i bought this product for a daily scrub like it said. its very watery almost and the granuales are so tiny it hardly scrubs ur face. anyway it made my skin dry and flacky and no skin benifits like a reduction in acne or glowyness none.
After trying a lot of LUSH face products, I went to the drugstore looking around and for some reason I went towards Aveeno. I saw this and it appealed to me, maybe because of the soy in it, it gave me a safe feeling?? Anyway, my skin for the past two years have given me a lot of trouble. I'm 22 and now I hit puberty apparently. I was having severe problems with having horribly oily skin, all over my face. On my forehead I have these dry bumps, not pimples or acne, just dry bumps. This has finally helped me. It hasn't cured my skin BUT my skin has improved so much. I do not use this everyday, I never use scrubs everyday. I tend to use it every other day. Bonus, it smells so nice :)
Not bad for a drugstore scrub. Medium sized granules - can be a bit "scratchy" so probably not great for the very sensitive skin folks. Mid-priced and a good sized tube.
This product is gentle but not for daily use. It did brighten my skin, but after a week or two of using it everyday, I noticed that the apples of my cheeks and my nose started turning red, probably from over exfoliating with this product. Great product, inexpensive, but don't use it everyday.
FYI: I have normal/combination skin, prone to clogged pores, but no acne just blackheads on my nose (sigh...)
I'll be trying the Thayers Rose Petal Witch Hazel Toner and Desert Essence Jojoba Oil to see if that gets rid of my blackheads, since I read in the MUA reviews that it did that for some of the other reviewers.
While this daily scrub is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic (won't break you out), I don't like the fact that it doesn't lather (make bubbles). What I do like about this product is how fine the scrubbing beads are-they're so tiny and get into every crevice, ridding my skin of dirt, oil, and makeup! The fineness of the beads also mean that it's less irritating and more gentle on the skin. It does even out skin tone a little and definitely gets rid of dead skin. I'd recommend this to anyone who is looking for a gentle, everyday scrub.
Good product. Wanted to see if this would actually brighten AND even out my skin.. did both actually! First day I tried this my skin felt much smoother. Within a week I did notice that my face was evening out to a more olive complexion all over.. not just olive here, medium here, light there, etc. I've been using this since late June and have to say that you need to use it for at least a month before you see visible results that you'd be happy with. The only downside is if you're JUST washing your face, you gotta make sure its ALL off or you'll find yourself coming across little scrubs when you put on your moisturizer. I find it best to use in the shower. Would definitely buy again!
I remember this as one of the first scrubs I've ever tried and I would repurchase this again. It smells fresh, foams up just right, and the exfoliating beads aren't too abrasive. It does brighten --but then so does any other scrub. Overall, does its job.
I thought I liked this scrub at first, but looking back it didn't do much.
I normally just clean my face with a toner, which i was trying to change the routine up a little since the toner was harsh but my face is sensitive so i can't really use any soap or anything like that or it breaks it out.
I've been using this product for a week and can see a difference. I never have used scrubs routinely on my face - but the tiny grains in the container are not harsh on your face and when you rub them in you aren't sure if they are doing anything at all because they are so fine - but after you rinse you can see the difference and your face feels really healthy and soft.
This is a great scrub. It has a very fine texture and a nice smell. It is gentle and does not irritate my fair/sensitive skin but, it works well enough that I only need to use it a few times a week.
