This stuff seriously sucks-flakes everwhere, irritated my contact lenses, and gave me racoon eyes in 2 hours!
I actually realllly like this mascara, despite the fact I hated the original lash stilleto. This mascara provides good volume and length although it does take some time to build up the mascara. I think the shape is interesting, and I think it actually helps my lashes to be more fanned out. The greatest thing about this mascara for me though is that it holds a curl. I have Asian lashes and they tend to fall down after I mascara them despite the fact I curled them moments before, and don't get me wrong, this mascara does it too, but I all I have to do is lightly curl my lashes again once its dried and my lashes actually stand out. Lash Blast never did this unless I wanted to sacrifice eight lashes at a time. So yes, i definitely recommend this and yes, I will most definitely repurchase :)
this is an overall okay mascara for me...one of the big problems i have with it is that it takes forever to apply! to get a really good length and for it not to clump, you have to carefully take ur time. i loved the packaging and the brush, and the glossy look afterwards, but i have found a better mascara.
Starting off, I love the brush for this mascara; the "s" curve really adds extra volume to my lashes and helps to lift them. This mascara didn't flake much at all, though it tends to smudge a little bit under my eyes. The formula itself is pretty decent, though I feel there is room for improvement. The mascara is dry and takes me several coats to build it up to the amount of volume I want. I wear this mascara when I need something that looks natural and minimal. If you're looking for dramatic lashes, I'd recommend a different mascara.
My eyelashes are thin and go downward so it only looks good if I curl my eyelashes first and put two coats on. It tends to smudge alittle under my eyes.
I suppose I am in the minority, but I really liked this mascara. I am a fan of curved brushes, I feel that they get to my inner baby lashes better, they are easy to use. The formulation on this is good, very glossy, but you have to work fast if you want to do multiple coats because it dries fast.
It definitely gives length, separates great and gives a bit of volume. Not wow volume, but pretty good in any case.
I did not buy the original lash stiletto so I can't compare with that, but this mascara worked for me!
Don't waste your hard earned money on this ladies. It's garbage. The formula is clumpy, the brush is lame, and it's very difficult to take off. I also hate the way the cap screws on. It's a bit awkward. It didn't volumize or give me longer lashes at all. It did give me clumpy, sticky lashes. Not cute.
When I do wear mascara, people often ask me what kind I am wearing. It is always this one. I have already turned several friends on to this mascara. It does take me forever to apply, but all mascara does... I have blonde lashes, so they are hard to see. I'm glad they made this one because the non-Voluptuous Lash Stiletto was not thick enough for my liking.
I wish I hadn't wasted the money. I have had it for a week now and I am already in the market for another. I don't like to have to wipe my mascara's down with tissue before I put them on, it's just inconvenient. This stuff was clump-city for me and the length wasn't that great.
PROS: Pretty good volume. Decent length building. Quite inexpensive. Washes off pretty easily when removing.
CONS: Doesn't build thickness enough for me. Doesn't last long before I get tiny flakes.
APPLICATION TIPS: Shiseido's primer (even the new one) helps this stay on with WAY less smudging/transfer/flaking. I am a recent convert to using Shiseido's popular curler too.
ALTERNATES: I use L'Oreal Beauty Tubes for lasting lashes (without much thickness). Jordana's Volumizing mascara and Loreal's Voluminous Million Lashes give me volume and length that lasts a long time without flaking.
