I struggled with this back before I learned how to properly fill in my brows. I feel the colored wax/colored powder is just too much pigment for brows. Your eyebrows should accent your face, they should NOT be the first thing someone notices when you walk by! If you really want to try a wax/powder duo, I would recommend trying Smashbox Brow Tech first. I am one that requires more control and hold than a brow pencil can give. I also like the polished look of adding a little color, so a simple clear wax or brow gel doesn't cut it. I've settled on Bourjois Sourcil Animation. Easy, one-step approach to brow control. But I truly feel that BeneFit Brow-Zing is too much for daily use. I HAVE used this on stage during performances...but having stage makeup on is totally different than my daily look!!! If you are a performer, give this a whirl...otherwise, stick to something more natural looking :)
My HG for my brows...and $28 isn't much since it lasts for a year or so...just wish the brushes were alot stiffer and the wax was thicker..other than that, it beats drawn in eyebrows!!
I never paid too much attention to my brows until I got this product....just a bit of combing and tinted gel. I went to the makeup counter to purchase Benefit's "Speed Brow" gel, and while I was there the assisant showed me this product. At first I was hesitant because of the price, but I'm so glad I was sold!
This stuff is great! I hate using pencils on my brows, so this is a nice compromise between that and using brow gel alone. It gives my unruly and sparse eyebrows just the right amount of 'oomph' that they need, and it looks extremely natural. It is very easy to apply (use your own full sized brush) and you only use a small hint of product so I know it will last a long while. I have very dark brown hair (almost black) and the wax is the perfect color, but the brown shadow could be a little darker. It would be great if the wax could be purchased alone. Oh yeah, and the tweezers work just fine! They're no Tweezermans of course, but they are great for on-the-go. I don't have any problems opening the compact either!
I absolutely love this product. It makes a real difference in the way my brow looks. I don't have very thin brows but I would like them to look thicker. I used to use the brushes that came with the product but I don't anymore. I find that a hard bristle brush works much better. What I do now is combine the wax and the powder. I dip it into the wax first then the powder than put it on my eyebrows. Makes a big difference.
Okay, to be fair I have very full brows and usually just need a slick of brow gel and I'm good to go. However, occasionally I like to use tinted wax or gel to fill them in so I bought this. To me it seems pretty useless. It comes with extremely cheap and flimsy tools--tweezers and a little brush--and a colored powder and a hard wax. Each time I used it my brows just looked unnatural and I really dislike the consistency of the wax. I'll just stick with my Anastasia gel.
I've tried many brow pencils and wax products. This one is the best. I hardly every buy products twice and I did with this one. The product lasts forever, I bought one at the beginning of college in 2005 and bought a second one a few months ago, it lasted 2 years and I used a good amount of product everyday. I really like the consistency and color and it hardly ever smudges!
I've tried many brow products and eventually still come back to this one. It's great! Easy to use and when you are done, the brows are made up and yet still looks natural. I started using it when the product 1st came out and am still using it now even though they've revamped the original packaging. It's a must-have in your makeup bag! Foolproof! There's no risk of overapplying the product and it has great staying power too.
I use this everyday without fail. I just look weird without nicely defined brows. This stuff is great. Easy to use and plenty of pigment. I love the little brushes that make application easy. My brows stays nicely defined all day until I wash it off and cleanse last thing. What more could I ask except if it could be a bit cheaper. It seems to last for ever though : )
it's not hg material but i like it a lot :) the brow wax is great and the powder looks very natural. i love the angle brush but the other one is pretty useless.
the wax keeps my brows in place. i have black hair and brows and the hairs tend to get long and sometimes even curled. the powder is really great for when i go a little tweezer crazy. the ends of my brows are a little uneven (thick in some places and sparse in others) so it really helps me to define my archi may rebuy but i think that i'll try brow gel in a mascara type tube first, because i find that i need something to keep the hairs in place more than i need colour continued >>
I liked Brow Zing, but found another brow kit (Tarte) that I prefer. The one downside to Brow Zing is the pair of tweezers--I found them utterly useless.
