This is a DAY cream? Way, way too greasy and heavy to be used during the day. The smell is kind of funky also, though not necessarily in a bad way.
This stuff just plain broke me out. Too greasy, to heavy, does not absorb well and smells funny. I can't stand having that smell on my face to begin with, but to top it off with massive zits... No thank you! I'll pass on this stuff next time I see it at the store.
It is mosturizing enough, however, what's up with smell(some kind of powder medicine)?,Yuck! It doesn't smell like carrot at all. It leaves slight orange color on skin.. I just use it on my neck area at night. I would have like it, if it was unscented.
I found this creme to be far too heavy for my combo/acne prone skin..its called simply "carrot creme" on my jar, and I have had the two samples i got from my mom for at least four years..one is almost gone. I have used it during dold months to sooth my chaffed area around my nose (it burns for this purpose however, but keeps it from flaking and cracking). I also use it sparengly(sp?) as an undereye creme in the winter at nighttime and it works wonders. And unlike many of you..I love the smell. Sweet and fresh to my tender nostrils!
My skin did not absorb this at all. It left a thin coat on my skin. It nominally moisturizes, but is not any better than cheaper drug store brands. If you don't like to use scented products on your face, this won't be suitable; it has a sugary-carrot smell.
I'm not very fond of the smell...but i only need to endure it for a few minutes before i fall asleep. It's a good moisturizer. Quite thick, which is good for my dry skin, especially this time fo the year. I woke up with nice soft skin. I ahve the sample. Although a good product, I wouldn't buy it, because there are other stuff that smells nicer and works just as well...But I like that it's natural.
This might be good for someone, but on my combination skin it's overkill. Too thick. Plus, it smells like someone vomited up carrots.
This product doesn't soak into my skin well enough. It leaves to much behind. Though, this is a great flaky skin saver, which I do suffer from on and off when temperatures hit below 0°C. Its also possible this contributed to a couple breakouts I got. This is definitely not going to be part of my daily routine anytime soon. But also to keep in mind is the fact it has beta-carotene. A good anti-aging ingredient, as well good for sunburned skin.
Like putting dessert on my face. Yuk...didn't like this at all and it didn't do anything for my skin. Wouldn't buy again.
Oh Burt, why hast thou forsaken me? I heard so many great things about the Burt's Bees line, and I was desperately seeking the Grand Solution to all my confused/combo/sensitive/mature/sun-damaged skin issues, so I bought the Facial In a Kit in hopes that I would find my HG cleanser, toner, moisturizer and mask. BIG disappointment! To be fair, I loved the smell of the Carrot Nutritive Day Creme (yes, carrot cake!) and didn't mind the "rich" feeling. However, it really does *not* soak in to the skin, no matter how long you wait. And unfortunately, I've broken out like a 13-year-old since using this and other Burt's products! I *might* try this again in the winter, when my skin is super thirsty, but for now it just made my face a mess, with no visible benefits whatsoever. Bummer!
