I've been trying out different treatments ever since I got my hair bleached from black to platinum and I have to admitttttt, this is definitely the best one so far! Made my hair smooth and fixed these two fried pieces I have right up. The only one thing I didn't like was the stickiness, but I'm not complaining because all you gotta do is wash your hands afterwards and it's gone. Also, the smell wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I mean, it wasn't exactly anything like smelling a Ganier Fructis product, but everyone made it sound like I was going to pass out at the first wiff, which I didn't. I suggest everyone try this product (:

This is one of the most impressive products I've ever used. It smoothed out my hair and made it super glossy. My hair is dyed but not especially damaged and I have a huge problem with flyaways and straight frizz. This stuff killed the frizz and got my hair to lay smoothly. Even my ends were sleek. I couldn't believe the difference it made with just one treatment.

The liquid is sticky and smelly (like coco butter and something rotten, but it's not that strong or scary) and takes forever to blow dry in. I never even make to the rock hard stage-- I try though! It is a hassle to use but I only have to do it once every 6 or 8 weeks. However, for results so amazing I shouldn't be complaining. I really love this stuff; it's made my hair look and feel so much better. If you're on the fence about trying it, don't be! It doesn't smell as gross as people say and it DOES WORK!

Reeeeeally wanted to share my experience with this, because I think it's the most useful hair product in the whole wide world (well, sort of).

It's for people who have totally destroyed their hair with bleach or dye, to the point where they have a lot of hair falling out and breakage. I used it when I had so much hair fall out in the shower that it'd cover the drain hole completely, and I had a mini mohawk on my head of where some of my hair had just broken off.

You can buy it on folica.com and Amazon, that's what came up on Google but I'm sure there's others. They have it at Sally Beauty Supply too.

Anyway:

Like I said, I had a lot of hair breakage. I'd been DIY-ing platinum blonde for a while, and I didnt realize how bad it was to overlap bleach (like, bleach already white hair again) so after a while my hair just started snapping. After a while I decided to dye it red but it was so damaged that it just didnt take to my hair, and I had a huge strip of light brown hair where the rest was red.

I have to preface this also by saying if your hair is just dry (e.g. not breaking) then this wont help at all. It's for hair that's actually splitting apart and snapping and breaking and falling out - not hair that just doesnt feel nice. It'll probably make that worse.

So what you do basically is just slather it on to dry hair, until it's all soaking. It's quite runny and drippy, and also doesnt smell very nice, but oh well. Then you blow-dry it until it dries hard. All your hair will feel like a rock, like dried hair gel. DO NOT TRY TO BRUSH IT OR BEND IT OR TOUCH IT WHILE ITS LIKE THIS. It'll just break off. Once it's all dry, go into the shower and just let the water rinse it away (dont touch it!). After it's all rinsed off, use a really good conditioning mask (protein dries out the hair, so you need to put moisture back in) and voila.

It totally repaired my hair. I could pull whole strands out when it was wet, now hardly any of my hair falls out and it feels SO much nicer. I also was able to dye it and the dye took really well to my hair! When my hair is dry, none pulls out or falls out, and when it's damp a bit does come out, but way less. It seriously is amazing. I totally 100% recommend this if your hair is damaged like mine.

I have HUGE raves for this product. My hair was ruined by a perm two weeks ago by a new stylist. It was damaged, frizzy, not retaining curly and breaking. I went to my regular stylist and she trimmed it and I made an appointment for a BKT (Brazilian Keratin Treatment). It came time to do the treatment and my hair was too damaged for it. I was stuck with hair out to there that was still dry and damaged looking. I did an Aphogee treatment last night and it's like my hair has been completely transformed. It's much more manageable and the chemical smell of the perm even dissipated a little bit. I don't think I left it on long enough and it still made a huge difference in my hair. As for the smell that other reviewers mention; it really isn't that bad. It goes away and is kind of nice after awhile.

I've been using this for years but sadly, I've been slacking and can definitely tell the difference. I began using this after double processing my haircolor from black to blonde.

If your hair is not damaged, you probably won't notice a difference. But if your hair is damaged, you'll see results even after one use. If you had a a severe dye job/bleach/chemical process that has left your hair feeling gummy or fragile, use this. Breakage? Use this. It isn't a product that just makes the hair feel better, it actually repairs the hair and stops breakage. I would use this every six weeks and my hair grew the longest it has ever been, which was amazing because I was toning and touching up roots every month, not to mention using a flat iron! Since I have stopped using the product (almost a year), my hair has been breaking and is not nearly as healthy or long as it once was.

The process itself sucks in every way, the product smells like cat pee and it's sticky, too messy to apply from straight from the bottle, have to use a spray bottle that ends up getting clogged, takes so long to dry that my hand gets a cramp from my hairdryer. But it's so worth it.

I stalk this website regularly to find the best products on the market but have never taken the time to leave a review until now. This product is worth every penny and more importantly every moment of my time. I have long (to my mid-back) double processed hair, with some strategically placed highlights too. (8 levels of lift) I go from a dark brown to nearly exact Naomi Watts blonde. My hairdresser was the best on the planet. Never overlapping the bleach or deposit color(which will break the hair),never any gold or brassy bands,no damage. I had an appointment every 3 weeks for years. Well, life happens and she moved out of state. Then the saga started. It has been all but impossible to find a new hairdresser that knows how to properly double process hair. To save you from all the upset, tears and nearly dyeing it back to brown and cutting it all off drama,ok maybe a little...breakage,breakage and more breakage! They just do not know how NOT to overlap and apply only to the regrowth. So with seriously damaged hair I did some research which lead me to Aphogee's two step protein treatment. After reading its great reviews I picked it up at Sally's Beauty Supply. Hint: take off your top and put an older towel over your shoulders. It is messy and sticky and I was prepared for the stench, that I didn't think was that bad, but my husband came home and nearly gagged. Everyones tolerance is different. I followed the directions exactly. Blow drying it into my hair very gently being careful not to move or aggitate the hair. The protein bonds to the hair and turns rock hard. Jumped into the shower letting the water just run onto my hair for a while before touching it and applying the balancing moisturizer. I let my hair air dry for at least an hour before using a hairdryer to finish up the last bit of dampness in the back. IT'S NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE! Strong, shiny, swingy, healthy non-fried hair. Here's the kicker- about a week after the Aphogee treatment I was able to find a hairdresser who did a fairly good job with my color. Two seperate hairdressers in the salon told me I had "hair that was healthy and in great condition". What a change from the broomlike hair I once couldn't stand to even let get inside my shirt it was so prickly and dry. These bottles should be bronzed and put in the Metropolitan they're that superb.

This is an amazing product. The truth is that it's messy and it's time consuming but it's only once every six weeks so it's not a big deal. The most important thing is that it really works. I am biracial and had cotton like mussy hair, thin and brittle hair from over-processing. My hair is also naturally dry even without chemicals. It has been that way all my life. Immediately after using this treatment I wasn't impressed, but a few day later I just can't tell you how impressed i was with the quality of my hair. I have spend thousands (not hundreds), thousands of dollars on products which didn't work. I am very impressed with the results. My hair is actually soft and shiny now and not frizzy like before. Something I never thought I could achieve. The only down side is the time and it's sticky but it's worth it because the results are amazing. The smell isn't that bad. I don't mind it at all. You MUST follow with a really good conditioner. I use Aussie's 3 minute conditioner and it works great. This treatment is also really cheap compared to the results it gives, another added bonus.

BAhhhh I'm sitting here with step 1 fully mixed as per instructions sitting in my hair and euuw it smells so bad like honey and vomit why did not one mention this smell it's appaling. I was about to slather it all over my hair but got to the smell and only managed the tips. I will update if results are wonderful otherwise I will never buy again it smells so bad. So bad. Why?
UPDATE: So I hate to say it but this did work for the half arsed application I managed to pull off despite the terrible smell. Upon the first wash of my hair afterwards, though my hair was back to it's normal dry nature. It seems a waste to go through all the smell and waiting for this product to dry/set and then washing it out for only a day of smooth soft hair. In that instance I could use Infusiums's Moisture-ologie Leave-in conditioner - even overnight with half the trouble and just as much or more pay off in conditioning. I'd recommend a pass on this one.

Well let me start by saying when I first tried this I thought meh! its ok nothing special.........FAST FORWARD 4 days and wow this really really makes a difference. My bleached hair felt rough and not healthy looking at all. However after using this product I have noticed stronger shinier and healthier feeling and looking hair. Please give this product a chance if you are in hair desperation. IT WORKS!
