I purchased this at a local drugstore while vacationing as I forgot to pack a cleanser. This works great in that it really does take off all makeup and excess oil. Of course, I use a good moisturizer following as my skin tends to get tight and dry. If you have very sensitive skin, this may irritate - but for now, I'm glad I stumbled across this and will buy again and again ~
I don't know why but these orange Neutrogena washes are always my default cleansers. The sad thing is that I actually really, really dislike their washes. When using this cleanser twice a day, my face becomes perpetually dry and ashy. After immediate use my face feels tight and clean, but then my skin just becomes an oily mess all over again. It is quite stripping, and I'm afraid it's become a sort of crutch for cleansing off my make-up. I have a gentler cleanser alongside it, but in desperate times, I always reach for this toxic-smelling wash to take all the gunk off my face. I don't know how I'm going to finish this crap; for the most part, I use it generously as an anti-bacterial soap for my hands, but I really do not like this as a cleanser for my face.
it washes your face and thats about it. Really this is just like soap in orange gel like form, it didnt do anything for my skin, it kept it clean and that stopped breakouts but really it's nothing special I had to commit hard to finishing this product, it lasts ages I couldn't wait to move onto something else!!

I bought this a couple days ago and so far I can't say too many positive things about it. My face looks a little bit redder than it normaly does. My face is not really drier but more irrated like all has been stripped from my face. I will not be using this as often as it claims you should- twice a day. I think I'll be switching it up between my regular facial bar soap in the morning and this at night when I want to wipe all my make-up ect. off my face before I go to bed.
Would NOT recommend this to woman with dry, sensitve, or acne prone skin (It can cause more outbreaks). And if you do be prepared to stay out of the sun.
Im reviewing neutrogena deep clean gel wash, normal to oily skin. it says on the back oil-free, wont clog pores and dermatologist tested. Cant find the exact item in the product list so Im reviewing it under this. Its from UK, btw. I've been using this cleanser for a year since I moved cos cant find my old better cleanser (clinelle) here. If I can find clinelle here, maybe I'll switch, depends which is cheaper. I have a very oily face so I have to find a quite strong cleanser to wash the oil from my face. I find this cleanser cleansed deep without making my face dry or tight. Its very cheap too, i got it for 3pound something for 200ml. I just recently bought my 4th bottle, so a bottle last at least 3 to 4 months. It smells very soft and doesnt linger. I use only half a pump but it forms quite thick foam and washed away easily. Overall it works well, easy to find n cheap cleanser for me
I don't understand why people don't like this cleanser. For reference, I have normal skin with a very oily t-zone. This does an excellent job of cleaning out my pores. It's great for removing the blackheads on my nose temporarily. I also like the foaming action. After cleansing, I always use a good moisturizer so my skin doesn't feel dry.
It cleans very well. But It seems to derive lots of moisture out of my face.(maybe removing too much natural oil from the skin). I have combination, a oily T zone in the summer. But it's too dry for other parts of my skin. So, I dropped it off for anther cleanser, Avalon's Sea Kelp cleanser, but that one does not clean my T zone as well. I picked up Avalon's Vitamin C cleanser. It's good, for both my T zone and my normal area.

I've bought many facial cleansers over the years because of my teenage acne and terrible skin. This one is very affordable and works GREAT. It does exactly as the bottle says, removes makeup great and does clean deeply. I do have dry and sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate my skin at all. It does have a smell, but I like it. It's hard to describe, but it's very 'fresh' smelling. It took awhile for me to actually see results (I do not have acne anymore, but definately do NOT want it back!!) and it did actually improve my complexion. The redness and irritation in my face decreased by a significant amount, and it was the only product I changed! Love it, and it is very affordable.
I recommend this product to anyone who has sensitive, dry skin. Or anyone in general!
I've switched face washes I don't know how many times in the last ten years, but this is one that I really enjoy. The smell isn't great, and you have to read the directions to get it to work (you MUST lather it before applying it to your face, otherwise it won't do anything), but once I got it right, it was the best face wash I've used. Better than Clinique or Cetaphil or Noxzema or Clean & Clear. I'll keep using it until they stop making it, probably. continued >>
i usually buy the deep clean cream cleanser but decided to try this one. I have combo skin and this is very drying! will not repurchase! and i still needed a toner to get the makeup all off. the only way i can use this is if i oil cleanse first, then use a TINY bit to follow up. Otherwise no way. Im using it just to clean my brushes.
