This is the worst liquid eye liner I gave ever used! It doesn't last more then 5 hours and by that time it's smearing on my face. The worst part is that once this product dries it flakes, there's just no stopping it. I've used 2 different shades and even tried the waterproof formula, I thought it was worth trying because of the price, trust me, you don't need this crap in your collection.
I love this eyeliner when its actually on my lids and if I happened to somehow bypass my eyelashes in the process. HOwever that hardly never happens - if even the smallest amount gets on my lashes, they are instantly hardened and impossible to 'fix'. I also really dislike the applicator compared to the regular wet n wild liners. Will not repurchase
I like how it looks in the end and it was definatley waterproof, long-lasting, and stayed put to my somewhat oily eyelids.
I didn't have any trouble with the applicator tip like some other MUA users have found, but it sometimes did clump my lashes and was hard to remove off of lashes.
It indeed was hard to remove- even with a waterproof eye makeup remover. It took a couple go-overs/tries to remove it with my ordinary makeup remover. Although what I though was all gone- it wasn't. I know it had to be the eyeliner, as that was the only thing I've changed in my eye makeup. After removing, for the next couple days I'd find random black specks around my eyes. Best I could describe it..it was really annoying. I've never had that happen before.
I've learned that baby oil is another alternative to eye makeup remover- and it indeed worked with this eyeliner, though it does leave a bit of a greasy feeling. It removed ALL traces of it. No black specks this time. Nothing some water and pats with a towel can't fix.
Overall, I'll save this when it's expected to rain later in my day, or to the amusment park (The rides you'd get soaked on)
I just bought this product as a substitute for my mac liquid last liner which is gona be discontinued:( But so far I love this product, and im kinda confused why there are so many bad reviews. I noticed the good reviews came from asian's with oily and non-existant lids, which I have, so im thinking this product will do well for me. Packaging isnt so good, but i dont care much about that. Some of the bad reviews are about not being able to take it off, but to me thats a great thing.
I don't usually wear eye liner at all, because I hated the pencil type liners I had tried. This is the first liquid liner I've tried, and I don't understand why it has such poor reviews! It took me a few times to learn how to use it, but that would have been the case with any liquid, since I'm new to them. It's certainly a bargain compared with other brands. Not only is it about half the price, but there's much more product inside the bottle.
One of the complaints people have, that it's difficult to remove, I actually consider a GOOD thing. If an eye product comes off easily, that usually means it will come off when you don't want it to, and I don't want to have to keep checking myself in the mirror all day. Anyway, why would you take your liner off every night, just to put it back on the next morning? I just leave this on, and it will last for a few days! NO smudging, NO flaking!
I also haven't had a problem with it running over my lashes, as some people complained, but I always swipe it on the rim of the bottle a few times. You can't just dip it in, and then put it straight on your lids. The trick is to swipe it until there's only a little left on the wand.
This is HG for me. I have super oily skin, and this stays put all day.
I do a really quick mess proof eye using this liner. After prep (UDPP for me) place liner first on top lashline only, apply MUFE Cream Shadow in 11 gold to blend before drying using finger or brush. This looks like I've tightlined. I then take my powdered es and apply as normal. Some days I'll go over the whole thing with a thin line, tidying up and blending a bit with my base e/s brush. If any liner gets in my lashes I just run through with a spoolie to declump prior to mascara. I've gotten the whole deal down to less than 3 minutes total.
Lasts all day, and comes right off with Origins Clean Energy Cleansing Oil. My only complaint? Wish it came in more colors!
Not waterproof. Need I say more? Oh, and the applicator is terrible as well.
The eyeliner comes in a small container and decent size handle. The applicator itself is stiff and not flexible at all. Although the liner is very pigmented, the product was very wet and took a while to dry on my lid.Throughout the day I found that my liner smudged and transferred onto and a bit above my crease area. I tried cleaning off the smudge/transfer off with a wet q-tip without retouching up the liner itself on my lid, but within the next two hours the smudging and transfer occurred again. This was definitely not a pleasant experience with the liner.
The applicator of this product is absolutely TERRIBLE. It doesn't move around and it literally scrapes your eyelid while applying the liner. And instead of waterproof it should have also been labeled makeup remover proof because it wouldn't come off with any makeup remover! I had to scrub and scrub my eyelids for it to somewhat be removed and at that point I had irritated eyes. Probably one of the worst products of all time.
When i first saw that the reviews for this product werent that great i didnt really inderstand why, because it gave me no problem. now, i understand. the real downside for me that i didnt notice at first is that it clumps up horribly on the lashline. To add on to that its really hard to wash off. i wont be using this again.
