I bought this back in Feb and wanted to wait a while before giving my review. I've been using it a couple of times a week and I have to say that I'm pretty happy with it. I used to be completely in love with mac pro longwear concealer, however I noticed that in photos I looked weird as the spf in it gave me 'flashback face' under my eyes and where I had applied the concealer. I wanted an alternative concealer by mac which had no spf, wasn't too thick and was long lasting. I had tried moisturecover but it didn't have the right amount of coverage that I need. The MUA recommended select cover up. I have a red birthmark on my cheek and some light pigmentation patches, as well as brownish undereye circles. I wanted an all in one concealer to cover all my probs without the need for foundation. Select cover up does the job! I'm glad I bought it as I look ok in photos now and it covers my flaws. I use a mac 130 brush to stipple it on and buff it in. The colour match is good, NC30 and it doesn't oxidise like the pro longwear concealer does on me. However it's not as long lasting as pro longwear, I need a touch up under my eyes if I was going out for the evening for example. A little goes a long way with this stuff, be careful not to apply too much as it can go cakey. I love the packaging of this, it's easy to squirt the exact amount needed (unlike pro longwear!) I think the price is good too as only a small amount is needed so can see this lasting a long time. Overall I would recommend this if you need a medium coverage concealer, have normal skin and want to look good in photo's! Xxx

My first concealer and it was my only concealer for the first few years of wearing makeup. I was matched with NW25 for my undereye circles. It was great at first but I think my eye area changed over the last few years of late night studying. It fades, it doesn't cancel out my circles, and it can be cakey... it's not even moisturising. Re-applying would make it even more cakey and make my circles more obvious. Also, it doesn't match my face because sometimes my powder foundation fades and I see this patch of peachiness. I believe I'm on my 3rd/4th tube but it'll be my last one (unless NC30 would be better for me). In order to use it up, I've been mixing with Revlon's age defying concealer and the combo leaves a more concealed/yellower/slightly longer lasting/less cakey coverage.

This review is based on my FIRST use of this at the MAC counter.

The SA steered me away from the studio sculpt concealer which I initially wanted to get after reading the reviews on here. She went on and on how it won't do any good for me and my needs. She advised me to get the select cover-up, I was open to other concealers so she put it on me: under my eyes, around the nose, mouth, acne scars and pimples.
Right then and there it looked great, it provided good and natural coverage and I was sold! She matched me to NW25 (I'm NC40 in foundation)
When I got home about an hour or so after, I looked in the mirror and was horrified! I had no idea I had fine lines under my eyes until that day! The concealer had settled into my lines and made me look 5yrs older! Keep in mind I did apply eyecream that morning. In terms of the other areas she applied the concealer, it did look a little cakey and over the top. I thought maybe it's the way she applied it on me, with a brush.
Packaging is good, easy and clean to use. You can carry this everywhere because it's so small.

I haven't tried it out on my own, I think I'll apply it with my fingers and see how it goes. Will update soon!

PROS-
-Obviously great color range
-Doesn't break me out
-Amazing Coverage
-Not Cakey
-Lasts a long time
-Packaging lets you control how much product comes out.
CONS-
-Smells Funky

I apply my concealer using a MAC 224 tapered blending brush and it works Beautifully! But when i want a more natural look, i just use my clean fingers! :) This concealer is by far the best concealer i have tried EVER! It is amazing for acne and acne scarring/left over marks.

I can honestly not live without this product! It's amazing at covering spots and giving skin a clear appearance without looking too 'caked on' over foundation.
The product is good value for money, I use it every day (sometimes twice if re-doing make-up) and one little tube lasts around 9 months.
Would definitely recommend to anyone who needs a little more cover than normal :-)

I do like this product but I have some caveats; for one it doesn't quite cover my shadows which are quite dark, and it tends to settle in the fine lines around my eyes. It also runs if I cry or if my eyes water (same thing yet different ^_^). That being said I would buy it again because it is good value for your money, is easy to apply correctly, and does a good enough job if not an exemplary one. Then again given as I've yet to find an exemplary product in this area I may just be overly particular!

Love this concealer! It does an amazing job of covering up dark circles without caking. The packaging is perfect and sanitary and the amount you get is huge. It doesn't work very well at concealing blemishes, though, because when you blend it in on those smaller areas, it disappears (it doesn't do that under the eyes, though, because you're covering a larger area).
So it's not a two-in-one, but it's great for one of the main concealing purposes.

THE BEST YET. I have this in NW45 and it blends with my skin perfectly. I wear it under my eyes even when i do not have any makeup on and you cannot tell its there. The only complaint is that I wish it were a lil bigger, but that really doesn't matter because in my case a little goes a long way. The price may be some what pricey, but I have a Mac Pro card so that knocks the price down 40%.

This concealer works amazingly for covering up red areas like around your nose or on spots. You only need the tiniest amount to get a complete coverage. And for that reason I'm figuring this will last me for another year or two. Really good coverage.
However it is a bit too dry for covering up dark circles under the eyes. I find that it settles into my fine lines and makes me look older. Not very flattering.
Since i live in Sweden prices on MAC products are a lot higher. In USA this concealer retails for $16.50 while in Sweden it retails for about $25, so I do think it's quite expensive. But hey, it will last me a looong time so it might be worth it. Then again, because of the price I will look for a cheaper one when this runs out.

Does a good job of cover my dark under eye circles, which were inherited. My color is NW45, I set it with translucent powder works well.
