For Audrey .... Total cult polish and a real PITA to acquire when it first came out. Thankfully now, it's easily available. this for me, definitely not a "tip" color, but this rocksssss as a pedi shade during the spring summer. It's a great " I have no idea what color to put on" when you're looking for something a little different but not way out there. This is a shade I can see most skintones being able to wear ... even better on medium/tan skintones. It's a light "tiffany" blue in a cream finish. I have yet to meet a ChG that doesn't apply smooth as silk and this is no exception. fabulous "as is", even more fabulous with a few crystal rhinestones or some black nail art. Wear is fantastic, pigmentation is top notch. A great shade for adding some diversity to your stash!
my absolute favorite China Glaze. other brands have tried to dupe this, but i still come back to Audrey...
I bought this color after reading all of the reviews on MUA and beauty blogs. I bought it on eBay for only $5 including shipping. It was the best nail polish buy ever! This is the perfect summer color on my toes. They lasted more than 3 weeks with base and top coat. I want to paint my toes with this color all the time. The color matches the Tiffnay box perfectly and it is very flatering. I get complements all the time.
China Glaze's For Audrey is a Tiffany Blue, cream finish nail polish. This is one of China Glaze's most popular colors, and my all time favorite polish. Its an excellent polish with a thicker consistency. Not too thick, but thick enough to achieve opacity in one coat, though I usually apply two. I get about a weeks worth of wear from this polish with only minor chipping on the tip, and that's without any top coat. I love to pair this with NYC's Scandalous Blue Glitter. I can get upwards of two weeks of wear when layered with Scandalous Blue. This was my first China Glaze polish and it got me hooked on the brand. I can't recommend it enough. Between length of wear, the beautiful color, and overall quality, this'll remain my favorite nail color for a long time.
Ok so I will admit I bought this colour due to its hype. But seriously, I am glad I did because like all my other China Glaze polishes, it is such great quality and I find the colour really flattering. I would definitely say its a Tiffany blue when I put my finger nails up to any packaging.
Anyway, I love this polish and was definitely not disappointed.
I just bought a bottle from Sally Beauty Supply for about $6 USD. I have been looking for it for this color for the past month at Ulta and Sally stores (3 trips total!), and I finally got ahold of it. It can be hard to find, so it's worth it to call and make sure the store has it in stock, or maybe to just order it online.
I had used it before because I tried my friend's. I love the color and hers went on pretty smoothly. I used my new bottle today and the first coat went on streaky and thick. I've noticed this tends to be the case with matte polishes. Lucky for me, I also bought a bottle of polish thinner today and a few drops improved the texture. Hopefully it will apply smoothly next time.
In the end, two coats gave me a smooth, opaque, but thick result. I was concerned that the thickness of the layers would make it smudge easily - but it hasn't. I used Orly rubberized bonder base coat and seche vite top coat both last time and this time.
The last time I wore it, it lasted me about 10 days without any significant chips, although this is probably due in part to the top and base coats I used.
Color is beautiful, doesn't fade or discolor as time goes by.
Overall, decent price for a beautiful nail polish, goes on okay in the end, lasts decently well, and fetches you lots of compliments!
I did not like this polish at all! granted i did apply it in kind of the dark with 3 ppl in my tiny living room but still. i didn't feel like it was a real tiffany blue looked more minty to me (and i hate mints, i only like 1 by Sally Hansen mint sorbet). plus even though i shook it for 9 minutes give or take it was gloopy as well gloop! although i did like the pigmentation 2 coats with a base probably could have done 1. a lot of pooling at the cuticle too. plus idk y but this brush seemed different than other CG polishes i own. i liked this polish swatching on the nail wheel. too bad i really wanted to like this polish! :'(
I was looking for a color like this to round out my nail polish collection and decided to buy For Audrey because it was on sale. I can see why it's so popular as it's a beautiful color! It also lasts a long time without chipping which is a huge plus. The only problem I can see with this color is matching it to outfits but I have a lot of clothes in this color along with neutrals so it works. Also, the first coat can be streaky and hard to work with but gets better with the second coat. It's a lot of fun and you'll definitely get comments when wearing it. Positive ones I might add!
This is a very pretty color, slightly lighter and less saturated than the famous Tiffany blue. It isn't too warm or too cool, so it looks good on most skin tones. Application requires at least two coats and a steady hand, since it tends to be uneven.
Love!! This has fast become my new favourite colour. I'm very pale (way lighter than NC15) and this suits my cool tones perfectly. It's my first CG polish and I will deffo be buying more! I don't think the consistency or staying power is as good as with my OPI's but you get what you pay for and this is still excellent value.
