I really like this. I need concealer to cover up pimples, or the marks that they leave behind. Had previously been using a Maybelline one that was "lipstick-shaped" and was more difficult to apply precisely to small areas. Love the Almay doe-foot applicator...can use it to apply TINY little dots of the concealer and then use my finger to blend. I also like that it has salicylic acid in it as, sadly, my skin needs all the help it can get.
This definitely does the job. I like that it has medication in it to heal the blemish as well.
i bought it cause it said that there is acilisic acid , and i know its good for acne , i tried it to my day for go to school , and it cover well in the morning , but at the dinner , it starts to disappears , and at 4 pm , there nothing left . wont buy it again !!
I suffer from constant breakouts, so heavy amounts of concealer is a daily necessity for me, and I end up going through a lot of the stuff. Luckily Almay -- regular-old-drugstore-brand-Almay -- has a concealer that works as well as any of the high-end stuff I've tried.
This concealer is a thick, creamy liquid that comes in a tube with a long doe-foot applicator, which I really like. I normally dab a bit on my blemishes, and then blend it a bit with my hand. Honestly, Light (100) is pretty close to my skin tone, and if my skin were a bit clearer, I could probably just blend the concealer and go without foundation. I'd say that this concealer offers medium-heavy coverage -- it does a decent job of covering most of my blemishes, but it's not perfect.
Does is actually heal blemishes? For me, no, but to be fair, the packaging does say that the product is for "uncomplicated acne." I'm guessing mine is more on the "complicated" side, as it does contain salicylic acid, which is used for the treatment of acne. Regardless, it provides enough coverage that I can slap some foundation on and go out of the house looking halfway normal, so I'm not complaining. I've been buying buying this concealer for years, and will probably continue doing so until the next miracle product appears.
I really like this concealor, and have for quite a while. I love the nice powdery finish and overall texture of it. It also seems to have a really nice brightening quality to it without having a hint of shimmer. My only issues with it are that there isn't much shade variety (which luckily for me, the "light" one matches me almost perfectly) and it's not full coverage. I think the coverage is great for most people, in fact, for my minor flaws it's pretty darn good, but my skin is pretty disgusting, so it just doesn't quite get the job done for me. If you have skin as bad as mine, I'd only recommend this for areas of skin that aren't that bad or undereye circles.
love it. works well for my under eye circles and for some scars i have. stays on for a long time and its deff worth buying again.
This is overall a very good concealer but make sure to spritz your face with water before applying or it could look drying and cakey.
I use this concealer almost every day for blemishes. If your skin isn't too bad it looks great by itself, no foundation needed. It blends very well and looks natural. The only thing I don't like is that it doesn't always cover the redness and scarring enough. As for the ''healing'' part I think it does actually work. I will most definitely continue using this for a while.
This concealer does work well over the clear complexion foundation, and is very easy to blend. The only problem is the color selection, not the best, but if it matches your skin, you're lucky. It doesn't look as great if I put it on my bare skin due to the fact that it's not an exact color match, so I use it mostly over foundation. It does not break me out at all, so I will continue to use it. Also, if it came in a squeeze tube, it would be more hygienic for breakout prone skin. I know this has salicylic acid in it, but I still use it as an under eye concealer because it works great for that too.
This concealer is just what I was looking for! I was in the market and even though I usually have better luck with high end concealers, I needed something soon to cover some blemishes. My current concealer is great for under eyes but way to emollient for blemishes. I have a rocky past with Almay concealers so I wasn't sure how this would do. To my surprise, this works wonderful on blemishes, redness and I can get away with putting this under my eyes (when I'm lazy). I wouldn't advise dry skin people to use this under the eyes because this is drying. I was impressed by the coverage. Two layers and my skin looked flawless. I love the fact that this also has medication in it to actually heal while concealing. I was very lucky finding a nice shade (light/medium) which is neutral. The packaging is very nice as well (slim tube with a doe foot applicator). Price wise, I was a little surprised to see Almay up in the ten dollar range. LOL, I remember Almay being around five dollars back in the day! I would highly recommend this.
