Desire works surprisingly well for my olive tan skin tone (leaning more neutral than warm)—I initially thought it would be too cool, but when applied with a light hand, it gives me a bright, in-from-the-cold flush. Love wearing it with black winged liner and MAC sweetie l/s for a polished look. Will repurchase if I ever run out.
For reference, I’m MAC NC37-42, LM t/m in Almond, LM mmu in Pure Honey, and Hard Candy t/m in Tan.

This is my first and last Nars blush. Why? Because i'll never be able to finish it so there's no point in buying more (thats why i chose the 'No' option, not because its a bad product!) and it's also a matter of personal color preference, I'm simply not attracted to the other colors, and most are shimmery whereas this is nicely matte.
Now on to the actual product. It's safe to say you really shouldn't swipe your brush on it, a few light taps on the pan followed by tapping the brush onto your cheeks -and blend- should suffice. On my skintone it shows up warm(?!) but thats probably because i'm very yellow toned (C3). I do look as if i come straight back from the cold *if that ever possible in a tropical country hahah*
The amount of blush supplied does justify the (very steep!) price, but i'm pretty sure this baby will last me well until the zombie apocalypse arrives or something ;-p
Everytime i would go to Sephora, this blush would always catch my eye and this week i finally caved in and bought it. This is my first NARS blush and i have to say, i love it! I tend to stick to more peachy blushes, so this blush was completely out of my comfort zone but im glad i bought it. It gives a really beautiful flush to the cheeks when applied lightly.I just tap my blush brush once in the product and lightly swirl it over the apples of my cheeks. It actually doesnt turn up as the bright baby pink of the pan on my cheeks, but a much warmer pink, which dissapointed me at first but i do really like it anyway and if i ever run out (which, as previous reviewers have said, seems impossible given you just need a teeny amount of product) i would repurchase. I can't wait to try more NARS blushes!
Another fantastic powder blush from NARS! (Why did I wait so long to try these, anyway? Well, I recently caved, fell in love, and now own three of them, all purchased in rapid succession. Enough said). Desire is a nearly neon, straight-up matte candy pink (no shimmer) that is rather intimidating in the pan but when properly applied I suspect that it is flattering on a wide range of skin tones. That said, I do have to be a bit more careful applying Desire than a warm peach blush, for example, as I am quite olive skinned (MAC NC 35/40). I have two critical words of advice for anyone who wants to try this gorgeous shade:
FAN BRUSH. :)
(And the Smashbox fan brush #22 is a great place to start - it's the best one that I have found to date). Just tap your fan brush *lightly* onto the blush and apply. Work towards building up light layers of color - though I imagine that just a few swipes of the brush should be enough. Given the extremely small amount of product used per application, this blush will last you forever, therefore it is well worth the price. Like the other NARS powder blushes that I own (Gina, Amour, and Desire), I apply this product once in the morning and it lasts all day on my slightly oily skin. This is certainly one of the very best powder blushes on the market.

I love the colour of this blush!
Since you are buying good quality powder with good pigment, you must be careful in the way you put it on. A little goes a long way.
Very pretty pink blush!! I have been having a hard time finding a pink blush that won't turn orange on me. So I got this to try it out, this is so pigmented so be really careful when you apply it and be sure to use a light hand. This really lastes, and the color never changes from the minute I put it on! A lot of my other blushes disappear or turn orange by the end of the day, but not this one. I think I found my perfect pink blush, and it is so big, I doubt I will ever run out.
if you want dolly looking cheeks, go with Angelika instead. on my skintone (nc20-25), I've had a few comments with me looking drunk when I wear Desire even using a very light hand...... -____- this is just too bright pink for me. the shade does not work for me, but I do like the silky matte pigmented formula.

This product gives me the "back from the cold" look. It's really pretty; however, I wouldn't buy again because this product will last for ages.
I cannot say much more than what others have said, only add to the praise. I bought this to add some color to the apples of my cheeks, and when applied with a very light hand, the results are increadible. I look so fresh and alive. It is pure beauty, when applied correctly. The blush is pigmented, soft, easy to blend. It might take a few applications before you figure out how exactly to apply this blush and not look like a clown, but it is worth the trial and error. I would recommend this product in a heartbeat.

Desire is a matte, bright, saturated cotton-candy pink with intense pigmentation. As ridunkulously intimidating as it looks in the pan, you can easily achieve a subtle effect with a light hand: it blends seamlessly into the skin and can lift up the whole face on a tired, sallow kind of day. A skunk brush like MAC187 would make application easier as the sparse bristles pick up just the right amount of product that can then be evenly stippled onto the cheeks. Texture is silky and soft, but not so soft that it easily migrates or breaks down throughout the day, in fact I've never had to touch up with this. I think it's because of the inherent brightness of this shade that the intensity of it doesn't even fade after 12 hours.
Overall, it's the quintessential wake-me-up product that should work especially well on fair/medium skintones. (I'm NC20)
