perfect for my indian skin tone. i can find the perfect shade in a drugstore anywhere. comes with a brush applicator that is easy to apply. but blending must be done by the warmth of your fingers. light tapping is sufficient to blend in. coverage is not the best, but then i dont have a lot to conceal. i wouldn't, therefore, recommend this for anyone with heavy under-eye circles. good for spot coverage. small enough to carry in a travelling makeup kit.
i finally pulled this baby out to try it out! the reason why is i had purchased it when i saw it randomly on clearance at walmart sitting there by itself for $4 plus i had a $1 off coupon for a loreal cosmetic so i decided $3 was def worth the shot. I finally tried it and heres what i think:
This normally runs anywhere around $6-7 in drugstores. I think its a tad overpriced for the product but its not too bad. You can find this wherever your Loreal products are sold like Walmart, Target, as well as Walgreens, Rite Aid, CVS. This concealer is normally available around the True Match Foundations/powders and blush groups.
I purchased mine in C1-cool light meaning the lightest shade in the Cool range. What i love about this whole True Match line is the wide range of shades, more than typical brands. i actually love the Cool 1 shade since its actually a cool toned pinkish shade that is light enough for even my vampire like skin :) which is for real one of the rarest things. This formula is rather nice. I like that is a med coverage concealer, with a bit of a brightening property to it. How i use this more liquid concealers is pairing them or using them to top my creamier concealers. So on its own it wont cover all imperfections or under eye circles a 100% but around 80%. it does take away redness and unevenness. This applies so easily and i love to blend it out with my fingers or a synthetic brush. The formula spreads and covers. have not had any problems with settling into fine lines or wrinkles, it covered pores, hasnt clinged to dry spots. some concealers can be too thick & cake up- this is just the right consistency that it covers and blends without caking. and it covers enough for me that it looks natural. it has a natural finish- nothing to matte or glowy. I really do like it! i use it paired with a thicker/creamier concealer for my awful darkened blue purple undereye circles and it covers & brightens the area just enough for my liking to be natural.
this comes in hard plastic tube like lip gloss does. its see thru with a silver twist on top with wand. the wand applicator is a plastic/synthetic hair bristle wand. (also like some lip glosses) its not bad but its not hygienic but what product is anymore? how i use it is i dab it from the brush onto under eye area and then use my ring finger to tap and blend it. you could also dab some onto dish/hand that way you are preventing cross contamination. i will use a separate brush to place this on any blemishes or pimples so that im not sticking this brush onto blemishes & then sticking it right back into the concealer. it could be cleaned as well pretty easily since its synthetic and plastic. i like the simple packaging and the brush/applicator isnt too bad either. its not a doe foot applicator like most of my liquid like concealers. its unique in my collection. make sure to close this properly to prevent this from drying out.
a pretty great concealer! better than some concealers ive tried. it covers my circles, redness and blemishes. esp if you use it as a topping concealer like i do. i know some may want to skip that step so if used alone, it works pretty well too. it wont cover everything 100% but i have found if you want full coverage from a concealer, tube/wand concealers are typically more of a liquid and will only provide light to medium coverage. Would i buy this again? Right now, yes i would. since its finally a concealer thats light enough (esp since its suggested to go a shade or 2 lighter than skin tone for triangle area below eyes well that was impossible except for this) so if you like the Cool 1 foundation from Loreal True Match line, this is a great pair! the shade is almost the shade just a tad lighter so it works well together! ill update once i use this up more.
This is an okay concealer. It has light to medium coverage, but i do prefer medium to full so thats why I wasnt so happy with it. I appreciate very much that there is a range of colors to choose from, and that IS why I bought it in the first place. Just dont expect something fullcoverage.
In a word, this is a decent concealer. Up to par with other true match products, it's easy to find a shade in your color. However, it can slip into places where you don't need it (such as into your eyes, and it stings a lot!). This doesn't cover extremely dark circles very well, which is my biggest problem, although it does an okay job when set with a light powder (I use the true match powder). It works great for my sister, who has much lighter circles under her eyes than I do.
The bottom line:
Not a bad option for light to medium coverage under the eyes, but it won't cover the darkest of dark circles, and it can slip into your eyes or over places you don't need lightening.
Messiest makeup I've ever had!! Too much product comes out of the tube. I keep tissue wrapped around it while in my makeup drawer...it's that messy. I will throw it away after getting a better concealer.
Pros: doesn't crease, blends well, natural-looking
Cons: poor coverage, not buildable
Comments: I like the fact that this stuff never creases, but that's probably due to it's thin/watery consistency. It looked very natural, but I need more coverage for my under eye circles. It's very sheer and not buildable at all. It's better for spot concealing, but that wasn't what I was looking for.
Will not repurchase.
W123 is a great colour match for my fair-light olive skin, a little warmer than my skin tone which is great for counteracting the darkness under eye. The forumla is very blendable, provides light coverage when applied with finger, but easy to build a thicker layer with a brush, and because of that, it is easy to slide off, therfore necessary to set with a loose powder. For a more thorough coverage under the eye, I use a peach toned primer underneath.
This was the first concealer I ever bought and it's really bad!!! The color selection sucks. I've tried all the light/mediums they had (it goes by undertones, which I hate because I'm not sure what I am) and they were all not matching! The next lightest shades, fair/light was so much lighter and I knew those wouldn't match either. I bought light/medium neutral and it's so dark, it's more medium than light/medium. The applicator sucks too! It has a brush tip that distributes WAY too much product. I used it only on blemishes and all I needed was a dot of product. You have to wipe the brush on the sides of the tube which wastes SO much product after doing it every time. This is definitely not a true match despite the great review Paula Begoun, the cosmetic cop gave it. She's the only reason I bought it! It's $9; what a waste. Btw, this product doesn't last very long on zits, shortly after using it, its mostly gone. It doesn't cover well either since I have to blend so much so that the miss-matched color isn't noticeable and so I can smooth in all the excess product.
Lately, i have been going crazy in the CVS down the street from my house. I have bought and returned so much make up im starting to believe the people who work there hate me for the inconvenience i pose on them. ANYWAYS! I decided to try a new concealer because ive been using the same one for years (from Almay) and I thought maybe it was time for a change. So i went and purchased three other, and horrible, concealers before i landed upon this one... which i absolutely adore! i love how its a little brush rather than a sponge applicator (if you know what i mean). It makes it so much nice to apply to the bags i get under my eyes from lack of sleep due to being a college student. But also i have a lot of red scars from acne and still suffer from stupid stress breakouts so having a good concealer is really vital for me. i like this one a lot because it blends nicely with the foundation i use and looks good under the powder i set my face with. The only thing i hate about this is the packaging. But that's what you get for a liquid concealer. i would recommend this product to people with mild acne, stress acne, and bags. And i will definitely purchase this product again. :)
I've been on a huge drug store kick lately and it's been fun lol. This concealer is a great match for my skin. I got c1,2,3 I think it is. In foundation I am CS nude beige, maybelline SS sand beige, L'oreal 146 nude beige I think, and MAC nw20. It blends very well and used lighty doesnt cake. Makes my under eyes look moist too which I like. Does well on my dark circles but I dont know about pimples because I don't have any to conceal at the moment.
