Olive oil alongside other oils are great for so many reasons!
It not only takes off all makeup and cleanses my pores so well i dont even need facials! Stopped only coz i was getting lazy having to wash it off again with a face cleanser.
I have really dry skin and olive oil helps a little bit but my face is still dry it makes your skin more oily than anything and i have a feeling its breaking me out because the only thing ive been using on my face is olive oil and im breaking out pretty bad i dont think it has really any benefits for dry skin
I absolutely love using extra virgin olive oil as a facial moisturizer. I have quite bad acne, and I have found that my skin looks less red and inflamed when I use this, and I even feel like it helps my pimples to subside quicker! I will definitely continue to use this product and I absolutely recommend trying it out, especially since you probably already have some at home!

I'm so glad I stumbled across this! I read reviews for EVOO and it's many uses and thought I'd give it a try. So far, I've used the oil cleansing method to remove my makeup by using two pumps of the EVOO (I put in a travel lotion type pump bottle) and smearing all over my face while it's dry. This pretty much liquifes all my makeup and makes me look like I have a gray face! LOL! Then I wash it all off with The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil cleanser because I naturally have fairly oily skin. This gets rid of all the residue and leaves my skin clean and soft. Then I use the Tea Tree Oil toner and moisturizer and a drop of EVOO under each eye. My fine lines are much less since doing this. I've also put a travel size lotion pump bottle in my shower and after I've finished showering, I put a few pumps in my hand and rub it all over my body. After stepping out of the shower, I pay myself dry. I found, even with as dry as our Southern California winter has been, I've needed NO lotion, no additional moisturization, and my skin looks fabulous. I've also noticed my fragrances last longer because my skin is more moisture rich. LOVE THIS STUFF! I won't waste my money on lotions anymore, unless they're the scented kind I'm using simply for layering scent. For straight up moisture, nothing comes close. HG status, for real.

Olive oil is such a simple, but yet effective product to use. And I also have taken it up using it other ways than just a moisturizer,so I think I should share some of the tips and ways I use olive oil.Bobbi Brown uses it too! I use it in ; My hair, skin, cuticles and also exfoilliants.
Hair; For an upcoming special event,2 weeks before ditch the creams, mousses, heat, harsh brushes, extensions and basically anything damaging to your hair.3 times a week (prefably not after/before shower) Dampen hair and then massage into.Rinse but don't scrub, and airdry hair.Hello split-end free, moisturized hair!
Face;Using cotton wool pads, dampen face and apply for soft and smooth heavenly face..Or for a yummy facemask mix honey for moisture, carrots for detoxing or even some asprin works well.To remove makeup just add water (:
Body;Keep some in your shower and don't towel dry, first massage some in for extra moisture! Then carefully towel dry after.
Exfoiliate: (Not for the face) You need:Either brown sugar, white or salt.Olive oil and (optional) honey.Use grounded salt and the honey is really moisterising too!
Cuticules: Apply with a cotton bud and leave for 10 minutes, before rinsing and pushing your cuticles back. (the oil softens) then apply oil once more.
Basically this product (or shall I say cooking material) is heaven in a box.Love it!

There are soooo many great ways to use olive oil!!
1. I mix half water half olive oil in a bottle, and use that as my moisturiser and makeup remover. Its fantastic on my dry skin. Though I would never ever put it on underneath makeup.
2. My new favourite use. Cuticle Oil. I've been using lucas' paw paw ointment as my cuticle softener, but this is soo much better. Its' really softening, I rub it in and it softens soo freaking much. ive done this four times over the course of the evening, and they look better than they have in ages...heres hoping it lasts..
Im sure there are other uses, but i don't remember them right now.

After reading positive reviews about EVOO I thought I might aswell give it a go. This is how I used it..
NIGHT;
- Apply over entire face, including the eye area, to remove all traces of makeup.
- Wash off by either rinsing or with an extremely soft wash cloth I got from the Body Shop.
- Cleanse with Goats Milk Soap to remove the yucky, greasy residue.
A few times I've added sugar into it to use as a scrub, which felt amazing, but I've only done that once.
It's been just over a month since using it and I've either broken out or began to purge. If it has made me purge well I wish I had started this a bit before I did due to school being in about 2 days. The pimples have popped up near my mouth which I hate because they hurt the most and take FOREVER to go away.
I've now gone back to using my regular drug-store cleanser and using EVOO as a makeup remover.
All in all, I'm pretty bummed that this has made me skin like this, especially after I finally got it under control and nearly had all my acne gone!
I tried EVOO last year and never expected to be using it for so long. I do use it as a make up and eye makeup remover (I spread a few drops over a slightly damp cotton pad and wipe it gently over my skin and eyes) but more consistently I use it as a face moisturiser. I pour mine into a dropper bottle, drop two drops on my palm, rub it between my hands and lightly pat it into my skin. Under make up I tend to use one drop instead of two.
This is brilliant stuff, heaps better than most of the brands I have tried and balances the natural moisture in my skin.

I have very oily, moderate-severe acne. I've developed cystic acne for the first time about 2-3 years ago. I started using EVOO as a moisturizer and it has helped my skin tremendously. I use jojoba and/or EVOO to remove make up. If your skin type is similar to mine, it is okay to use the OCM (oil cleansing method); however, you'll have to modify it. I take a few drops of jojoba and/or EVOO oil, rub together to warm up and gently press all over my face and eyes. Then I gently massage the oil into my skin. I use circular motions and am very gentle with my eyes. I rub my eyes and it removes all of the mascara and primer and eyeliner. I then take cotton pads and remove the oil. You can also use those makeup remover wipes at this stage if you'd like. You're just trying to remove some of the oil and make up. Next, I wash my face with a cleanser to wash away the makeup, oil and dirt. I feel this is an important step. If you have oily and/or acne prone skin, wear makeup and use the OCM, you must STILL use a cleanser to remove the makeup and oil from your skin. Otherwise, I believe it will cause major problems, breakouts. After my skin is clean and I've used a toner, I take 2 or 3 drops of EVOO (sometimes I add jojoba oil) and press into my skin. Over my face, eyes and neck. Then I take a hot face clothe/flannel and steam the oil into my skin. Any other products I want to use (anti acne products such as glycolic creams or azelaic acid), I apply 20 or 30 minutes later. I've been doing this for ages and I can tell you, it has made a difference in my skin. It has even my skintone and faded dark circles under my eyes. It has faded hyperpigmentation marks, decrease my pores/size of my pores and reduced oiliness in my skin. I really do believe that EVOO is great for the skin. It does not cause breakouts in my skin. There is purging for sure; if you have acne prone skin, there will be some purging. Using a bit of EVOO, I think will benefit acne prone skin. I don't think you should cover your skin with this but using a bit and steaming it into the skin is fine.
