This is the first foundation that I've ever finished. I have very dry skin and i never ran into any issues with it. I love the packaging as well.
I've used MUFE for a while know. This foundations really good if you aren't looking for a full coverage foundation. It does leave me with a matte finish which is also good.
Pros: good for days where you want your face to look nice and clean, but don't want a heavy foundation
Cons: doesnt cover acne scars that well, it works best for people who's skin is clear, pretty pricey
I really like this product. I bought it because I wanted a foundation that would look great in pictures, because I currently wear MAC Studio Fix Fluid, which refracts light because of the SPF. This foundation doesn't have SPF and it photographs beautifully. The consistency is a bit thin, but it makes it easier to blend. The coverage is all right, but I use concealer under. I was color-matched by a Sephora SA, and she picked out 118, which is a good match for my NC25 skin. It looks seamless in photos. It's a bit pricey, but I think it's a good foundation.
this is my HG foundation, when all of the others break me out, this one stay loyal and nice. it doesn't have that much coverage but it is good for everyday makeup. it is light and stay put quite long.
the finish is not matte, but not so glow-y that u look oily.
I like this foundation but do not love it. I use the lightest shade because I am very fair skinned. I have a hard time finding a foundation in most lines that is light enough for me. I use the #110 in this formula. I have to say that it does turn a tiny bit 'warm' on me. I don't want to say 'orange' but its kind of going in that direction. The coverage is good, I would say medium to full coverage. Good to build on if needed. The pump is convenient, so no product waste. My only complaint is that the color does turn slightly on me. If it were not for that, I would buy it again.
After reading a whole bunch of good reviews about the mufe foundation i wanted to give it a try.
Last weekend i went to Sephora, the saleswoman helped me to find the right shade no 128- mac nc 37
(i have combination skin).
Then she put the foundation on and i couldnt see any difference,it was too sheer like i had no foundation on. She tried to layer it put the it was calky. gosh it looked so horrible.
I hate this foundation!
Best foundation ever :D <3 I used Clinique foundation before this, didn't give me a good coverage plus made my face looked kinda flakey & stuff (I love Clinique though, especially their Acne Solution system <3) This Make Up For Ever foundation gives me super full coverage, like..... I don't even know how to describe it eepppssss :D <3 I was shocked & amazed by what it did to my face for the first time I applied :P Kinda pricey though but totally worth it :) <3
It's weird that this product has sparked such divided opinion on users. You either love it or see it as useless. I'm of the latter camp. Honestly this may be more of a 2.5 star if it was in a drugstore price range, but due to the hype and the price, I feel that it is really a letdown. I returned mine. I really can't understand why the HD foundation is getting so much more hype when the Matte Velvet is so much better, and is sold at a lower price point.
- coverage. It's very sheer to non-existent. This is really weird because it seems to have a high powder content.
- lasting ability. It seems to melt off my face in a few hours. I have normal/combination skin.
- cakiness. I have tried to layer it due to the lack of coverage. But with or without layering, it is cakey and chalky and really emphasizes all the dry bits.
- the pump gets stuck sometimes, and seems to be impossible at dispensing a small amount.
I ended up returning my #127 it didn't match me at all. I'm NC30 on Mac. i tried #120 as a sample it wasn't the right color. It so HD that it show my small pimple bumps. I ended up having a lot of small pimples or rash looking bumps around my face.
This Foundation has to be Number 1 on my Foundations list !! I only use this foundation as well as Mac Studio tech and that's it !The Foundation itself leaves a finish on my skin that is unlike no other !! It looks SOOO natural yet it covers everything i need it to ! as far as the price and packaging? sure I'd love to spend less on this however i feel that the effect this gives is worth the money alone. The pumps kinda suck although i noticed they recently changed so hopefully for the better ! it lasts and looks awesome on my oily skin all day
i love love LOVE this Foundation ! If you've never tried it go grab a sample !
