Kei for some reasons this cleanser makes my face tight after.. It's just ok.. Ithink you will see a dramatic difference on your face in like 2-3 months.. It's very gentle and doesn't lather.. It's in gel form and when you put it on your face it stays on gel.. The scent does not bother me at all.. ;)
After using a Neutrogena product, my skin broke out like crazy. My friend recommended that I try Spectro, as it's what's her dermatologist recommended to her.
I purchased it two days ago and I ALREADY notice a different in my skin. For one, my acne is clearing up and is already less red and visible. Also, I've noticed my skin feels much softer.
I will continue to use this product and edit my review in a month :)
My dermatologist recommended this cleanser when I was 16 years old and I have been using it ever since, off and on, of course. I always keep coming back to this as it never dries out my skin. I use this in the morning as I don't feel that a "good deep clean" is necessary when all you've done is sleep. It takes a while to get use to it but once you use it for a month or so, go back to a standard cleanser and you'll see the benefit to this cleanser.
I usually purchase a huge pump bottle of this product at Costco and it lasts a long time. I only use it in the morning since it does not remove makeup very well. It is a gel consistency and I love the way it makes my skin look. My skin looks better the longer I massage it onto my face. Spectro Jel leaves my skin feeling soft and lightly moisturized. I love it and will continue to use!
I love this cleanser! This is the second bottle that I got. It helps me keep my skin fresh and feeling clean. It is a bit expensive though..$15 for 500 ml. It helps with getting makeup off, but it doesnt come off entirely. Mine has a fragrance, and I like that alcohol smell. I would buy this again when I'm done.
My HG cleanser! I have acne prone skin that I keep clear with topical cream, but this leaves me with dry flaky skin. This formula is very gentle and does not aggravate the skin at all. It keeps my skin clear and soft. The only negative is that it doesn't remove makeup very well on its own, so I usually run a makeup cleansing cloth over my skin and then use the spectrojel. At first it might not feel like it's doing anything because it doesn't foam or have any exfoliants, but give it time and your skin will be very happy!
EDIT: Made me break out. //// A bit about my skin to start off. My skin is acne-prone, but kept under control due to topical acne creams and gels. My skin has been clear for over two years, only it gets really oily and remains sensitive. I have been a faithfull user to Ducray Keracnyl for the past years. However, my skin has recently started peeling when I use it. So I was on the hunt for some new cleanser. I saw Spectro Jel and remembered my derm had recommended it. I decided to try it, and boy, am I pleased with it. It cleanses very well and does not irritate my skin. I apply the gel with my fingers on wet skin. I massage my skin in a circular motion and wipe it off with a wet washcloth. Oh, and don't expect lather or even a slight difference in the gel. It's impossible that this irritates someone. Great buy!
I have acne prone dry skin that tends to get EXTREMELY dry and flakey in the winter, as well as every time I use a product to try and get rid of my acne. My face becomes so tight that it actually hurts to talk or smile. It also becomes very flakey and crusty, making it impossible to apply foundation/powder without looking like some sort of freak. Once I apply some sort of moisturizer, my face either #1- doesn't get moisturized enough and is still tight or #2- becomes a greasy mess. I was always on the search for a facial cleanser that would not leave my skin feeling tight RIGHT after I washed my face. A dermatologist recommended Spectro Jel to me and said that it would not break out my skin or cause it to feel dry. I have been using it for about a year and I really like it. It has never caused me to break out and it acts as a cleanser that gets the job done. Although it doesn't give me that super, clean feeling I guess that feeling is what did cause my skin to feel so tight and dry before. I always use a makeup cloth to remove my makeup before using this and then I use Spectro Jel. That really gets all my make-up and I find that the residue my eyeliner or mascara leaves behind, the Spectro Jel washes right off. I paid around $13.99 for the huge, pump bottle at Shoppers Drug Mart. Although I thought it was a bit expensive at first, the product does last a really long time. Having a pump bottle is also a plus since it is much more hygenic to use one instead of dipping your fingers inside of a jar. The large pump bottle would obviously not be as convinient if a person were travelling, so I guess that may be a problem to some. But you can always just put a bit of cleanser in a little, travel-sized bottle.
This cleanser helped my skin, although I feel it doesn't wash off makeup that well. However, it cleans without stripping, and leaves my face feeling soft and refreshed.
This is my favorite cleanser. I've been using it for a couple years and it hasn't caused me to break out. Its very gentle and leaves my skin soft. I don't get that tight feeling after washing my face. However, it does not remove all of my makeup so I use the spectopads afterwards. Great cleanser.
