I never, ever write reviews but I felt this product deserved one..I have been using it for years and will never use anything else..I have very dry skin and it is the only lotion that makes me feel soft and smooth..it is the best and worth every penny if you suffer from dry skin like I do.
I really like the Kiehls product philosophy as well as the great brand identity they have, however I just cannot get on board with the packaging. It is neither nostalagic or modern and I find some of the containers quite hard to use.
The body lotion itself is lovely and thick, but I found it took a while to absorb into my arms. I also have quite dry upper arms and it did not make them feel soothed or very moisturised. I did love the smell though!
I love this product, it is my HG of winter body moisturizers. It makes my skin baby soft and smooth, no negative skin reactions, and a lovely mild smell. I even like the simple packaging! I can't say enough about it. I buy it in bulk to save money, as I know it is an expensive product, but to me it is worth every penny. Can't say I love all Kiehl's products, but this one is definitely tops
It's not bad, it's just ridiculously overpriced. And though I know it's supposed to be a heavy-duty moisturizer, it's really, really oily and isn't well absorbed even after some time. It doesn't deserve the hype.
The good is that this lotion is thick and quite rich. It doesn't absorb well into my skin dry, but I use it just after showering when my skin is still wet and then it works beautifully. The smell is innocuous, which is also great if you like perfume, and it's all in all a very nice product. But, truth be told, at the end of the day lotion is...lotion. There are ten zillion brands and types out there and I find it inconceivable that however nice this one is, that you couldn't find one as serviceable (or better) for the price. Or less, even, since this one is almost $30 for an 8 oz. bottle. Bottom line is, I wouldn't shell out myself, but I'll gladly accept gifts.
Not sure if this lotion was supposed to go on my face, but I did it anyway and haven't turned into an ugly frog or anything yet. Must say, this is quite nice, considering I just spent a butt load on La Mer and this stuff works almost twice as hard. The air at my office makes my skin turn into death valley by days end. This lotion has me looking in the mirror without becoming too squirmish at my reflection. Good job.
Sorry to spoil the good ratings here..but this is very average product with a hefty price tag..The consitency reminds me of SHIKAI body lotion. which is awesome without the pricey tag..I have super duper dry skin and this does nothing for me.Its a good thing they give out samples at kiehls..will totally pass on this product.
Great for very dry skin. I generally only use it in the winter, switching to DML lotion, which is lighter, in the summer. I use it on my whole body except feet, where I like a heavier cream, as they are quite dry and corn prone. Any scent evaporates on contact as near as I can tell. It penetrates by the time I am ready to dress. I think it is a bit overpriced for the ingredients that are in it, which is why I only gave it a 4. But, until I find an unscented lotion that works better, I will continue to use this.
I cannot even begin to describe how much I love this product, it is just that good. I have tried so many lotions over the years, and none of them have ever impressed me, until I found this baby. I have normal, NC30-35 skin, that is not dry, rather dehydrated, and I have been searching for a miracle cream that would transform my skin in to supple silk, and this is it ladies and gentleman. I tend to wear a lot of skirts and dresses, as my legs are one of my best features, and this makes my skin supermodel glowy, and most importantly, it stays that way. I apply this all over my body every night before bed, and I wake up to the smoothest, softest skin ever, which makes my nauturally light olive skin just glow with health. This is definately worth the money to me, and it will continue to be a staple of mine, as I don't think that you can put a price on good skin :)
