i dont use this for foundation i use it for a blush brush and it is real nice that way... i think its to little for foundation but thats just my opinion
I love love love this brush! I have 2 of them and I use one to apply my liquid foundation and the other for cream blush. It blends so well and leaves no traces of application on your face. It makes your foundation look like a second skin and not like foundation! Now if only MAC would make a really mini version of this brush for concealing...
This brush does apply liquid foundation flawlessly and it makes me use less products!! i even use to appy moisturizer!! The brush is worth its money as it will be my "Everything" brush so if you invest in one brush invest in this one!!
Erm...ok ive just read the reviews here after buying this brush and I can see im definitely the odd one out here! But the brush i just did not like at all. Where do i even start...firstly, the obvious its very expensive £25 in the UK! The MA rec this for cream blush application- i tried that and either too much blush went on or i could not blend it into my cheeks properly. Then I tried it for foundation- ewww picked up far too much and couldnt blend it in. My foundation looked heavy and cakey it only looked smooth and nice once i did it with my fingers. Then theres the shedding. All over my face black hairs. That has never happened to me before with MAC brushes. Just awful. The thing is my 190 is so perfect it does everything- my foundation looks flawless with it, and my creme blush just glides on using it too so i dont know what i was thinking getting this piece of rubbish. Also after using the brush just twice it only had a little foundation on and blush cream but it really smells terrible. Couldnt wait to chuck this in the rubbish disguisting little thing.
This is the first brush I have bought from MAC with the purpose of aplying foundation.. so far I really like it! it does give me the air-brushed effect I was looking for, because it blends so well liquid foundation on my skin. Since is smaller than the 187 is easier to apply foundation on hard to reach spots, like around the nose or under my eyes. I was hesitant about the price but it worths the money!
LOVE!!!!!!!!! this is overall my favorite brush EVERRR..great for liquid foundation, and blush.. If you only had money to buy one brush at mac, this would be the one to get! it works miracles..
This is a great brush! I use it to apply and buff in cream blushes and it does the job perfectly! Also if you have some overly pigmented blushes (such as many of the NARS ones) it is a great brush to use as it applies them very sheerly to the skin and you can buff away until you achieve the look you want.
I loooove this brush. I use it for blending foundation. I know it can also be used for bronzer, blush and many other things but I haven't used it for that yet. It doesn't leave any brush strokes. It just makes foundation look amazing. Definitely worth the price.
Watched gossmakeupartist on YouTube to find this could be used for blending concealer in the undereye area. I tried it, and it worked well! Though it is quite pricey - I recommend you find it at a CCO.
I've owned my 187 for probably 3 years now. While I do love it, I kind of got sick of using it every single day and wondered if I could get better foundation results with a different brush. For a few months, I got on the 109 kick... using that daily for foundation. Again, I love that brush, too. But it wasn't spectacular or anything. On a whim, I bought the 188 at a CCO the other day and WOW. I am soooo happy I got it. In my opinion, the brush is a lot softer than the 187, and blends considerably better than the 187. Since the brush is so tiny, you can spread it around easier than with the large 187. Because of this, I feel like I use a lot less product using the 188. I'm glad I love it so much, because now I started using my 109 for contouring and my 187 for blush. It's fun to mix and match... but I honestly don't ever see myself ever NOT using the 188 for my foundation. The results are so perfect. I love it.
