I love it as a finishing powder over my supfit liquid foundation. The salesperson told me a trick that works great. Put the powder in your hand and rub until warm and then tap on your skin. It really helps to control my oily t-zone.
i luv all clinique products (ima clinique grly!) and this is no exception...its very good powder and i sometimes just put it on my bare face and it works great....pretty good coverage for being translucent..and best of all it doesnt break me out!
Great powder. Semi good staying power, but I dont like a lot of heavy m.u. anyways, I just use this with the sheer moisture tint and thats all. My skin feels SOOOOOO soft after using the DDML, and then this powder. OMG. really, it feels that good. I saw in another review that someone said it made their skin feel soft, and didnt know how a powder would really do that, but it does!! Great stuff!!!
Like so many women, I used this product for quite some time, and even went back to it more than once, as it seemed "advanced" for its days. But, upon re-trying this recently, I came to realize that it accentuates pores (even though Clinique claims that it "makes pores seem to disappear"), and its shine control disappeared almost as soon as I left the house. But typical of Clinique, they feel that many of their products are "classics," and they make no attempt to improve and modernize them. They obviously think so highly of this Blended Face Powder formula that it appears they merely repackage it for the parent company's Good Skin line at Kohl's (at least to my testing judgment). As others here have pointed out, it's good that so many other brands are available now, offering far better powders than this. Too bad Clinique/EL doesn't recognize the same.
love this product! absorbs oil reaaaaally well! right before i leave my house, i dust some on over my MAC studio fix powder foundation. i will definitely repurchase! i'm almost out, so i'll probably buy some at the end of this month. it cost me about $18 and it comes with a little brush. i don't use the brush though, i use Clinique's powder brush. This product lasted me a really long time. bought it sometime last year. maybe near the end of summer. it really is translucent!
my sister just had her debutante ball and i did her entourage's makeup. it kept the girls oil free. i even dusted some powder on the guys. made their faces look real smooth. i have transparency 4 and used that on all of them. btw, we are not all the same color. 8 girls and 9 guys. my sister had her mu done by a professional. everyone's face looked great :]
only problem is that i'm a clutz :[ i have to be careful not to spill my loose powder all over myself and the floor.
I use baremineral with this clinique blended face powder. First i applied sun screen and moisturizer to my face and then I put on the Bare mineral veil. (If you want matte powder, then get a mineral veil. That one is the best for matte but it doesn't hold my make up. It is easily erased.) After mineral veil, I use BE foundation and I use this clinique powder. Although this powser is not making me really MATTE it does hold my make up! and it is light, too.
BUT I DON'T LIKE THE BRUSH.......It is really harsh so I use body shop face and body brush.
I bought this today in Transparency Neutral (08) and am quite happy with it overall! I really like the pretty, floral box it comes in. I paid £17 for it and was a bit upset when I found out just now that it only costs 17 US Dollars on the net!!! =(((((( Doesn't matter........ I know where to get it next time! I applied this powder with my own face powder brush (the one Clinique packs in with the powder is ridiculously small... I now put it in my makeup bag for applying blushes when I don't wanna carry my full size blush brush around) and was pleased with the result. It gives a matte, smooth finish that isn't chalky or obvious. It doesn't control shine very well AT ALL but with oily skin like mine I really wouldn't expect much!! The shade is a truly neutral, transparent colour that doesn't alter the shade of my foundation (today I used Estee Lauder's Maximum Coverage). I think on the whole it adds a good finishing touch to your foundation/concealer and the powder itself is fairly fine, although there are more finely-milled powders out there. It's good for its price but I'm prepared to experiment with other loose powders out there. Won't repurchase.
i love this. make my face less oilier and does the job of covering scars and blemishes. totally recommend.

I used for a long time Guerlain and No7, but after I tried this one in transparency 2, which is a great shade for my very pale, cool coloured winter-type skin.
I use this powder sometimes on just a moisturizer and it covers nicely (like a mineral powder foundation) but it's not too heavy. A pot lasts forever so this one is a bargain (although Clinique is more expensive in Europe than in the US).
I will repurchase!
I seem to come back to this powder every few years. It provides a matte coverage over foundation. I do reapply or blot the oil about midday. But that's my oily skin, not the powder. I don't really expect a powder to keep MY oily skin matte all day long. The price of this powder is affordable and I like that the package has a screw lid. A container lasts a very long time, even with daily use.
