Fix + is just hyped in my opinion but I still don't understand what it does as far as "fixing" is concerned, its not that special that you cannot make your own. But anyway, the way I use this is that when I need my face really matte for nights out or photography, I simple use this and skip a rizer. Add foundation, powder, etc to keep makeup matte. That is the one thing that works for me when using fix +.
With 1000+ reviews on MUA, I'm sure everyones got it covered...but quickly, here's my two cents.....
Beauty Staple - everyone MUST have this as part of their beauty arsenal
Price- kinda expensive for special h2o, idk lol
Packaging- lovely mist and i adore the lock feature!
Uses- I can write a book for the many uses of Fix+
Overall: Just get it! If you don't need it now, you will need it someday!
I think this product was a little bit pricey for me but I do like it. I haven't had it for too long but within the time I've had it, I like the effect it has on my face. Before I had this product, I would feel my face and would feel that make up there. Now, I do not feel it once I touch my face and it feels fairly smooth.
I had this a while ago, I never repurchased it. For some reason the pump broke rather easily on my bottle. Also, it is just so HEAVILY fragranced. Yuck, it's like spraying perfume on your face. I just make my own spray with green tea, distilled water, NOW's rose water concentrate. It does the same thing, minus the parabens, artificial fragrance, & whatever else is in it.
THIS IS HG! I can't imagine one day without this product (which is probably a bit sad in a way).
I use FIX + for so many things:
- preparing my skin before putting on foundation
- take away the chalkiness of mineral powder/ powder
- mixing with a heavy foundation (ex. kevyn aucion skin enhancer)
- mixing with eyeshadow when used as a liner
- adding a bit extra moisture during a dry cold day
- as a refresher during a hot summer day
i always keep two bottles of this at my apartment, and one mini in my bag at all times.
I love this fixing spray. I find that it does give me the dewey look that I want. Normally, I mix a little bit of this with my foundation and after powdering, I can go all day without my makeup looking cakey or without my makeup falling off my skin. Granted, I prime like mad, I make sure I give my makeup time to "cook," and I set my makeup with powder. I love this, my clients love this, and I find that it does what it is supposed to. This is a definite HG and a repurchase.
I love this and use it on all my clients and myself once I've done their makeup just to freshen it up and give it a more dewy, natural look. It makes the makeup look less makeupy and more natural when you're done. Too bad it's so expensive for such little product. I've only had it a few weeks and I've almost ran out.
Okay. I am an avid user of Fix + and mAC charged waters until I discovered something else. But I will get to that after I tell you my thoughts on the product. If you have dry skin and you want that dewey alive look, you will love this. It makes my makeup stay on, it smells nice ( very light scent ) and it lasts a long time, for me. BUT after a certain point it might start sputtering pretty bad, to wear you just get droplets on your face. NO BUENO. That's not what I want. I want a clean fine mist that distributes evenly. And another point, if you want a matte look rather than a glowy dewey complexion, you might want to try something else. I personally have been using Urban Decay All Nighter spray over my mAC waters because of the spluttering which I CANNOT stand. I might, after I'm done with my All Night, just pour my mAC water into that bottle. AND I have been rocking the matte look for some time now. So it really depends on your preference of desired complexion AND you've been warned about possibly sputtering. Overall, good product but I prefer All Nighter.
ITS AS SIMPLE AS THIS:
- NOT a setting a spray. Your makeup doesnt last longer with this
- Helps your makeup looking more natural, apply it if you ended up looking a little cakey.
- Its very refreshing, it hidrates your skin.
Would not repurchase, doesnt do as it claims, expensive for what really is.
I bought this at IMATS in Sydney last year. I find it great for setting make-up on drier skin to make it look less dry/cakey after powdering. My clients tell me how their make-up stays on until the next day, as mine does too when I use it. However when I used my dewy foundation it did nothing to stop the oil!
