Yeap, it doesn't surprise me this has some of the best reviews around! I was looking for a primer for my eyes - I have very oily skin and nothing stays (whether we are talking about foundation, blusher or eye shadow it makes no difference...) unless I use a primer. Eye shadows seem to disappear after a few hours... So I decided to have a go at this one after seeing the reviews here. When I use this, they last all day and I mean, seriously, ALL DAY. I do my makeup at 7.00 every morning, and if I come back at 8 that night, my eye shadow will look as if I just applied it! The tube also lasts ages - I have mine since last year or something and it's still not over. I will definitely buy this again, I can't imagine me using eye shadow without this frankly!

LOVE IT!! You only need a small amount to cover eye area, goes on smooth and makes for a smoother eyeshadow application too. I used quo eye shadow for my first time using it and was amazed at how vibrant this primer made the purple shadow look.
Put it on at 4 pm then worked a midnight shift and at 7 am the next morning, I looked in the mirror and was amazed at what I saw! No creasing, shadow had began to fade but looked a million times better than it normally did and my cheap gel eye liner was still as vibrant as when I first put it on!
I work in a long term care facility so even on a midnight shift I'm still running around like a crazy person and they keep it about 82 degrees on a good day (old people get cold apparently!), so needless to say I sweat my buns off and by the end of the shift my makeup is normally melted right off, but not with this primer.
It really is magic in a bottle, will never go without this product again! I highly recommend it to any one looking for an amazing primer!
Well, we all know this product. It has been hyped by everyone and their mother. Unfortunately I can't get my hands on UD in my country and I've been lusting after this product for a while. On my trip to Nice I finally had the chance to buy this at a local sephora. I was so excited to spend my 18 bucks on this little guy. Won't say this is uber-cheap but it's definitely not going to tear a hole on your wallet. It did all that it promised to do: no more creasing, smoother eyeshadow application, intensify pigment, longer hold... I was really pleased. Until, one day the packaging just broke. This was 2 years ago so it still had the old packaging, which is well known for trouble. In my case the top broke off just beneath the screw of the lid. I was a little upset but I'd heard that people we're depotting this product which I followed to do too. Unfortunately this couldnt't be saved. It became tacky quicker than you can say "Urban Decay" and eventually dried out altogether. In the end I only got a total of about 15 uses out of this product and am sad to this day that it had such a short life. Didn't repurchase it, but I might a soon as I get the chance seeing that the packaging has changed!

Honestly, I am review 23971342 on this product... but what the hell... I'll give my two cents.
I legitimately get asked on almost a daily basis on how I get my eye shadow to stay put. I work at a vet's office, so a lot of the time I am sweating or getting drooled or anal glanded on. My eye shadow stays put....all day. I don't notice any wear until about 4-5 pm. That being said, I feel like with lighter eye shadow colors, you should take caution in the amount of product that you use. I typically apply this lashline to brow bone, but if I use too much, my highlight shades will look cakey.
My brighter colors do pop, but with certain shades... think MAC matte shades, I have just slightly more difficulty blending with my 217 than I typically do. I am grateful though for this product every goddamn day.
I have not tried TFSI or NARS primer as I have been swallowed up in the mystique of UDPP... for now, this works phenomenally.
I purchase the professional size tube so no more annoying genie bottle tube that I have to take a hacksaw to.

This is agreat eye primer. It makes the lid so smooth, sometimes I just use it on its own just because it looks so nice on the skin, and keeps it from getting super oily. The packaging is crap though. The doe foot is nice, but you can't see how much you've used and ones the doe foot doesn't reach the product anymore your done. You've wasted about 25 more application with the wasteful packaging. They do have tubes now though. I reviewed ELF primer and I think its they exact same. I said I would purchase this again, and I would if ELF didn't exist :)

UD Primer Potion helps my eyeshadows look more pigmented and it blends a little better. I will admit one thing, I don't think it makes much of a difference if you wear it or not. But maybe that's because I only wear neutral eyeshadow. Oh and I HATE the container that this stuff comes in. I thought I ran out so I cut mine in half and there was still a ton of product left inside. I think it's ridiculous that they use this kind of packaging.
I will buy this product again, but I'm buying the squeeze tube instead.
This stuff is amazing and I don't care what anyone else says, it's way better than other primers. I've used a ton of different eyeshadow primers because I spend a lot of time doing my eye makeup everyday, in JUST the right way (I always do a cat eye so I don't want that wing tip to smudge at all), and if I don't use a primer then my eyes look like a mess at the end of the day. In the past, I'd always switch from primer to primer, whatever looked good when I ran out of the previous one, cuz I figured they were all the same. Now I'm disappointed in myself that I didn't try this, the eyeshadow primer of all eyeshadow primers, sooner! The staying power really is much better than other primers out there. Sure, other primers might keep your makeup in place, but UDPP keeps your makeup in place AND keeps all the eyeshadow lines crisp and clean without feathering or bleeding at the edges. It's still sort of shocking to me to look in the mirror after I get home from work and see my eye makeup looking exactly how it did when I left in the morning. Sometimes, when I'm lazy, I'll just wash my face but not wash off my eye makeup and just kind of trace over it the next morning... like apply the same eyeshadow and trace over the remaining eyeliner, and the makeup STILL stays in place pretty well from the leftover UDPP. Not as well as starting with a clean slate, obviously, but still. Another thing I love about UDPP is the texture and consistency of the primer. It's thick enough to feel like it's going to stay where it is, but still smooth going on. I've tried some primers that are very watery and I always feel like they're not going to work because they're so thin and slippery/oily feeling (they DO work, but I just don't like that slippery consistency). The only thing I don't like about the UDPP is the packaging... sorry, I just think it's a bit tacky looking and over the top. I wish the tube was more refined and sophisticated looking, but that's just the UD brand image I suppose. Anyway, if you're looking for a new eyeshadow primer, or even if you're NOT, I'd say definitely give this stuff a try and I think you'll be impressed. One day I'm going to test it out and do one eye with a different primer and the other eye with UDPP and see how it looks at the end of the day. If I do, I'll update here and let you know what I find. :D
Good primer for eyes, and prevents creasing very well. I personally don't think it's worth the price, and prefer using my e.l.f. eyelid primer that is only a few dollars. It works just as well. The packaging of this product is awful, and I wish I would have gotten the newer packaging. For paying so much money for a product and not being able to use it all is disappointing. I wouldn't repurchase this product again, due to price and its very similar to one that is only a few dollars.
i love this product i have no idea why i took so long to purchase it i stopped doing my eyeshadow for a while because i noticed it would crease and look discussing. after purchasing the udpp i decided to test it out one day that i was just going to stay home when it was time to wash my face at night i was shocked to see my eyeshadow still looked as good and fresh as when i first applied it! i will deff be repurchasing this once i run out... totally worth the 20 bucks
