This is my first high end foundation and I could kick myself for all the drugstore foundations I have wasted my money on....
This stuff is very nice and gives great coverage, it is light and has a non offensive smell with a beautiful bottle. I will never buy drugstore again. This stuff really does last...the end of the day and my face still looks great!
Recommend!

Oh and I also purchcased this when Lancome was having an amazing 6 piece gift with purhcase....score! So it cost me $50 CDN for the foundation but I got a makeup bag with lip stick, face creams, blush, mascara etc ...timing is everything!

I love Lancome! Truly do. I have loved their foundations for a long, long time. I own several right now. This particular one, however, has been my problem child. It OXIDIZES. Period. (The color is chalky well before it turns.) I have been visiting my lancome counter like a mad chemist asking for a sample of a yellow base, then a pink base trying to acheive some sort of believable skin. I really should have returned it based on this fact alone- the color. I now have so many shades inside this bottle- i couldnt replace it if I wanted to! It's finally to a point that it is wearable- but unless Lancome takes a better look at this foundation, I will not spend my $$ on this one.

When I tried on this product at the store with the help of the saleswoman, I loved it. My skin looked beautiful and flawless and the colored seemed to be the right match. I raved about it to my friends and family until after a week or two. I traveled to another place more humid but cooler than where I bought the product from and I don't know whether my skin tanned or the product changed color because it started to look too pink on me and too obvious that I had put on foundation. It started to look thicker and get cakey on my skin within a few hours--that is, under 3 or 4 hours. I traveled back to the same place I first tried the foundation on but it still looked thick and cakey on me. I began to feel uncomfortable in the foundation rather than happy and confident as I had been when I first used it. I looked forward to finishing the bottle but didn't finish it soon enough so I got another foundation that suits me much better. Now I just use Teint Idole Ultra 24H occasionally at night, mostly, when the color mismatch won't be so obvious and when I know I won't have to wear it for very long--I actually wouldn't have been using it anymore but only because I don't want to waste it since it was pretty expensive. I gave it 3 stars because it might work better for cooler-toned, lighter skinned people because my skin is tan and has more yellow undertones. The bottle is almost finished and I will be free of the burden of using it soon. Liberty!

Ok......I've struggled with finding a foundation that 1. Doesnt't break me out and clog my pores 2. Stays on without fading away thoughout the day (my skin is super oily) 3. Doesn't settle into every single crease and crevice! TIU is THE best long wearing foundation I have tried, it's a medium to full coverage (buildable without getting cakey) I either apply it with my fingers or a Sigma brush (usually the F80)......it has a beautiful finish and lasts at least 12h (my normal work day) withstands heat and humidity (I live in FL).....yes I do have to blot at least once but I don't think there's a foundation out there that can completely control oil ALL day. So the claim:
The full coverage you need – flaws, pores, redness and all imperfections visibly disappear. The velvety finish you love for 24-hour lasting perfection and comfort. Full coverage. Velvety matte finish with no powdery effect.
Oil-free. Fragrance-free. Transfer-free. Non-comedogenic. Tested on sensitive skin. Tested under dermatological control.
I agree with everything except the transfer resistant part because it has transferred onto tissue after I've blown my nose. The finish is velvety matte, not like a mask (like Estée Lauder DW, which was horrible!) and just blends in so smoothly. Only big con is the price and the fact that I need 2 shades to mix together (320 Bisque W and 460 Suede W, 1 pump of 320 and like 1/4 pump of the 460).....o yea and about the packaging, the pump is AWESOME, very controllable, but the bottle is frosted so I can't tell how much is left which kinda sucks but I can live with that. So is it worth it.....yea for me it is.......would I rather just use one shade and not spend so much.......of course but for now I'm sticking with what works and this works!

I am sorry to report that TIU 24HR wasn't as great for me as it was for many reviewers. I purchased this foundation earlier this year just as it was released, and subsequently suffered from clogged pores and chin line acne all summer. My skin was kind of a bummer for the past while.

TIU 24HR oxidised like crazy and made my skin very oily - I usually have a bit of oil, but nowhere near the amount that was apparent on my face while using TIU 24HR. At first the foundation was nice to apply but I found that it became difficult to blend and felt heavier and heavier over time. I did shake the foundation well and swirled the product around with the pump stick, but this didn't help with the thickness issue. My skin is around NC 15 and I was "matched" to Ivoire 2C - a bit too pink and dark, especially after oxidisation.

My other note - one long weekend I did not wear any foundation and when I went to apply the following week for work, I found that the bit of foundation that had smudged on the cap was literally like Play Doh or Plastecine in consistency. Really waxy, really weird texture. Sure, it was dry, but I haven't really came across this consistency in accidential cap foundation...well, ever.

On the suggestion of several nice MUA ladies I have been test driving ELDW and will be trying a few other foundations out. After wearing ELDW for 4 days for work, I am happier. It is no where near as heavy as TIU and I am much less oilier. I will see if the clog / chin spots issue gets any better. For the price....TIU was an overpriced, poor performance product for my tastes.

***For long wear foundations, and just to be clean, I do double cleanse.**

I hate Lancome's foundations because they have a hevy, powerfull smell wich I really do not like but after I tested it in Sephora over and over again I finally bought it in 01 beige albarte.
I liked the colour witch I thought made a good match for my skin and I liked the coverage but still I hated the smell. So I took it home... BIG MISTAKE! This OXIDISES like hell, it turns colour within 2h like no foundation ever and I have tried many, and it does this oxidasion without me beeing in heat or at the gym. When I go to the gym wearing it I leave there with it still on my face (good for staying power because I really make an effort there and i sweat alot and i do sauna too) but a very different color... and that smell... oh my God, that awfull smell...
So... a big NO-NO for smell and OXIDATION...

Ok so I will start of by saying I used to use the old version and apart from some slight oxidisation and the palest shade being too dark (for reference I'm probably close to an NC10 and can never find anything to match) it was a really amazing foundation. After having a few other high-end foundations in rotation for awhile I thought I would go back to Lancome and see what the new formula is all about.

PROS
-really is budge proof, once this baby dries it is there for the day which i love
- the finish is amazing, a satin matte that doesnt look to overly made up
-the coverage is full without being cakey or fake
-the pump bottle makes it so convenient

CONS
- the lightest shade is still far too dark for me and has to be well blended otherwise I look like I'm wearing a dark mask
- it does tend to oxidise but only if you are in the heat or sweating a bit in which case watch out as this will turn orange FAST
- it is overly fragranced and has alcohol which I know isnt good for my skin as it has been dry and flaky with some small bumpy breakouts

Overall this isnt a day to day winner for me as the cons far outweigh the pros and it does tend to ruin my skin. I will still keep it in my stash though for the odd night out when I want to be both flawless and budgeproof! Looks like the search for the HG foundation continues

THis is my new HG Foundation! I'm nc20 & wear 140 Ivory. it covers my old blemish marks well & I only need one pump. I normally set w/ translucent powder. Photographs great too & easy to take off at night. I'd say this is a dupe for Face Atelier. This wears all day & doesn't fade. I'm so happy this is a perfect match for myself! People tell me I look like a porecelain doll when I wear this :) continued >>

I Have NC10 Sensitive Dry skin. I deal with occasional bouts of acne and severe eczema and dermatitis and have some scarring from my big pharma maiming. This product does contain alcohol which hasn't bothered me nor my eye area so It must be a low concentration.

I paid $44 US. Expensive but this 1 fl.oz. bottle lasted me almost 6 months now with my average use of 5 days a week. I generally use 1 squirt from the pump and that gives medium coverage when I apply with my flat top powder brush from ELF studio line. Sometimes when I am 'going out' I will use a second pump of product for more coverage and for a more matte finish.

The bottle is glass and I like the pump. The top is a sturdy hard plastic and stays on the bottle. I have dropped the bottle and it hasn't chipped or broken.

I don't use primers and haven't with this.

This can be built up with out cakie-ness to full coverage. If I apply a liberal amount of moisturizer I can get a satin finish and with more product, I can get a matte finish. This does stay on but will transfer with heavy make-out friction. My bfriend had a beard and nothing would've stood up to that. But it could under go light touching and be OK. I don't use a powder to set this daily as my skin is dry. It doesn't creep into any fine lines and blurs some of my scarring from my skin bouts. I didn't notice a smell with this like with other lancome products such as their blush and skincare. I haven't worn this 24 hours but have worn it a maximum of 14 hours with some dewiness in the t zone if I moisturize well. This is the only longwear foundation with an intensity light enough(Ivoire 100N) to actually suit my skin tone of NC10. It's not a perfect match but it is pretty darn close, blends well and is forgiving.

I prefer to apply this with my ELF brush mentioned above and have used my fingers before with success.

The bottle I am currently on is 3/4 of the way gone and I am 1/2 way thru month 6 since starting this and I have purchased my second bottle in waiting. When GWP rolls around for The Bon Ton, I plan on getting my third so I will have my back up. :-)
