I had this applied on by the makeup artist in the mac store. I don't know if she applied too much but it just looked unnatural for the first thirty minutes. It oxidized and finally gave me the perfect coverage I've always desired. But the sad disappointing comment I have about it is, it broke out my face horribly. I have sensitive combination skin and it made my nose look soo oily. I'm just happy I didn't spend the money to get it. I agree that you could easily smooth the product on with your hands and get blendable coverage but, this foundation is not recommended for people with sensitive skin.

It oxidizes. Choose at least one shade lighter!!!
This product will only work if you meet the requirements. If you can't fulfill the requirements, you are not gonna like the result.
If you have perfect skin, sure it will work for you easily. You will have very natural finishing.
If you don't have perfect skin, make sure at least your skin is not oily. The product gives you a shine. I can't imagine people who already have oily skin want more shine to it.
If you don't have perfect skin but your skin type is not oily, you can make this product work if you combine it with a good concealer. You need to find a concealer that can do a good job concealing your dark spots or eye bag or dark cycles at least 50%. Otherwise, don't expect this foundation to cover anything for you. It only evens out your skin tone and covers maybe 10 to 20% of the discoloring. You need to have some skill to blend the concealer evenly, of course.
If you use Face And Body Foundation with a good concealer, finish it with powder to set and reduce the shine. It should give you a nice natural look. You will like the result because the foundation doesn't give you you a chalky look or sit on the fine lines making the lines more obvious.
One big problem is that it oxidizes, usually after 20 to 30 minutes, it will show and be obviously darker. Since the foundation is sheer, naturally, you want to apply more layers to build it up and cover more, right? The problem is the more layers you put on, the darker your face looks. Your face will be darker than your neck, that is not a good look at all. Even when I only applied one layer, it still oxidized and made my face a little darker than my neck.
When you just apply, you don't see it oxidizes and makes your face darker. Just wait for 30 minutes, you will see what I mean. Most people test in the store and find a shade that matches. They don't wait for 30 minutes in the store to see if the color changes, why would they? That's how I got my color wrong. It matched great when I was testing it in the store. Bought the product and wiped it off. When I actually started to use it at home, I found out how bad it oxidized.
I am very upset about the Mac Makeup Artists didn't even warn me about finding one shade lighter due to oxidization. How could they not know? They sell this everyday.
I don't get the hype.
The formula is very sheer, extremely thin. It is equivalent to a tinted moisturizer. Even though it can be layered, it will not cover much, your skin will still show -redness/blemishes/scars too.
I love that it is moisturizing, and gave my skin a glow - but any tinted moisturizer can do this. The formula is very sticky, and felt like it never really 'set'. I didn't like this.
I always had to use powder over it, and then the 'glow' would disappear.
I am pale and neutral, I had C1 which was so yellow I almost looked jaundiced. N1 was far too pink.
'perfect' matching isn't necessary with this since it is so sheer, but if you do want a good match you will likely have to mix a couple colors. For ghosts like me I recommend the white.
The main reason I didn't like this was that after a few uses it started to really irritate my skin, it got really red and bumpy. I think it's from the orange peel oil.
I don't know why they had to include this since it has no benefit to the skin, just for fragrance I guess.
I don't recommend this, MUFE face and body is way better, no irritation and it actually covers.

I don't normally wear foundation, and I was originally looking for a tinted moisturizer. A few TMs broke me out, but after researching, I decided to try this light-buildable coverage foundation out. The make-up artist at MAC said that sometimes TMs have an ingredient that can irritate skin due to the "moisturizing" qualities.
I still only wear this for nights out or special occasions, but this foundation really lived up to my expectations! I use a stippling brush for very natural looking coverage and to even out my skin tone, sometimes just on problem areas. It does not dry my skin out (I have dry skin), nor break me out.

I wanted to love this product so much. However, there are so many issues I just can't be happy with it. I originally decided to switch from my Chanel liquid foundation to Mac Face and Body because I no longer wanted to spend 60+ for a 1.0 fl oz foundation body. Mac face and body is only ~30 for a 3.0 fl oz bottle. Furthermore, it is waterproof. I also wanted a light weight foundation just to even out my skin tone.
1. It did just that. It was a beautiful light weight foundation. It stayed put during even during the hot summer days.
2. Unfortunately, after about a couple months of using the products, I started noticing clusters of tiny bumps all over my face. I'm the one who would have an occasional pimple every few months. All these bumps all at once was a total nightmare. The only thing I changed was my foundation. I knew this was the root of the issue. I switched back to my Chanel. Slowly all these bumps became pimples, one by one. I dealt with the issue for over 6 months until my skin cleared again. I've always heard about how Mac's foundations break people out but I always thought it was about how well clean your brushes/ hands are, which I make sure mine are before I put it on my face. Unfortunately, I became another statistic.
3. Overtime, the foundation separates dramatically.
4. I'm so bummed this wasn't the foundation for me. The finish was amazing.

Mac Foundation Shade NC35, C4
Combination Skin, oily at t-zone & dry at cheeks
I got this in the shade C3, as I got it when I was a shade of NC25/30, and it fit my skin perfectly back then. The shade in this foundation doesn't really seem to matter that much, as it applies with a very, VERY sheer coverage, so I think the foundation actually kind of adjusts to a range of 2 or 3 shades.
I purchased this foundation after a long search online, when I only just started facial makeup (meaning primer, foundation, powder), so back then I really just loved how it toned out my skin smoothly without giving too much coverage. I still do like this foundation occasionally when I feel that I only need a bit of coverage, but I do tend to reach out for other foundations with fuller coverage as I only wear facial makeup on special occasions nowadays.
The bottle is HUGE, so I am not even halfway done, actually only about a third done of the bottle, and I am really contemplating on what to do with it haha. Too much product, don't think I will repurchase this again! continued >>
i have been wearing this foundation regularly since i bought it about a month ago. its a sheer, light coverage foundation however if you use a brush and buff it into the skin you can definitely build the coverage up a fair bit more. On my normal skin it does make me oily and shiny on the t-zone, however if you set it with a powder it minimizes this substantially. when i use a primer beforehand and a setting powder to finish it takes away this problem completely. i dont know how it would hold up with more combination to oily skins. however it would be great for drier skins or in the winter months when our skins need that extra hydration.
i paid $60 AUD for a whole bottle which seem steep but it works out cheaper than the better drugstore/pharmacy brands. i dont use much at all and i can see it lasting me quite a long time.
the package is fine. simple and seems sturdy enough.
Overall, i think this is a good product by mac. a nice foundation to use day to day, but not the best for coverage days when you have a few more blemishes but great when your skin looks good. i think i would repurchase, but thats not going to be anytime soon !
I absolutely love this foundation!! It is very sheer and smells good too. It is also 4 ounces for $30 which is hard to beat!

Range of colour= decent. Coverage= ok and pretty good if you layer. Finish= dewy but downright greasy if your oily like me. Smell= unpleasant and chemical, but this is always highly personal of course.
Not a repurchase because of my skintype, would recommend to people with dry to normal skin. Also a pro, it's a very low maintenance foundation that can be slapped on with your bare hands, profided that they're clean of course.

This foundation is very light coverage (watery consistency), but you can build it up with a few layers. I found the colour match great, no problem. I have oily skin so I definitely need to set it with a powder. The bottle is very big, 120mls so for AUD60, it works out as cheap as the standard supermarket brands maybelline etc. Bottle lasts ages! Only negatives, the liquid separates after a few months and you need to shake it well each time you use to combine it again. Also both bottles I have had have always leaked in the cap. I would purchase again.
