You know, this isn't really anything special, but I love it. You look at it, and it's very pretty but is it unique ?, no but it's great for me. I use this as a base for many, many, eyeshadows. I really like it and I'm glad I bought it.
I love this product. Worn alone, with other shadows or as a base.
When I wear it alone, I like to use an eyeliner pencil to give my eyes a more finished look, some mascara and I'm ready to go.
I like to pair this with greens or browns to create soft daytime looks, and I use it as a base with those same colors, golds and black to make gorgeous night looks.
I prefer this to the benefit creasless cream eyeshadows because I find that this one blends easyer and last longer (on me).
Sometimes I use a primer under it, specially when I want this to last all day long.
The only downside is that if you applyt too much on the crease, it will crease, so my solution to that, is apply the Bare Study on the lid and avoid the crease, and if I feel like it, apply some on the browbone.
As for the packaging, I like it. I do make sure that everytime I use it, I close it tight, and also store it upside down, just to prevent it to get dry.
At first I thought it was expensive for the amount you got, but now I changed my mind (a little) because this is really lasting me for a long time.
In the future I will buy me some other colors (hopefully I will like them as much as I like my Bare Study).

I have been wanting a paint pot for a while and i was glad when i picked on up on a blog sale. I love the colour and makes a great eye shadow base or on its own. It doesnt crease and it lasts all day too. I think its a great product from mac and i will be deffinalty be buying more mac paint pots in the future
I love Bare Study as an eyeshadow base. I mostly wear golds, browns and neutrals and this really makes my eyeshadow apply smoother, and more pigmented. It also keeps my shadow in place all day long without the fading I'd normally get by the end of the day. My favorite product prior to using this was MAC Bare Canvas Paint, but Bare Study is more convenient and more sheer - which makes it a little more versatile.

A great cream shadow/shadow base, depending on how you use it. If you don't like shimmer than this is not for you but I happen to like it. The packaging however I am not a fan of because the lid does not really seal nicely once you open it the first time and after about a month or two you can see that it has dried out and is pulling away from the edges of the container. You have to blend it in quickly or else it dries unevenly which can be a bit of a pain until you get the hang of the product.
I love bare study it is smooth beautiful color i use this as an eyeshadow base and a cheek highlight. will def repurchase!!! :]
I love a great eyeshadow base. One that doesn't crease and one that really lives up to its claims. MAC, you seem to always deliver for me. BARE STUDY is no exception. I was a little leary starting my daily eyeshadow application with a shimmer base. This glides on like water and blends so easily. I love it under shadows and all alone on days where I tell myself I'm wearing no makeup, but really do! I want to try Painterly next. Just so I have a non-shimmer in my stock.
I'm surprised by all the bad reviews for this product. I really like it. I don't have an eyelid crease so I cant say if the product does crease but it gives either a subtle pale shimmer if you use a little or if you have a heavier hand with it a frosty pale sheen. I use this alone all over my lid to give my eyes a pop of shimmer on days I dont want to do a full eye look or with satin taupe to give my eyes some depth.
Doesn't crease on me at all, and I like the subtle pearly finish. Sometimes I just wear it alone with some liner, I like how it freshens up my eyes when I am tired. Pigmentation is also really good, this is a great creamy e/s and e/s-base in one product, love it's versatility.
I really like this as a base for my matte shadows on days I want a little shimmer from them. I also found a cool trick: mix a dab of UDPP and a dab of Bare Study on my finger tip then tap it over my entire lid- it makes a nice sheer wash that lasts all day, minus the heavy shimmer. It just kind of tones it down a bit and the effect is quite pretty.
I love the texture of all the paint pots and this one seems to be a bit creamier which makes it easier to work with than say, Painterly.... Also tons of product for the price!! One of the more versatile Paint Pots, I use it all the time :)
