores and oily acne prone skin. I highly recommend using this with a primer to make it last longer and thus, get the full enjoyment out of this product and make it last longer. Can't wait to get the coastal scents buffer brush and try it with it.
As for the price, ouch! But it lasts long and might just be the best foundation ever.
I recommend you get it in Sephora so u can return it if the shade is wrong. The reps there know little about product and shades - trust me! especially for photos and especially for summer match the shade to the base of your neck, the part that sticks out of the t-shirt, if you match it to your neck (usually doesn't get too much sun) you WILL look too pale, trust me. I got #128 because the girl recommended and it was a pink pigment when I am obviously yellow (self-tanner), I guess the girl matched it to the colour of my acne and imperfections (don't do that)... Great product, needs primer and a setting powder and you will get so much joy out of it...
