I hate the fact that I spent so much money on this! This is not any better than others I have tried at the drugstore. I will say that when I first applied this it looked amazing on my skin and I thought that I had finally found the "perfect" foundation. After about an hour I started to look shiny which drives me nuts! I would say that this isn't a great choice if you have oily skin. I have combination skin, but this made my forehead look like an oil slick (yuck!) Once the weather started getting warmer and more humid where I live it also made my chin break out like crazy...thank goodness I was down to the last few uses when that happened because I was bound and determined to finish this up after I spent so much on it!

Oh man, I despise this foundation.

I was given this by a friend who had bought the wrong colour.

On the bright side, I love the pump pack and I love applying this. It glides on like a moisturiser.

HOWEVER, this sinks into every single pore I have. I have found pores I did not know existed until I used this foundation.

And it does not last on my skin. Within 2-3 hours of applying this, it has disappeared. Oh, except for my pores, where it happily sits all day.

I so wish this had worked for me because, on my friend, it looks spectacular. So I know it can work, just not for me. :-(

I LOVE this foundation. I have very sensitive skin and had been wearing nothing but powdered mineral foundations for years. Sadly, mineral foundations tend to make my skin drier than normal and it is VERY hard for me to find one that matches my blue-white skin. I'm also somewhat sensitive to bismuth and this limits my options even more.

I finally tried this and was delighted. This product didn't irritate my skin at all. The only thing I didn't love was applying it. It is very hard to get this foundation blended well enough to please me as I prefer a natural look. Then, on the recommendation I found online, I tried mixing it half and half with my favorite day cream and applying it as a tinted moisturizer. Eureka! Makeup perfection had been achieved. I now had a perfect, high-SPF, gorgeous tinted moisturizer that went on like a dream and lasted all day.

That said, I don't think that this foundation would work well for someone with oily skin. It seems far to creamy for that. I think that it would work better for someone whose skin was dry, normal, or combination.

I also wanted to say that this is a foundation that you really need to try on before purchasing as each level comes different tones and MUFE does a horrible job explaining this. For reference, I wear 110 (Pink Porcelain).

When I bought this foundation I had really high hopes due to the hype. When I purchased this at the time my skin was in bad shape and was super oily When I applied this using my Sephora #55 brush and it covered my slight faded spots but not my severe red marks or zits it made them look cakey and dry eewww. It also melted off my face when I got oily and looked uneven and dry by the end of the day. The only good thing about this foundation at the time was it matched perfectly. #120 matched my NC2 skin perfectly. So I gave up on it and it collected dust in my drawer. Now about a month ago I went on accutane,my skin was way dryer and my acne was really clearing up but I still have those slight red marks. SO decided to give it another shot and its perfect. It covered my now moderate acne and was good on my now dryer skin. So Im guessing this foundation is good for people with dryer skin and moderate to slight acne. I also did noy break out and it lasted all day while looking fresh. I now love this foundation and use it daily. Will I repurchase? Yes but not often due to its expensive.

like many other girls, i had high hopes for this foundation..but after a month of usage i've realized this wipes off my skin very easily, esp on those humid days or even a full 8 hour shift sitting at a desk. it matched my skin tone well and provided coverage and flawless look for about 2 hrs, but I have combination oily skin and just did not stay on. its not worth the $50 Canadian at all.

For girls with sensitive, acne-prone skin, this is NOT your product...

This foundation caused my cysts to return, and now I have horrible acne scars.....the ingredients are not non-comedogenic, and are horrible for sensitive skin....My skin has never looked so bad, all due to this product.

This foundation doesn't last as well. I have very oily skin, and my face looked disastrous after a few hours at school, because all of it wore away.

I also didn't really like the shade and the cast...I'm glad I'm not alone with my feelings about this product because I really wanted to love it, but I cannot handle any more acne/scars.

This is my HG foundation and does not compare to any other.

If you exfoliate and tone (as you should before using any foundation, if you have flaky or dry skin) first, this should go on like velvet. It stays true on your face throughout the day- no orange or weirding out of color.
I have oily skin so I use blotting papers and can keep it looking flawless into the evening this way.

For those who are saying it's cakey- you are putting it on too thick!...It is all in the APPLICATION. If you use a foundation brush and work quickly, you can get the finest airbrushed look imaginable. Bonus- it does not settle into lines so is awesome for over 40 skin.

Try again with proper application and prior exfoliating and I guarantee you will LOVE.

P.S. The HD concealer is a godsend and works beautifully with this.

I was looking for a full coverage foundation and bought this foundation after reading so many good reviews. The staff at Sephora picked the color for me, it looked perfect in the store, but when I got home and used it several times I noticed it was too light for me. I'm a nw25 and the color I bought was 118. However the color is not the biggest problem, I really wanted to like this so I gave it many tries using different combination of primer and setting powder, but it broke me out every time I used it. It did have full coverage, but somehow accentuates acne bumps and dry areas.

The only positive thing about this, IMO, is the packaging. Pump is hygenic and cap closes well to prevent spills. The negatives were that I did not find a color match at all. I have a lot of yellow in my undertone and this foundation is mostly beige and pink bases. It also made my skin greasy after a half hour. It just felt like plain old drugstore foundation on my skin :/ really not worth the 50 something bucks. Thank god sephora has a great return policy!

After hearing all the great buzz on this foundation, I decided to head in to Sephora and try it out myself.

Usually, I'm pretty picky on my foundations, since most have not given me my desired result. All the raves on youtube on this foundation really influenced me into buying it. So, I did.

First and foremost, I have to say that the color selection was quite impressive. The seemingly never-ending color ranges and tonal values caught my attention. I quickly asked to get color matched, and tried the foundation out immediately right infront of the model mirror at Sephora. (My shade is #123)

Honestly, I thought the foundation looked fantastic on my skin. The blend-ability of the product was great and after the full application, I felt like a movie star. I was finally happy to see a flawless look on unfortunate dry skin.

Well Ladies and Gentlemen, those Model mirrors did do the trick, since it tricked me into believing that my skin looked fantastic. Once I stepped outside, the flakiness on my cheeks was apparent (And this was even when I moisturized well, applied HD Elixir, and a bit of HD #6 primer) Also, my pores became more visible than usual, and the product just made my skin look dull and "Cakey". I became sad knowing that I returned my wonderful Nars Sheer Glow for such a horrible experience in a bottle.

This will be returned immediately to Sephora, and will re-purchase my Nars Sheer Glow in Stromboli.

All in all, this product was over-rated and definitely not recommended for those with dry skin.
