I am on and off with this product. I will buy it sometimes when I run out, but not all the time. I will probably start to buy it more, because it really does work for me. It does burn when applicated, and does dry out the skin (pimple) and will make it crackly. But you can usually peel that off, gross as it sounds. It says to use it once a day, but I use it more. I do find it to be very affective. For the price and everything, I would say its worth the buy. And if you don't like it, its not to much of a loss of money.
This is a little miracle worker. I am not usually acne-prone, but every once in awhile I have an unpleasant visitor due to stress or simply because of a blackhead extraction gone awry. This spot treatment works wonders and where ever applied, that pimple is sure to be gone by the next morning.
I like to apply this to freshly steamed and washed skin, which I think allows the product to work more effectively and efficiantly as your pores are open. Again, this is only used on the infected area and as the name suggest is a spot treatment and not for all-over use.
As far as I'm concerned this is no miracle product for treating breakouts. They just take time to heal on their own. This spot treatment does work, just not as quickly as their claims. It might reduce the size and redness of pimples in a short time a slight bit, but not dramatically. I had a pimple in the beginning stages of emerging on my cheek, and after a few days and nights of applying this product it never did come to the surface, essentially stopping it in its tracks and beginning to dry it out. After that it was up to my body how fast the blemish would heal. I think this treatment would be more effective on smaller pimples rather than large, nasty ones. I find the scent to be quite pleasant and not overpowering, and the consistency a smooth gel which goes on and dries completely clear. I have fairly sensitive, combination skin and this is one of the only spot treatments that doesn't dry out my skin. I also use C&C Persa-Gel 5 from time to time and I find that to be almost excessively drying, with my skin peeling and flaking sometimes after just one application. This treatment I can wear under concealer with no evidence that I'm even wearing it. I have no gripes about the packaging but I do find it to be a tad expensive. I purchased mine for $10 at Zellers in Canada. Unless some new product comes out which blows this one away in terms of performance I will repurchase.
This stuff works great for me. Every month I get a whitehead (LOL guess why) and this helps greatly in diminishing the size and duration of the breakout. It is strong, I have overused it (applied too much & too often) and made my skin flake. But that was my fault.
Recently I loaned it to my Mom for her to treat a pimple and she reported it worked overnight.
This cleared my skin (I diluted it slightly with water) but the scent is very heavy. It caused me to have horrible allergy problems: watery eyes, sneezing, and coughing. If they made an unscented version, I'd buy it.
The small metal tube sometimes made it difficult to get a small amount out...I'd end up with far more than I needed.
This use to work miracles on my skin a while back but lately its just not doing its job. I used this recently when I started breaking out due to stress. I just put a tiny dot on the problem areas and the next morning they were imflamed and were left with flaky dry patches. I am still trying to get rid of one of the red patches with no success. I do not reconmend this to others with dry or sensitive skin and I will not be purchasing again.
I've been using this treatment since high school, and honestly I can't really tell you why. I find it rather ineffective, and the wild claim that 100% of test subjects showed clearer skin turns me off a little. Nothing is ever 100%, it's a statistically inaccurate and shows that C&C is pretty dishonest in their trial runs, maybe a double blind study would've been more accurate and helpful- but that isn't the point, the point is that products with wildly inaccurate and impossible claims like "this product will make your passed gas smell like wildflowers" or "In one day, 5 billion percent of people lost 10 lbs when using this product". Lying with supposed statistics to me is like slapping a banner on your product that says "Made for Stupid People" or "Defective, DO not BUY".
This product "works" by drying out the skin on the affected area, leaving an unpleasant crust where the pimple once (and probably still) is. Eventually, it will dry it into disappearance. But certainly not in one day and not on its own.
Now you probably wonder why my review is negative but I have been using this since high school? The tube has literally lasted me 5 years. Time to review and throw it out. Will not repurchase.
Before i purchased this product i read reviews and so far based on these reviews it summarized that this product really worked. Since i have breakout due to my mac studio fix foundation i decided to try it after trying so many things. I was even preparing my self for that sting everyone was talking about. First of all it only stung for a 1sec. And it did not diminish the size of the pimples overnight. All it does is just sit there on your skin. So im so disappointed in this product since a lot of clean and clear products are amazing.
Hm, when I bought this I had the impression it was going to be a miracle product. I think it does help get rid of occasional spots, but no faster than naturally. It stings a bit if the pimple is open, so I think that means it is working. It covers the pimple in a clean, shiny substance, making it easy to apply makeup over top. I do warn you though; due to the level of salicylic acid (2%) this treatment is EXTREMELY drying, which will lead to ich, which will lead to spreading bacteria. When I bought the little tube it was only half full, and I bought it for about 10 dollars. I don't recommend this product.
