I know why almost 80% of the reviewers LOVE this cream - IT ROCKS!
It's a very rich cream (hence the term "butter"), that moisturizes the dryest of skin and is perfect for the winter. The scent is not offensive at all and while not exactly like guava, it's very reminiscent of it. I'm not crazy about the pump dispenser as I feel it leaves excess cream I can't get to, but I've been using this for a couple years now and this won't stop me from using it!
I like this body butter. It has a rich and creamy feel, yet it absorbs well and moisturises for a long time.
I love the smell - it is fruity and tropical and rich, in a subtle way. It isn't too strong or weak, and it wears well, without being cloying.
It comes in either a pump bottle or a small, travel size tube, which is great. Apparently it comes in a jumbo size, but i have never been able to buy it as it is always "unavailable"
Got this as a gratis (to go size) and I have to say I'm impressed.
I have dry skin and usually I can tell whether or not a moisturizer works by scratching a section of my forearm in the morning to see whether or not it leaves that dry white mark.
Glad to say, this stuff works wonders. I did the scratch arm test and it didn't leave a white scratch mark. It doesn't smell bad either, but it just doesn't smell like guava. Smells more like almonds (one of the main ingredients) and coconuts mixed together.
Tested it again the next day with no re-application after a HOT shower. White scratch mark test? Passed with flying colors.
Great part is that it has a lot of Vitamin C and that the fifth ingredient is sunflower oil. Hydration to the max!
The 5.07 oz version is $21 at Sephora, which is not extremely pricey, but still more than I would like to pay. If you don't mind the price, Korres Guava Body Butter does the job well.
Huh, well I hate to ruin the party here but I am NOT a fan of this lotion. It smells nothing like guava, rather, it has a cloying, stale, perfumy smell. smells vaguely of olive oil, or sun lotion, or fig, or maybe some mixture of the three. It is hard to rub in. It dies an OK job with moisturizing but for the price there are way better products out there. For example, Bliss naked body butter is way silkier, sinks in nicely and doesn't stink. even gold bond healing lotion is better than this. glad i only got the small tube. up for swap it goes.
I bought the smaller version of this - I absolutely love it. It smells nice, it sinks into my skin well and makes it feel soft. Downside? It's goes on a little shiny at first and it's more costly than what I like to spend. Having said that, I'll definitely repurchase when I'm in the mood to spoil myself.
*PIC* Oh man, this is the best! I use this all over my body and my skin has never looked better. It hydrates the skin amazingly and leaves skin soooooo soft. I particularly like the fact that even though it does the above, it doesn't leave skin shiny or greasy looking, but matte and silky soft. A little also goes a long way. Retails here for 9.20 euros and is 150ml. I also adoreeee the light "beachy" scent which also lingers for hours. (yay) Will definitely re-purchase over and over, hands down one of the best body thingies out there for one's skin.
Not only would I buy this product again-I've actually bought it over and over again. I LOVE this soooo much! I got a small sample from Sephora and from that day forward I was hooked. It smells so good and it feels so rich going on...yummy. I love wearing it just on it's own no other perfume needed. The scent alone is worth buying this product. I wear it all year round and never tire of it. I highly recommend this to everyone. I really know you wont go wrong w/this baby. I even carry the small travel size in my purse so I'm never w/out it.
I really enjoy using this product- some might find this particular lotion too greasy for their taste- but I find it is just what my parched skin needs.
I can even use this "all natural" product (which is intended for use on your body) on my face and I've sensitive skin.
I've even used this stuff in my hair.
The only drawback about the Korres line of product is the price- an 8-10 oz bottle of the Korres Body Butter costs 20 dollars- about twice what I would pay for a drugstore brand.
You can find Korres at Sephora and Whole Foods.
I love this stuff so much! It smells heavenly to me...guava with something else tropical that i can't pinpoint. I love tropical smells. it is thick but absorbs well and lasts long. I use this sometimes with the fig body wash...i love everything i have tried from Korres!
This is a lovely cream -- thick and moisturizing, but it sinks right in and leaves my skin soft, not greasy at all. It has a light fruity scent, but is not strongly scented, which is a good thing for me. I will definitely repurchase.
