Pale Pink Pot Rouge is a definite YES. Since you need so little product and the one application lasts all day, the price is good. I only use it on cheeks because its too much of a blue-pink or Barbie pink on the lips.
I'm a PPP with burgundy hair, I usually wear BB Porcelain in Moisture Rich or Oil Free. I used to wear Powder Pink Pot Rouge and it was nice but it was a bit too warm for me. Thank God Bobbi made Pale Pink in a Pot rouge! Its PERFECT!!!
Now I've found a way to get the best look with both: I tap my fingers on the Powder Pink Pot Rouge and blend a dab on the sides of my forehead above my eyes (avoiding the center of my forehead) and softly blend it down onto my cheekbones, in a "C" shape. This warm pink applied softly works like a bronzer does for everyone else; it gives my skin a touch of warmth. Then I apply a dab of the Pale Pink Pot Rouge on the apples of my cheeks, like the "pop of color" that Bobbi suggests, and it looks fresh and beautiful ALL DAY.
When I come home from work sometimes 10 or 12 hours after I applied my makeup in the morning, my skin still looks fresh and pretty.
PPPs who want to add a touch of warmth to their skin have a hard time with products labeled "bronzer" because they tend to be brown or orangey and can make a PPP look dirty or muddy. I've had to step out of the box and look at different tones to provide warmth. I also use Stila CC in Magnolia as a bronzer and Peony for the pop on the apples.
Please let me know if you found my review helpful. I'd appreciate some feedback.
Skin: cool toned NW15
Eyes: light brown
Hair: dyed dark red
I LOVE this blush. I almost went crazy trying to buy it because it was OOS in Chicago for weeks and I wanted it so bad once I saw how pretty it looked on my cheeks! It's a pale yet bright pop of hot pink color that's sheer enough to let your skin show through. This is the color I was hoping Stila CC in Fuschia, which is far too neon for me, would be and what Nars Angelika almost achieves, but misses due to a strange dull undertone to the color.
The lasting power is amazing on the Pot Rouge as well. I can still see the color on my cheeks when I come home from work, something which has never happened to me before with a blush.
I really like this pot rouge a lot -- both in shade and formula. This is what I wanted my "Powder Pink" pot rouge to be. I had to swap that one away because it was too warm toned for me and waited for them to come out with a cooler pink -- this is it!! My likes include the fact that it is unscented, very pigmented, a decent amount of product, relatively long-lasting, easy to blend ... a little goes a long way and it gives a really cute pink flush to my cheeks! Bobbi Brown pale pink powder blush is already a staple of mine, and the pot rouge is just as perfect a cool pink shade as the powder blush is. Looks kinda bright in the pot but on the skin, but it is much more tame on the skin ... really makes my face come alive. It really compliments my yellow-toned asian NC25-30/C3 dark hair dark eyes complexion very well -- a real keeper this is!
great blush, great colour, was ar first a bit hesitant, it looks so pink.... but it goes perfectly with mys skin, NC20, pale skin, european.
i have to put on a bit more on my cheeks as i usually have to do with any other blus for it to show. Will not put in on my lips though, too dry.
Ooooooohhhhhh I like this. I have used other BB pot rouges before (Blushed Rose being one) and found them to be a bit too ruddy and brick like for my skin tone, (pale, Becca Porcelain, BB Porcelaine etc) but this is great and actually looks like me blushing (lol) and doesn't interfere with high colouring on cheeks. It is easy to blend for me, and lasts a good 6 hrs. Definate repurchase if I ever get through it.
Love this color too! Compliments with my skintone. I use MAC 25-30/C3, Armani HydraGlow #5. When I put it on, it looks very fresh! It does look like I have added color to my cheek though, but it's such a pretty color that I don't mind! For a more natural look, I recommend the Powder Pink Pot Rouge (check out my review for that) This is my first cheek cream and I'm not having any trouble blending. It stays on for a long time. Just voted #1 blush from Seventeen magazine (March 2006) and one of Allure magazine's top picks!
This is my first full size pot rouge, in fact I liked the texture so much that I went to buy more. On my NC30 skin it brighthens up my face. It gives me a healthy glow. Am definitely going to get more!
I love this product line from BB. The texture is a firm cream, moist but not greasy. I use this on both my cheeks and lips. Holds up well to a foundation brush, but still soft enough to use with a lip brush too. Blends well with a foundation brush. The color is indistinguishable from BB's Pale Pink powder blush: matte candy pink - great with my AAB/NC25 coloring. Staying power is reasonably good on both cheeks and lips. I love the packaging too - very portable yet sturdy.
MA used this on me with Baby Pink Lip Sheer and Posey Shimmer Lip Tint. Very fresh, natural look for someone who is fair (Warm Ivory-Warm Sand depending on how much sun I get). Gives a dewy look. Can't wait to try some other colors.
I love this color! However, the lasting power is less than stelar for this cream...darn it! It gets lost on my face within 4 hours, and I hate reapplying. I've bought the powder version off ebay and am praying it lasts longer. Again, the color is lovely for my pale pinky skin, dark hair, and green-eyes. Perfect for day and a fresh face...a true Bobbi Brown icon look.
