Queen Helene was an accidental find on my part, just looking for a face mask that would'nt break my bank and I found- and here is the amazing part- exactly what I wanted! For me, that's a big deal...this mask is my HG and has been for about 20 years (yeesh, time flies). It is an awesome product, no need to look any further or spend more. The minty smell is a bonus, although I do detect something else (sulpher?) but nothing that is so grotesque you won't be able to deal with it.
It spreads on nice and thick, but not too thick. It is the ideal consistency, especially if you, like me, have nose-blackheads and on occasion just want a spot application. This is where it really shines- in its versatality. Most masks require a full face, but this can be used all over or just in problem areas. I started using this is in my 20's and I am almost 48. I do believe in product loyalty but if it weren't good a change would have occurred a long time ago. To recap: 1. Great price and amount.
2. Lasts forever. 3. Makes skin look and feel clean. 4. Delivers on every key element a good beauty product should.
Before you spend a ton of money on Origins or any department store over-charged facial mask, try this mask. Love Queen Helene!!!

Let me preface my very positive review by saying that this is not some miracle cure-- at least, it wasn't for me. I have very tempermental acne-prone skin, which is alternatively VERY dry, and then (to make up for it) VERY oily. I was looking for a refreshing face mask that wouldn't just smell good, but would actually make a visible difference on my face. The few that have done this before is a French mud mask made by Agiletz, and then Biore's warming mask, back when they still made it (do they still?). Anyway, all of the others, and believe me, I have tried some expensive ones, basically just smelled good and made me feel like I was pampering myself, but then didn't show a difference.
Anyway, this one will dry out your skin. However, that is what it is supposed to do! I noticed that the first time I used it, my skin became visibly brighter, just a bit. I had to scrub a lot to wash it off, and because I prefer not to irritate my skin, i put it on at night so I don't really care whether all of it comes off or not.
I'm also on Retin A, and use this to kind of "prep" my skin, get all the oils off, etc., so that Retin A can work more effectively. In short, it worked for me! I hope it does for you too!
This product smells great and provides you with a truly refreshing feeling. It is really messy to apply, and you have to scrub good to get the mask totally off. You can’t beat the price for this mask; however, I haven’t noticed any improvements in my breakouts; more so just gives you a clean feeling. I like to follow up with a mild acne cleanser for best results.

This is one of the masks I always come back to. It's affordable, smells minty, and really helps out my acne prone skin. A few years ago I started using it once or twice a week after steaming my face and wow, did it make a difference! My skin started to clear up and there were less bumps on my face. These days my skin is usually under control, but whenever I do get an occasional pimple or feel one starting to form, I just dab a little of this mask on like a spot treatment and leave it on overnight. It really helps to speed up the recovery of my skin.

This is an okay product, but nothing amazing. I like the smell, but it really did nothing for my skin. When I washed it off, which took a lot of effort believe it or not, it left my skin feeling weird and dry. Plus, in the winter it's too drying, even for my oily skin!

I wouldn't recommend this if you have even the slightest sensitive skin. It burns like crazy. It tightens pores well, but I could only use it once because of the burn.

Let me start with the cons (but I really don't consider them cons, just stuff you might need to know before you make your purchase).
1. This is a masque, not a peel. That mean's it's not going to come off as easily and if you have big bear hands with dragon nails and can't see without your glasses you will make a mess everywhere.
2. Do not get into eyes, it will burn. Do not get into nose, it will burn. If you have bad acne and open sores, you will pass out from the pain (from what I heard). Yes, it does give me a burning sensation, but it dulls after it dries.
Pros: It's cheap and it works. Don't freak out when you wash your face and see all the impurities that were down in your pores just sitting up on your face in nice little white piles. Like I said this is not a peel so they will not come off when you remove the masque. Be sure to follow up with a good acne scrub.

Having tried everything from Clinique's 3 step acne soultions up to a prescription brand, this little $4 tube of magic has made the biggest improvement in my skin.
When applying, you don't need a lot. Just enough to get a green look to your skin. Let it dry for 15 min to half an hour, then rinse off and pat dry. Voila! I saw better skin within ONE USE! My acne is finally beginning to clear, and I have this wonderfully cheap product to thank.
Probably the best part is that it hasn't irritated my skin at all! With most acne regimens, my skin will purge and look horrifying. Not with this. It just helps clear up my acne, no reaction at all.
One side note, it also claims to help shrink pore size, but I haven't noticed that. Oh well. Definetly no deal breaker. This product is just too fantastic!

this is an amazing product!!!! been using it almost everyday for 3 weeks now the tube lasts such a long time. i usually wear this right after showering and it makes your skin feel amazing. didn't use this product for 3 days and started breaking out again. :/ definitely recommend this product. oh also i have oily skin and really large visible pores and it did minimize my pores appearance
This product it great! I've been using it for a little over 6 months. I have repurchased time and time again. I use it as a spot treatment and I really do see a difference - especially when I leave it on overnight. I suffer from breakouts every now and then (as do all women *sad face*) and this is a product that I can rely on when I'm in need of a quick fix. BEWARE- if you pick at a zit and place this on the open wound- it will burn and create a scab. ALSO- if you leave it on overnight; it will crumble off onto your pillow and your sheets and can be a messy pain. But if you can get past all of that, it's WONDERFUL!
