This face wash is just disappointment in a bottle. It dried my skin out (thankfully, not as much as it possibly could have), it's harsh, it doesn't feel like it does anything, and as far as acne goes, it did absolutely nothing for my breakouts. Don't waste your money on this.

First of all, I'm really upset to see so many people giving negative reviews about this product. It makes me sad to see that a product that has worked wonders for me has given others a such bad experiences :(
Anyway, I love this face wash. (I do have to admit, I use the wal-mart off-brand because it's half the price). I've been using it for 10 years now. My dermatologist recommends this product and says that "this is the best medicated acne cleanser out there". I do have oily acne-prone skin, and this has helped to clear my skin pretty well. Now, I don't expect a cleanser alone to magically clear away my acne just like that; but this stuff has been an excellent cleanser to complement my acne-clearing regimen (mostly prescriptions). It does not overly dry-out my skin; if I use it like 4 times a day it might, but I only use it 2-3 times a day. My face feels fresh and clean after I use this. I like that it has salicylic acid acne medicine in it. I've had problems with benzoyl peroxide cleansers creating sensitivity, so salicylic acid is wonderful for me.
Overall, best cleanser out there in my opinion. I will continue to use this stuff for many years to come.

I used this for the longest time, (about 7/8 years). When I first started using this, my skin was fine & no irritation or anything. I don't know if my skin maybe changed, or the formula changed....but something definitely changed. I started to realize how tight & dry this leaves skin feeling. This sucks all the natural oils out of your face, which dries your skin out. I do not reccommend this for people with normal-dry skin, only if you have extremely oily skin. This is way too drying & irritating. Make sure not to get this anywhere near your eyes, or your eyes will burn for the rest of the day/night. My eyes were always very sensitive to this & it would take hours for the irritation to go away. Bottle comes with a lot though, & lasts a long time. continued >>

Please let me start off by saying that if you have dry skin, then this IS NOT the product for you. I have very oily skin & it works fine. I am on my 4th or 5th bottle of this stuff, so obviously I'm liking it :] I have acne prone skin, and oily skin. I'm almost 20 & the acne still shows up. I have been using this product for 2 years now. You have to give it a chance though. Like any product, it does not work overnight. I do love it though. It melts my makeup right off at night time, which is something i love. Let me say though, you still need to use a moisturizer... HOW I CURED ACNE & MY PRODUCTS:

Alright so before I start, I would just like to point out my features. I'm in my teenage years, with acne on my forehead and my nose. I have NEVER grown acne anywhere else. I DO NOT use the pink one or the yellow one, I use " NEUTROGENA OIL-FREE ACNE WASH REDNESS SOOTHING FACIAL CLEANSER" which is in a green bottle. I have been using this for exactly a year now.

I went to my doctor for my acne last spring and he recommended this and Clindasol's 2% cream (which must be prescribed). This facial cleanser has done WONDERS for me!!! In my first week of using it, my acne dramatically reduced in size and colour, this left my face very fresh and clean. I have pretty oily and sensitive skin, and this cleanser is very very gentle on me. I stopped growing acne on my forehead and nose and within a month my acne just became dead acne scars.

Except for the occasional breakout once a month, i never get acne now. I apply the clindasol cream on top of my forehead and around my nose (whereever i get breakouts) and they usually reduce within a week.

For the rest of my face, I use Clinique's dramatically different moisturizing gel, not the lotion, but the gel! the gel is very mattifying and doesn't leave this gross oily texture on my face. However, I don't see anything "dramatic" happening with my skin. I only use this because it doesn't feel oily and it NEVER broke me out.
So if you're in your teenage years and hating your acne. USE THE ABOVE PRODUCTS AND WATCH WHAT YOU EAT!

I saw a commercial for this stuff today, I hope nobody's still falling for it. I used this years ago and had awful results. My college roommate used this and her face was always cracked, raw and red. Pretty much sums up my experience with the stuff. Didn't have the heart to tell her.

This didn't break me out or anything, but this completely dried my face out! Stripped my face of oils completely! I would only recommend this for VERY, VERY oily skin. Will not repurchase.

I have regular skin, but I do occasionally break out on my forehead because of my bangs. This works. I use it daily on my whole face, and have never noticed any drying-out.

This acne wash was the worst thing ever, when i used it for 2 days, my skin started breaking out, and stripping all my oils on my face, and just really drying my skin out to the point it started peeling, it felt horrible. i had to put load of moisterisers to get it back to normal, in summary never buying this product again, seriously really stripping and i have oily - combination skin, and acne prone skin and it did nothing buy harshly dry my skin out!

Wow. Terrible. All I will say is that this made me incredibly oily. I went through about 30 oil blotters when I was using this. Finally figured out this was the culprit. It also gave me the worst rash on my neck. It wasn't incredibly drying bc I followed with moisturizer. Wanted to like it, liked the lather and the way my skin looked minus the rash on the neck but it sent me in to oil overdrive so I just couldn't continue!
