The most amazing scrub for my combination sensitive skin!
The ultra fine texture is delightfully soft when mixed with water. Mixed with only a very small amount of water, it creates a much thicker consistency which makes for a wonderful mask.
The Grapefruit, Licorice & Aspergillus is especially brightening when left on as a mask for a few minutes in the shower each morning - this recommended by my beautician. Best idea ever!
Daily Microfoliant should definitely be one of the first steps in your daily bathroom regime. It ensures all other beauty products used after have the best surface to work with, and your skin gets the full benefits of the products.
Although it is expensive, it is definitely worth it for such great results which is why I will re-purchase again & again. The packaging is pretty good too!
My sister gave me an almost full tube of this and I was really excited to try it. The reviews are excellent and I'm sorry I have to bring down the rating...
The first few times I used it, I really liked it. The purpose of a dry exfoliant that becomes a paste when mixed with water was pretty unique. My skin felt pretty soft and even though I didn't notice decreased pore size like with my beloved Apricot scrub It was fun to use.
All of a sudden after using it my skin started breaking out. While I do get a few small pimples around my period, my skin is pretty clear. I was shocked to see not only big cystic pimples but rashy bumpy ones too. A little voice in my head whispered I was having an allergic reaction to something but I ignored it...I blamed it on stress, diet, travel etc and stubbornly refused to give up my Dermalogica scrub.
Fianally the acne cleared up (somewhat) but weekly when I would uses this, my skin would burn and be red for hours afterward and be so dry.I must be allergic to something in it? I gave it up sadly. And I still have so much left!! Im thinking of using it as a body scrub, just to use it up.
This product has helped clear my skin. The reason I have given it a lower rating is because I've only recently come to like it... when I initially first started using it I ended up with weird red bumpy dots all over my face that took ages to go away. So I stopped using it for a while. After seeing it my bathroom cabinet I thought I'd give it another go because it was expensive. Now I only use HALF of what they say to use plus i water it right down and rub it in my hands for a few seconds before putting it on my face. This seems to agree with me and I like the results (ie, clear, soft, bright skin). If it continues to impress me I'll give it a better rating.
This product is wonderful for people who want to have that facial experience without the expensive cost. I started to use this to lighten my freckles and after 4 weeks I did see a difference. The texture of my skin did improve and feeling softer after using the product. I recommend using it only once a week. I tried using it twice a week, however, I broke out in acne.
I had been using this product for around 7 months and don't really know why I stopped using it. I think I had way too much going on in terms of skincare products and lost track of what was doing what. Fast forwards to last month and I rediscovered this little beauty in my bathroom cabinet. I use it as directed, after cleansing, and thoroughly massage my skin for around 1-2 minutes. When I rinse off and apply my moisturiser I am left with soft, glowy, more even toned skin. I definitely think this has helped me with stubborn clogged pores around my chin and jawline!
lovveee it! I purchased this thinking this would be a weekly scrub but it lathers up great & is so gentle. its better at removing my make up compared to my burt bee's cleanser(which i still use to re-cleanse in the shower) I've only been using this for 3 months and have already thrown out my spot treatments i would use to help discoloration/scarring.. which usually always broke me out more due to moisturizing afterwards & active pimples on my face. but with this, my cleanser & moisturizer my skin is slowly but surely clearing and im so super excited keeping my fingers crossed i can finally have a microdermbrasion & see my actual skin !!
First of all, I have to say.. I LOVE THE SMELL of this! I know.. I'm weird. But it smells so good! Not a perfume smell though...
So.. The product is really good.. It lasts like forever and make your skin feel really smooth..
I don't know if it helps to get rid of blackheads and so.. Cause I still have them.. :(
But as I said.. the skin feels really smooth after and the moisturizer really sinks into the skin after you've scrubbed your skin..
I don't know if I'm gonna buy this again though.. it's too pricey..
But gosh.. the smell.. ahhh. ha ha :)
I have sensitive combination skin prone to not acne but clogged pores, and while this product did not contribute to my perma pore situation, it didn't clear it away. It's the consistency and texture of baking powder, albeit when you apply it to the skin it feels more textured than powder, but for me it wasn't strong enough. I think this product is perfect for normal skin types whose skin needs a gentle exfoliation, clogged pore people need something stronger, though I wouldn't recommend the apricot scrubs as they might tear the skin, this is still not strong enough for my skin, though I would still repurchase it if I don't find the correct strength balance for my skin. A great product and highly recommended for normal skins!
I have dull, uneven skin with large pores, and breakouts along my chin. I revamped my skincare routine to all dermalogica about a year ago, and unfortunately broke out. My roommate told me it was probably this stuff that made my skin so angry, so I stopped using this after a couple weeks and it helped. Ultimately, I don't think I should have switched to dermalogica at once. Then once I had a new skincare routine that kept my skin decently clear, I figured it was safe to add this back in. Nope. Used it ONCE and BAM nasty breakouts all along my jaw that took a week to clear. It was so bad, my mom nagged at me thinking I stopped caring for my skin altogether...ughhhh

Until I bought the MIA last month, I used this daily for about ~2 years every morning. Only in the morning b/c I never felt like it could remove makeup (I found I would never reach for it during biz travels, although I loved it wasn't part of the airline liquid requirement). Initially I loved the "stripped" feel of my skin, as it really took away any moisture away leaving my face ready to be applied w/ a goop-la of products thereafter.
Anyhow after 2 years, it was simply another cleaning product in a dry form... so moving on.
