this product is amazing !! it covers as if its a whole new skin !! the only problems i had was that my skin was already oily therefor i needed to use a good primer but thats a given. this had very good pigment to it and did not break me out or clog my pores , it was a little to hydrating there for not so good for oily skin . but other than that this is the best "yellow" based foundation ive found.

I'm actually really into this foundation. The texture reminds me of the discontinued NARS Balancing foundation. It comes out of the pump a bit quickly, which is my only complaint about the bottle. I'm NW15 and use Ivory. I find it makes my face dewy, and since I'm oily I don't like to be dewy everywhere so I cover my oilier areas with MAC Blot Powder after applying the foundation. I don't need a highlighter on my cheekbones since I find the dewiness is enough. It also doesn't break me out (hasn't yet, been using it for over a week now), which is a plus! The coverage is medium-buildable.

I purchased this foundation in the shade "I'm so money" Honey. This shade was a perfect match to my skin-tone but it oxidized pretty quick (got dark). The colors run very yellow, almost orange so watch out for that! I will not be repurchasing because of the oxidization but other than that it's a very good foundation!

Texture: The texture is very liquidy and watery. I don't find the texture thick at all. It very very light on my face and not at all heavy. There are alot of good ingredients in this and less chemicals which is probably what makes it so light-feeling.

Finish: This is great for dry-skinned people! The finish is amazing! It sets to a very dewy finish and gives a nice glow. This is great for me because I have severe dry skin. The great thing about this foundation is that it's very hydrating, so the dewyness stays all day. It doesn't stay for 1 hour and then dry my face up like other foundations do.

Wear: This foundation has average wear. It lasted 3-5 hours on me. It didn't last to long on me but I don't set it with anything. I imagine if you set it with powder it will last longer.

Overall, I really liked this foundation and it sucks that it oxidizes on me. I would repurchase if this didn't happen.

I consider myself a HE snob when considering makeup and I would have never considered a Benefit foundation had the very nice makeup assistance could not find my shade in the Guerlian line and recommended this product, I love this foundation, I have Sisely, Guerlain, Armani, Lancome, Chanel and this is the one I reach for every morning since I purchased it. I have combi skin, in my 40s, and this just adds a glow, not a shiny mess but a glow, and a very natural one at that. I have good skin to begin with but this just enhances what I have naturally to the point where even my husband asked after a long day at the office if I had the afternoon off to get my facial, which I did not. This really adds a radiance to your skin, it has not clogged my pores, in fact it has helped my complexion if that is even possible for a foundation, I hope they never reformlate this foundation and have just recenty purchased not one but 2 backups incase they do, my go to foundation used to be Armani Luminous Silk but this has replaced that, hard to believe but true

This is just not suited for oily skinned people. It also only provided light coverage. If you need more coverage or if you are oily skinned like moi, this will make you look like you smeared Crisco on you face. I put it on at 6:00 in the morning and by 9:00 I wanted to scream I looked so shiny, blotchy and greasy! I produce this kind of a look all by myself, I don't need to apply makeup to make my skin look greasy and shiny, my skin IS greasy and shiny already! I need makeup that mattifies and controls oil.

This makeup is better suited to dry skinned people who need help getting their skin to look glowy.

I'm really surprised at all of the good reviews, especially by people with oily skin. The girl at Sephora told me has oily skin and she just LOVES this and she was just sure that I was going to love it too. I should have just gotten a sample and tried it out before I bought. it.

Color wise, I picked Ivory which has a yellow undertone. It was a good match to neutralize my pinky toned skin.

Overall, this foundation is more like a tinted moisturizer as it provides very, very light coverage. I had MAJOR shine break through within a couple hours of wearing it. I don't feel that this is a good foundation for oily skinned people who need more than light coverage.

This is going back to Sephora.

Ive been using a sample of this in Champagne & it's almost a perfect color match for my Korean nc-25 skin! It's not drying (not yet after 1 week) but it definitely doesn't control oil on my T-zone. But I'd rather have to touch up with powder than suffer dry flaky patches on my nose-eye-cheeks. The color is very yellow-toned, so be wary of that if ur looking at champagne. It gives my face a natural soft-glow that reminds me of certain moisturizing Korean bb creams. I couldn't detect a scent. No break-outs so far, not even little ones or signs of big ones. It lasted a good 8 hrs before it looked like nothing was left on my skin. Will I repurchase? I'd love to, but I don't think the size is worth $34... continued >>

I got this as a sample at Sephora in the lightest shade. I used a primer but the foundation looked cakey on my skin and showed every dry spot. Admittedly, I hadn't exfoliated my skin in a few days and I know foundation goes on best with a smooth canvas. But I don't need foundation that works against me, since I have good skin as is and just want minimal coverage to even out the tone. It looked so bad that I had to remove it and start over, this time with Laura mercier TM. LM made my dry, unexfoliated skin look better. I'll try the benefit again with a better skin-prep job, but why use a foundation that only works when your skin is at its best?

Edit: I said I would try this again when fully exfoliated - well, it didn't work out. I didn't have to start all over again, but when I looked very closely I could see chalky coverage, foundation in my pores, and every single imperfection (even with primer). It actually made my skin look more matte and dull than it does with La Mer TM and Laura Mercier TM (non-illuminating), my HG foundations. I'm an Irish girl, and the Ivory wasn't light enough for my skin, although I appreciated that it was yellow-toned instead of pink. Not worth it - it's more expensive than LM; girls, trust me, try LM before buying this.

I got this as a sample at sephora. I got it in ivory it is the lightest color. It is yellow based but fine. I love it and use it as concealer or foundation. I would buy it if it went on sale or if I got more allowence. Next time I get my report card and get good grades or win something in my cross country meet I will buy this.

After only two uses, I think I may have found my HG foundation. I have very fair skin with yellow undertones, finding a suitable foundation can be quite a task. Few brands even carry a shade light enough, and even fewer have ones with yellow tones. I love the finish on this, it's very natural looking and does not look like makeup, it looks like good skin. Although the SA at Ulta said this was a full coverage foundation, I would put this more at light to medium. I have not tried it with a primer yet, but wear seems about average, I'd say it's fair to expect about 10-12 hours of wear. This is either lightly fragranced, or fragrance free because I didn't really pick up on a scent. One pump seems to be the perfect amount, if not just a tad much for one application. At $34 a bottle it's a few bucks less than UD Naked, and MUFE HD. I simply love how this looks on.

* EDIT *
If the SA says to you these are all yellow toned, that's incorrect, they are either yellow toned (very warm) or neutral. Petal and Champagne and Beige are yellow toned. Honey on the other hand is pink toned.

---

For all you yellow-toned girls out there - this is the foundation for you! All in the range are of a yellow base to rival most Japanese or Korean brands, I am just loving it.
I got matched to Beige, which makes me look super yellow and super tanned, just gorgeous (and sorta glamorous)!

Not a day when I'd planned to buy a fdtn, but was sold once I saw how amazing it looked. I am giving it a 4 for price as it cost AU$55 and while that is better than most high end fdtns out at the moment e.g. Shiseido $70, it is still not majorly cheap. A little does go a long way though, and half a pump will do your whole face.

Packaging gets a 5 (which is rare) because it is one of those pumps which pushes product to the top. I have also tried unscrewing the pump (some have to be pried off) which means that when the pump stops working i.e. won't pick up anymore product, I'll be able to pour the remainder out into a pot! Another good thing about this pump - it is completely controllable i.e. you can pump just a drop, a full pump, half a pump, whatever you want! Not one of those pumps which can only do a full pump and nothing else. Yewww!

Most of the reviews on MUA say this is no good for oily skins and I am normal (in winter) so it is working for me. Minor emphasis on pores on the chin and upper lip (over sunscreen), but its definitely worth it given how amazing the rest of the face looks! And this is just a pet peeve of mine, and only noticeable close up.
I have yet to see how it performs in hot humid summer so I'll do an update in a few months. It may oxidise but we'll see!
On my skin, which is normal, at the worst I get an oily T but generally dehydrated, this looks exactly how I want it - natural satin finish without obvious sheen. You could add a highlighter if you wanted to look like a model.

So far I am very happy with this, because colour match for me is paramount (most other gripes can be solved with the addition of other products). The finish is fab and so far it is reasonably long wearing! Similar to EL DWL but in the right colour :) Definitely goes on light, but will build without caking.

More about me:
Asian normal skin - tending towards combination in summer
Was acne-prone for years
Foundation preference is to look as yellow as possible, absolutely nil pink
MAC NC-30, Shiseido O60, BeneFit Beige, Bobbi Brown #4, MUFE Sand/Desert
Sunscreen everyday - alternating between Sofina and Invisible Zinc
