I loathe majority of shimmery bronzers, I only can use them on my cheeks because I have very oily skin. So I went to ulta because I was looking for a very subtle bronzer, nothing muddy, orange, shimmery or a fake tan, mind you I'm already pretty tan/olive skintone. I am inbetween foundation shades and I tan easily (change colors like a Chameleon) and bronzers help me tone down the ashiness if my foundation is too light. I really wanted the Hoola bronzer everyone raves about it so I tried it at ulta's testers on one cheek, and then this bronzer was on sale, and I had a manufactor's coupon so this came out to be $2.29, I tried it on the other cheeck, to be honest, I cannot tell the difference. This is a good Hoola dope for under 5 bucks. Highly recommend it because it blends well (not like most chalky drugstore products), its matte, has good brown color payoff, and its mineral.

This bronzer has a weird smell to it, but I don't notice the fragrance once it's on my face. I am able to use this without getting that "dirty" look, even though I am fairly light skinned. It doesn't look like a glitter bomb either. Just the right shade and right amount of shine to it.

This product pleasantly surprised me!

It was a great price, you get lots and it lasts for a long time.

Goes on well and lightly, so you can build your bronze, rather than trying to buff some off (as you do with some bronzers).

I like that is barely has any shimmer to it... just the right amount.
Enough to catch the light and look nice without looking like a craft store exploded on your face.
It's matte enough that I even use it as a contour powder (and it is a great colour for it!).

I find the colour is great.
Rimmel seems to really nail true beige-based natural looking neutrals, rather than some other cosmetic lines that are pink or orange based.

The only thing I don't love is the packaging it comes in. I prefer lids that are hinged or attached in some way. I find the lid often comes off and a bit of the loose powder ends up all over the inside of my make up bag and over whatever products are in there with it.

Recommended!

i love this bronzer! it's so pretty and subtle. i've used MAC bronzers and WnW bronzers but this one blends really well, and it has a great soft matte texture. it's a bit neutral toned because i'm super yellow and this doesn't really clash with my skin. it just looks like a natural glow. you don't get a fake tan look with this. wow, i'm really impressed with this product. also it makes my blush look even better since it gives it more dimension. i will definitely be repurchasing this!

Not for me... I was going to buy this based on the great reviews (and the amazing cheap price) BUT... I just tried one of the testers in the store and ... no.. The overwhelming fragrance alone was enough to disuade me. Seriously rimmel needs to quit it with the crazy perfume they put in most face products. I mean this stuff smelled so strong that even after washing my hands at home I could still smell it! Gross... that's just an irritation waiting to happen. And the colour was kinda mudd-y and it didn't really blend great. I tired it on my hand and usually products blend easier and nicer on the back of my hand than on my face but this one just stood there, one big swipe.

So in summary:

- Strong fragrance
- No ingredients on the back
- Muddy color
- Difficult to blend

And one big NO for me.
I will entrust my bronzing to my HG Too Faced bronzers.

Thank you.

I'm not sure if I am quite in love with this product yet. Right now I *like* it. As mentioned in other posts the packaging isn't that great, but that can be overlooked. I'm quite fair so I don't need a very dark bronzer, but I think this one is almost too light. I couldn't even see it when I put it on. I added more but didn't want to pile it on since I didn't want it to look obvious or streaky (just wanted a noticeable, light glow). I do like that it isn't that shimmery though - the matteness is nice.

I bought this when it came free with my Rimmel foundation. I must say that this bronzer is pretty good :) this color is good for my fair skin; it's not overpowering at all. it just gives me a nice glow! I use it not only on my face, but also on my ears and neck so that it looks like a natural tan. love it!

This is my absolute favorite bronzer! I am very fair, and instead of going out and buying new foundations when I want to appear a bit tanner, I just use this instead! It has zero shimmer, which is one of the reasons I can wear this every day, over my regular foundation without looking stupid. It is pigmented enough to not have to apply layers, but not too pigmented that I have to blend it in forever. Costs less than $5, gives enough product to last a while, and lasts a pretty good part of the day!

Found this in my local walmart at buy one get one free! So 2 for $4 bucks wasn't breaking my bank! I got sun light and I'm glad I did! This is subtle and buildable, and my favorite part, MATTE!!! I have a smashbox one with bits of shimmer, but I'm not to fond of looking like a disco ball! So I gave this a try. The packaging could use an overhaul, perhaps a flip top lid instead, besides that, the price was great, the size of the pan is insanely generous! I use a skunk duo brush so I can control how much color I want on my face, since summer is slowly fading, I'm not as dark as I was a month ago, but with this I can still look like I just came back from vacation! Also, great to use as a contour color. All in all give it a try!!! My fave bronzer so far!

I'm probably on my second or third of this bronzer! it is a very natural color and I agree that you can't really use too much of it. it's easy and fun to use, not expensive, not shimmery, brown (not orange), and not breaking me out! I think it's quite similar to the NYC bronzer (this and rimmel bronzers are a good replacement to the nice but wayy to expensive Hoola (from Benefit)). Will buy again!
