I don't know how this product works as a toner because I don't understand what exactly a toner is but I do like this product for what I use it for, a light rinse to remove any makeup that my cleanser may have missed. I also like it on a cotton pad to remove sweat and prevent odor from my underarms and underboobs.

Day 1: OMG what is this smell?? oh..it's witch hazel. I've been wanting to try a bunch of natural products to fight my acne &this is one of them. However, it smells really bad :( Had to hold my breath &get this on my face. But even though it has 14% alcohol, it didn't sting or anything. What I'm hoping for this product to do is shrink my pores, possibly reduce my acne, and make my skin clean. Nothing yet though (duh). Fingers crossed!
6 Days Later: I couldn't make this product work for me. In the end, it was the smell. I just didn't like it at all. However, I won't drop another lippie. Because I used it for such a short amount of time, who knows if this product could've worked for me.
I LOVEEEE this stuff for my face. I usually spritz it on during hot sweaty days and it kept my skin clear smooth, poorless, toned, and so much younger fresher looking. I can feel my skin firming up. IT's good for hot sweaty days but I wouldn't recommend it for cold dry weather. I think it can be a bit too drying if you already have dry skin. But for hot damp summery months, it works like a charm to make my skin the best it can be. It makes my skin brighter too! The only draw back is the smell. I don't like the smell too much. Luckily it will dissipate and go away within a few minutes. It's not a horrible smell. It just has a woody herbal smell. I cannot go without this product in the hot humid summers. It doesn't dry out my skin and at the same time prevent break outs too
I don't use this all over my face as a toner because I already have dry skin, I only use it on pimples to dry it out and it does a really good job at that. I get the monthly few breakouts and it helps it. So it's really good, it's very affordable and you get a lot :)
I love this stuff, normally any toner leaves my face feeling tight and itchy but not this. I even started adding my tea tree oil to it for an added benefit.
I bought this because I wanted to try to use more natural products. I tried it last night, and while it did make my skin soft and smooth, I woke up today to the oiliest my face has ever been. It was literally like I took a handful of vegetable oil and slathered it on my face. Even my upper lip was oily, and my upper lip never gets oily.
I've tried products that made my face oily before, but wow. This is by far the worst.
I don't know if the problem is this brand specifically, or if it's witch hazel in general, but I will never buy this stuff again.
Awesome awesome awesome
After years of trying expensive acne skincare products, this has just done it for me (knock on wood). My skin has been pimple free for the past few weeks, even around my menstrual cycle and I know it's not just my teenage imbalance in hormones returning to normal. My skin still gets really oily and if I don't use it I'll start breaking out. And it makes my skin so bright and clear, making my pores invisible!! This stuff works. I like to soak several cotton pads and just leave it to sit on my skin for 2 minutes. This uses a lot but it's really inexpensive anyway. :) You never know what you can find at your local supermarket that can change your life.
This stuff is great! I've been using the cheapest walmart brand version of witch hazel for the past seven years, but the last time I went to walmart that kind was out of stock so I picked up Dickinson's. I just may like Dickinson's better! The thing I like is the bottle is slightly more attractive, and the nozzle/cap is more like an actual toner instead of like a bottle of first aid solution lol. Witch hazel in general is awesome, and Dickinson's is no exception. It gives great, clean, supple skin. It helps clear and dare I say eliminate breakouts. It does what lackluster better brand toners don't seem to do. If you're having problems with your skin, try plain old witch hazel, because it's amazing!
Love this stuff and it lasts forever, and it's so cheap. I use it every morning and I feel like it kinda balances out my skin tone or something. Also, I feel like my skin isn't quite as oily as it has been...and no breakouts (knock on wood). The smell is reallyyy pungent when you first start using it, I almost threw it out b/c of the smell but you def get used to it. It reminds me of really strong soy sauce, lol.
Hate this. It does nothing for my skin but dry it out.
