I guess VVV's review tells all you need. But I just want to give my comment as well. This palette is GREAT! All the shadows are so pigmented and smooth. The turqoise Peace is one of the prettiest turqoise I've seen, and basically I love all the palette's colours. They're just shouting for you to play with them. And the velvety package is neat.
Okay.. can eyeshadow get any more amazing than this? I am so so so glad I read awesome reviews and purchased this. At first the colors looked a little bright too me for every day or any use at all, since I used to be stuck on strictly neutrals. But this palette really allowed me to step out of my comfort zone! And I am so glad I did because the possibilities with this palette are endless, I wear it to school, work, out at night, anywhere. You can make anywhere from the most neutral to the most dramatic look you would like. I couldn't even pick a favorite because I love all these shadows and use them all the most out of any of my other eyeshadows. They are all beautiful and flattering for all skin tones, there are bright colors and neutrals in this palette. No sparkles, just a little shimmer and LOTS of pigmentation. Recommend to anyone who loves makeup and I would say to check youtube for some beautiful looks using this palette if you are unsure how to use the bright colors!
During the UD FF sale, I was originally going to buy ransom and graffiti, but then I saw that they were both in this palette. So for a few more dollars I could have both colors and 7 more! What a great deal! Super cute packaging. These colors are amazing, super pigmented and bendable. I love all the colors in the palette. Would recommend to anyone!
I wasn't even gonna do a review on this but I just had to because I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! It's amazing- really, really amazing! The eyeshadows are vibrant and creamy, with a fantastic variety of color. You have to buy this!
Fantastic product. So many versatile and different shades. I love how there are neutral and bright shades in this palette to mix things up. Worth the money for 9 eyeshadows
This is my favorite eyeshadow palette. I originally bought it because I thought the purples, greens, and blues would be fun to play around with but actually I find that I use all of the other colors a lot more. Honey surprised me the most- it looked like a creepy frosted yellow in the pan but goes on a pretty soft gold color. I really like that all the shades are shimmery without the chunks of glitter that some shades in every other Urban Decay palette have. This is palette is great because you can create virtually any look from conservative office to extreme night-out with these 9 colors. The staying power and blendability is amazing, especially over primer potion.
this pallet is awesome! i was just going to buy grafitti, the green shade, and i noticed they were packaging it with the eyeshadow primer which i already used and needed more of so it was a no-brainer to just buy the pallet. the colors are awesome, bold, and stay put.
I LOVE this palette. My boyfriend got it for me last year for my birthday gift as I was eye-ing it for a couple of months but never gave in to buy it. The sample of primer potion was not that great, it didn't contain much product so that was a waste. The two applicators were really cute but it was annoying how it kept falling out of the palette so I took them out. On to the shadows! My most favorite eyeshadow is Scratch. It's a very beautiful neutral pink...I usually wear it all over my lid and put a little highlight color on my inner corners/1/3 of my lid and blend that and I look great! For Underground, I put that on my crease and blend that it in with Scratch eyeshadow. Truth...I really don't wear the green/blue/two purples eyeshadows but...I do use them as an eyeliner. Honey is the most gorgeous gold ever, you can just put it on your lid and go. I would recommend this palette to anyone as it is very versatile.
If I could only own one thing from Urban Decay it would be this palette. I reach for this palette more than any other that I own. The looks that can be created with it range from bold & edgy to soft & pretty - and everything between. It is amazing!
COLORS: I was drawn to this palette for it's vibrant jewel toned shades and they did not disappoint. What surprised me is how much I fell in love with that bottom row of neutral shades that I initially negated. Every single shade in this palette is absolutely gorgeous and unique.
THE FINISH: The finish on these shadows is not a typical frosty shimmer at all. The finish is more of a rich sheen which adds dimension to the colors.
BLENDABILITY: The shadows are extremely blendable and apply very smoothly.
PIGMENTED: Very! The shade you see in the pan is the shade you'll get on your eye. Be sure to use the included UDPP to get the most out of the colors.
LASTING POWER: Paired with the included UDPP they do not budge or crease. At all!
PRICE: The price is great considering you get 9 of the 15 shades in UD's deluxe shadow line in this palette.
PACKAGING: Covered in faux purple suede with a window of touchable metal mesh on the front. Magnetic closure, large mirror, 2 sponge tip applicators. Birds, roses, and leaves surround the mirror. Beneath the sponge tip applicators a tiny spider hangs from it's web. Wonderfully detailed packaging.
FISHNET is a unique violet shade which has a hot pink tone to it. Pair it with pinks to bring out it's violet nature, pair it with darker purples to bring out it's hot pink tones. It is a very unique shade that is fun to play with.
HONEY is pure 100% gorgeous gold. This shade is a truly yellow toned gold. Pair it with Ransom for a wild look, pair it with Zero for a smoky gold look, pair it with Shag or Underground for a rich golden neutral look - it's a surprisingly versatile shade.
RANSOM is a true purple. This shade is very vibrant and clean giving it a jewel-like appearance.
GRAFFITI is a pure mid-toned bright green. It's a dazzling shade!
ZERO is the black shade in the palette. It has a subtle sheen to it - it is not matte and I would not call it shimmer either. It has buildable coverage which makes it very versatile. It works with every color in the palette - pick any shade and add Zero in the crease, done! It's extremely blendable and easy to work with.
PEACE is billed as a bright turquoise. I believe this shade reads more of a bright aqua with a bit of turquoise in the undertone. It's a bold, wild shade!
SHAG is a soft bronze-y shade. It has very subtle pink undertones which make it especially pretty. This shade, like the other neutral shades, has a bit more iridescence to it's sheen.
SCRATCH is a unique champagne pink shade. This shade is one of the most beautiful neutrals I've ever seen and no description in words can really do it justice. It is perfect to use in a wash all over the eye. Applied lightly it makes a pretty highlight shade also.
UNDERGROUND is the perfect shade of fawn. It has a completely neutral undertone. This shade is beautiful in a wash or in the crease for a soft, lovely look. This is a HG shade for me. Shades like this normally look like dirt on my pale skin but this looks beautiful on me. It is perfect. I would never have thought to buy or try this shade - I'm so happy it was included in this palette and found it's way to me!
♥ Hope this review was helpful! ♥
I have had my eye on this eyeshadow palette for quite some time now. It wasn't until recently that my boyfriend told me to choose one of thing from the Urban Decay line because they were having their F&F sale. I chose this palette, feeling that it would be more worth it than getting a whole bunch of individual eyeshadows. When you really calculate it, the eyeshadows come out to about 3-4 dollars a piece. Great deal for UD eyeshadows! Honestly, you won't find a lot of eyeshadows of this quality. They are finely milled, not powdery, and go on like butter! Although they are shimmery, they aren't grainy. They just apply so smoothly. They are also extremely vibrant and pretty. What you see in the pan is what you will see going on your eyes. I love this palette because it gives you a mix of bright colors, neutral colors, and the very useful black eyeshadow to create a smokey eye. I would recommend buying the UD palettes instead of buying colors indivudually. It saves you money, and gives you a chance to try out colors that you probably wouldn't have thought of ever trying.
