When used in moderation, this is great. I use it to cover certain scars on my face. You must pat in gently and never rub it in! Application is very tricky! I don't wear it all the time because it unfortunately makes me break out, special occassions only. :/

This does everything a primer is supposed to do: makes foundation go on better, and helps it last longer, and minimizes the pores - although it does'nt make them disappear... i have very large pores around my nose area ad they are still visible after applying this. Still, it's better than my smashbox primer.
but the reason i love this product so much and gave it 5 lippies is because of it's texture. my skin looks and feels... "velvety" with this. it's just sooo beautiful. every time i applied it i get compliments on my skin. this "velvet" quality shows through foundation, concealer, finishing powder and blush. it's amazing.
its a shade of pink in the jar but it goes translucent on your face, so don't be scared because the color won't show up. also, i don't find it very expensive: it has a reasonable amount and it makes your skin appear so healthy it's definitly worth it.

At the risk of sounding corny, they really should call this Pores No More. This is absolute HG primer for my normal-dry, slightly sensitive/reactive skin. I could never really get rid of the visibile pores along my nose until this came along. Sadly, they do return after washing my face, but really filling them in during the day is enough for me.

As for oil control, I never do get too oily or shiny during the day. With other primers (Smashbox) and foundations (Studio Sculpt, Studio Fix PPF, MUFEHD, MUFE F&B, BB Skin -- which I'm still using), I had to maybe blot my nose once after a 8 hour long day. But I'm able to use this and not blot; without looking ashy. I still have a dewey/satin look, but without the grease.

Speaking of grease, the texture of this does feel greasy - but leaves the skin feeling moisturized, and in a more pleasing way than the silicone feeling of some others. But I've found I've had to use VERY sparingly, even with parched, winter skin. The base is pink, but dries clear on the skin. I absolute hate the packaging and would prefer a tube, even though mine came with a mini spatula. However, the HG status of this primer makes all the hassle and expense worthwhile. Definate re-buy. continued >>

I don't consider this to be a primer in the traditional sense. I use a separate silocone based primer and then add this over the larger pores on my cheeks & nose and to smooth the skin around my eyes before applying make up. It's lovely and makes me look younger for sure. You have to use it very sparingly! Don't overload on it or it'll "gum" up, a little goes a long way and it's really nice. continued >>

I have tried many other primers, from the very, very expensive to drugstore and this is definitely my HG! I am fairly oily, especially in the t-zone and have large pores. The best way I can tell this primer works is when I DON'T wear it. It really does give my face a smooth palette to apply either a liquid or powder foundation! And I wear it even if I'm not wearing foundation because it gives such a nice, smooth appearance to my skin! As far as the cost, I purchased a "two-fer"on HSN.com that was a really great deal. (It's not available anymore, though.)

I will definitely buy this again!

When I bought this primer, I was under the impression that the huge pores on my face would virtually disappear with this primer. I tried it and it blends like a dream and feels so nice on my skin. My make up stays on all day and doesn't look all 'melted' so to speak at the end of the day. Though, I only gave it 4 lippies because it does shrink my pores but not by a whole lot and are still quite visible and for 30 dollars, it doesn't do exactly what i was hoping it would do. But until I can find something that will completely shrink my pores, this will do due to its lasting power.

Great primer for the winter - and for dry skin. My skin gets drier with the cold air and other primers were falling short. My skin felt dry and tight after a while. I picked this up when I had a e-gift card for my birthday from VS and I love it. Feels great on my skin and my make up (both mineral and liquid) looks amazing over it. I think the price is reasonable for the amount you get/use and as far as it being unsanitary because it is in a pot, well...I am the only one using it so it is fine for me. If you are looking for a good primer for wintertime this is it. I can see it may be too much for summer but I will report back then. Wonderful product!

I'm really not sure what this was supposed to do. It didn't make foundation settle less deeply into my wrinkles, it didn't make my foundation seem smoother, it didn't seem to help with dry skin. It is expensive. The pros are it lasts forever, but if it doesn't do much, why would I want to use it for long?

I have combo/dry skin... I used a tub of this as my first primer and liked it... then I went ahead and tried MAC, Revlon, Smashbox primers and realised that the moisturising quality of this product was what I needed. My sister with oily skin just turns into a grease ball when she used it, but for me, it's perfect. Especially when I have a cold or am hungover and need a little bit more of a moisture fix under my foundation. I have now repurchased and I think that with 3 other unfinished bottles of other brands floating around in my makeup case - I will just stick to this. It works for me... no pores, diminished signs of aging and liquid smooth foundation application. I am hooked now.
