I really liked this product when I first began using it. It made my face feel soft after I used it. However, after using it for a couple of weeks, I realized that my face was drier and rougher than it had been when I first started using it. After I stopped using it for about a week and continued the same face washing/moisturizing regimen, I noticed that my skin had more soft and less dry. I think it works as a great makeup base, so I'd probably repurchase it for that reason.
I tried, I truly tried to like this product. I'm at the point where I need anti-aging. Regenerist won't be the one for me. Used it on my face, I broke out. Used it on my neck, I broke out. Never wanting to waste good money, I used it on my chest...you guessed it, my chest broke out. I am not prone to breakouts except from product sensitivity. Back to the drawing board...
I've been using this for nearly 2 months, and I only use it in the morning under my moisturiser, and as mentioned by others, it really feels like silicone.
I don't think I'll be buying it again because I didn't see any improvements on my skin, and having combo skin, I find that it does not provide enough moisturising for my needs.
I gave this a three for a few reasons.
I don't have wrinkles, and they're never going to come :O haha let's hope.
But my mother bought this as a clearance item for $3 and I've been using it in the morning under my moisturizer or as a primer for my makeup. It's smooth and velvety and soaks in quickly, also very moisturizing.
I gave it a three though because I'm not too sure what it does, if anything haha. I used it once before and I broke out, but it may have been from another product I was using. But I am using it again, and have noticed my skin's natural complexion improving significantly. But again, I'm not sure if it is from this or another product.
It is nice, and I enjoy it, but I wouldn't spend the regular retail of $20 for it.
I've had this product for awhile, but I never finished it. The application is truly wierd when I first tried it. It is not really like any other skincare I've used, it is velvety and maybe has silicone(?) in it. Afterwards I started using some makeup primer, like DHC velvet skin coat, and it is just like "Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum"! On the other hand, the smell is just too perfumy for me to use as skincare. I have not really compared the actual improvement in skin texture. So...no I won't be purchasing this item again. I like my skincare to feel like it will really absorb...just my own preference.
I really think this product is awesome in the sense that it's light, smells great, and makes ur skin soft -
but it gives me break outs on my chin - too bad...
I use Paula's Choice and it worked out great so far, but if you don't have sensitive skin and are not prone to acne this product is great to try...
Would I buy this product again? Yes - over and over again! I have been using this serum for several years now. I love the texture - nice and light - not too greasy for a serum. My skin drinks it right up. I love the pump dispenser. It's easy to get just the right amount every time and the dispenser never clogs up. The fragrance is pleasant - again nice and light - and it doesn't linger. I've used other serums - Paula's Choice (I forget which formulation) which was too greasy and Kirkland's Signature Borghese which had too strong a fragrance and was a little irritating to the skin. Regenerist is my absolute favorite. Costco carries it and occasionally offers coupons which make it a terrific deal.
I have tried and stopped using this product a number of times as it breaks me out after a few days of use in each occasion.
It gave my face a nice soft finish but for some unknown reason, I had no trouble in using it continously for the past three months. Yet in the last couple of weeks, I started getting pimples and really irritated skin with itchy patches on my cheeks and jaw line. After I've stopped using it again for three days, all the symtoms are gone. What can I say, I don't think it is worth risking my skin with this product again.
[EDIT: I don't use this product anymore. It was not doing anything for me after all when last winter my skin broke out in the worst atopic dermatitis I have ever had. I am using Paula's Choice Skin Recovery Antioxidant Serum with much better results.] I am extremely shocked at the re-purchasing percentage for this serum. This is the best product of the Olay Regenerist line, IMO. The texture is light and one pump is enough to cover my whole face. It's inexpensive compared to most serums and the packaging is great. It's full of antioxidants and niacinamide. I have tried a couple of serums before but nothing has felt so soft and given me results. Seriously, using a moisturizer alone was not cutting it. I have very dry eczema-prone skin (I have to be meticulous to keep it at bay), and I'm sure this serum has aided in keeping my facial eczema away for two winters so far and through the changes in season. It seems to allow my skin to hold moisture and maintain an even tone more easily. I will re-purchase this as long as they keep making it. Oh! And I got 3.4 oz from Costco for less than $30! (Usually 1.7, might be 1.4, don't remember now, cost a little under $20. Good deal at Costco!!) I use the fragrance free serum.
This is nice in really cold, dry weather but there are no regenerating effects. Dimethicone only gives a temporary barrier effect and for the price it is not a good value.
