When I went to Sephora in America, I went directly for Urban Decay's liner in Zero. I had heard great things about it and I wanted a nice black color for my waterline. One of the SA's there, who was so nice, told me that MUFE's pencil were much better and I should go for that one instead since it's an intense black. I finally gave in to the SA's recommendation, but--I wish I hadn't. It's true this is a very intense black, it's glides very nicely, is creamy---but the thing that was a waste of product for me was sharpening this pencil! I used a pretty good sharpener, but maybe I was doing something wrong *but then again, how hard is it to sharpen a pencil??* Everytime I went to sharpen, it was very difficult and to get a decent point, wasted a ton of product. Finally, the inside of the pencil fell out of the wood---so into the trash the rest of this goes. Maybe I got a dud or maybe my sharpener wasn't as great as I thought, but the wood on this, is very difficult in my experience to sharpen. Good product, bad delivery. And considering this is fairly expensive for a pencil liner-and I go through them quite quickly, I have to say this was a huge waste of money for me.
i bought this e/l because many people said that MUFE is a great line, so i thought i would try this black e/l to maybe replace my ud one...in comparsion to ud zero, MUFE does stay on a lot longer on my waterline...so thats a good thing...but the color, yes its black, but not like dark black...ud's e/l shows up as like a dark black on my waterline, and MUFE shows up as like a light black or even grayish...MUFE e/l is also creamy, so it was easy to apply...i just wish the color was darker
i got this a while back after hearing raving reviews. it's pretty good, i find that it doesn't smudge as much as other pencil eyeliners do. i usually apply to my waterline and it stays put for a couple hours before fading. which isn't so bad because face it, ALL pencil eyeliners smudge/fade.
Stays put and the color is more intense compared to other black liners. The downside is you have to sharpen often. However, I think they angled the pencil in a certain way so that when you sharpen it only takes off the wood part and not the actual crayon so you're not wasting what you paid for! However, it would be amazing if they made this in retractable form or it was slightly longer pencil. Another downside is that if you're drawing over eyeshadow, it can be quite challenging to draw the black line because of the powdery consistency of the shadow. I've had to wipe the pencil on tissue sometimes or move down to my waterline before continuing to line my eyes but I think this is just an inevitable consequence of pencil liners.
This is my on-the-go product, when i don't want to spend the time mixing with my BE minerals liner, i would use this one. only eyeliner that doesnt smudge on my eyelid and its in the blackest possible way a pencil liner can ever be. it is a bit pricey for a pencil eyeliner and didnt last me a very long time but does its job. def. will repurchase until i find one that doesnt smudge and cheaper.
This product is the best eyeliner I have ever tried. I have tried many upscale and drugstore brands with the same end results - melting eyeliner. I wanted eyeliner that stayed where I wanted it to go. I didn't want eyeliner that melted or found it's way into my lines. THIS IS PERFECT! Going forward I will stick with this line of eyeliners. Can't wait to try other colors.
For washing off, it is NOT a hassle, it washes off pretty well.
I purchased this in Matte Black 0L and I am IN LOVE! Prior to this I'd been using Urban Decay's 24/7 Liner in Zero. I have oily lids, and with the warmer weather UD's liner kept smearing and melting even if set with an eyeshadow and primed with UDPP or TFSI. This eyeliner is WONDERFUL. I ahve not used it as a shadow, only a liner and it does NOT budge by comparison. It does start to fade toward the end of the day, but not by much. It's very creamy and very black. By comparison, not as black as UD's ZERO, but a second application fixes that. I would HIGHLY recommend this to any who have oily lids like myself. However, I have not tried smudging it because I don' typically smudge my liner, so I cannot comment on that. I will say that it IS difficult to sharpen, I can't quite get the same sharp point on it. I use Tarte's sharpener which works fine for all my other pencils. Subtracted points from packaging quality because of this.
I can think of 30 drugstore eyeliners that can beat MUFE's Aqua Eyes Waterproof eyeliner. Price-wise & quality-wise.
-Smudged a lot
-Weird waxy consistency
-Dull black color...looked leathery
-Expensive
-Hard to sharpen
I would not repurchase nor reccomend. continued >>

I got it in the Best MUFE kit so didn't pay full price. I like drugstore waterproof eyeliners like Revlon Colorstay, Almay, and Maybelline Unstoppable but this eyeliner is slightly better than these. I have very oily skin, lately I haven't been wearing eye primers but MUFE Aqua pencil goes on smooth, creamy, doesn't smudge and best of all, it's a nice dark black. I wear it for 8 hours and staying power is great! I do have to sharpen often but don't mind that...
