This is HG material, hands down. And... guess what? This was my first concealer and I already know its my HG. The coverage is fantabulous and it doesn't crease of flake for me. I love it! However, I made the horrible mistake of getting one TWO shades lighter than my skin (NC35), so word of advice... check that you got the right color and you keep packaging and receipt for returning. I love this concealer besides the fact that I got the wrong shade and wasted $25 :(
But I have girlfriends that are lighter than me :)
I have horrible dark circles and have tried the MAC Studio Finish but didn't like how it faded away. I tried this at sephora a couple months ago but didn't buy it cause of the price. I tried the alternative and cheaper one, Hard Candy Glamoflauge concealer and I kinda liked it cause it covers up well but it didn't last long and they have poor color choices. Finally I bought this one and love it! It doesn't give you COMPLETE coverage but it does the best it can! A little goes a long way and it's very creamy and pigmented. My under eyes are always dry and has those little white bumps but this concealer works on it!
The only problem I have is that it's in a tube and so much comes out when you squeeze it so do it gently!
I don't have any tattoos but I read that you should layer the concealer but let it dry in between.
I love this concealer so much! It provides great coverage for blemishes and undereyes. For reference I'm NC 20 and the shade Light matches me perfectly. Its so creamy and blendable and defenitly buildable! I only buy liquid concealers and this is the best one I've tried so far! Plus its supposedly waterproof so thats good for the pool! This and a powder foundation and im good to go! BUY IT!
I have really dark undereye circles and tried a lot of different kind of drugstore concealers. I heard about kat von d's tattoo concealer and thought I might as well give it a try. Being that I have really dark circles, the concealer doesnt cover up, but it brightens.
A little goes a long way with this concealer, so don't put too much. I've had this tube since January and it still looks like I just bought it. So, it could probably last me about a year or more. Also, pat on some powder to set the concealer and the creasing shouldnt be a problem.
Overall, I think I got my money's worth with this concealer. It definitely is the best i've used so far. I'll probably stick with this until theres anything better.
REFERENCE: NC 30
Whenever i buy a concealer and it looks good from the start, i always believe that it will be my hg. I got this in tan and it looked beautiful in indoor light but in natural light it was orange so tan was a tad dark for my skin. SO i was going to exchange color for one shade lighter BUT i noticed something when i went outside. This concealer creased as all concealers do so i wasn't surprised, so normally i just take my ring finger and pat my undereye and the creasing would go away BUT the concealer DRIED so badly that i couldn't remove the creasing.
So overall this concealer is weird.
-easy to apply
-A lot of shades to look
-once dried, its DRIED you can't do anything about it
Overall, this concealer didn't work for me.
I bought this a while ago, used it on a few acne marks. Once the acne marks faded, I totally forgot I had it. I tried maybe 2-3 drugstore concealers since then, again, to cover blemishes & none of those worked. A few weeks ago, I found this in one of my forgotten makeup bags & started using it again. It took me some time to get used to the application. The trick is to use as little as possible, like barely squeezing the tube. Yes, it is expensive but a speck of it can cover quite a few blemishes. I don't use it as an undereye concealer so I cannot comment on that one.
I like Kat von d so I really wanted to try one of her products out the packaging is very edgy and cute and this concealer seemed promising. At first I bought this as a spot concealer but I find it doesn't work too well for that, its not the best at layering. I just recently started using a bit for my undereyes and it works better as that but nothing that amazing. I'm not sure this would really cover up tattoos unless you layered the crap out of it.
Its texture is fantastic, I love the texture. It feels creamy, not too thick or liquidy, almost whipped. Really blends very nicely and isn't hard to spread. Doesn't feel dry which is a plus.
Gives a nice finish, more natural to me but don't over apply as it will look more makeupy, creases a little bit but not too bad. Wouldn't say its full coverage completely but better coverage then most, not good enough coverage for me though.
It is water resistant and wears pretty well, it does start fading in about 8 hours. Still, not long wearing enough for me (I have high standards, 12+ hours is long wearing to me)
Overall, its a good concealer, not my favorite but good. Texture is spot on, nice packaging, but its the coverage and the wear power that gets me. Better for under eyes not great for blemishes or spots. I really wanted to love this though.
I have warm NC40 skitnone and i find that tatoo concealer here is too cooltoned for me, I got this in Almond which was too light and the next shade down was too brown. A good undereye concealer needs to be yellow or peach undertones to cover under eye circles, and this didnt do a great job due to bad color match. IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer is still my HG because it has enough yellow/peach to brighten undereyes.
Wow..... this has already hit HG status. I don't care for Kat Von D. I'll be honest, I don't care for her one bit and I also thought it was rediculous that she was given her own make up line because i strongly dislike her makeup. Therefore I never gave her make up a first look. WITH that said, I was very skeptical when a really nice Sephora lady reccommended this concealer for under my eyes (I did not ask for face concealer so this reivew is strictly for under eye). It took a couple of color swipes to find my color, Tan. I've been studying science all my life so I literally look like I fell on my face everyday and a textbook broke my fall under my eye and left huge bruises. I've tried every concealer and combination from laura mercier, becca, nars, youngblood, chanel, dior, cover fx, theBalm, bobbi brown, etc. and I know a lot of companies are reformuating their products and in the past three weeks I tried the new formulations of the same brands that failed me.. and they still did.
IF you want a concealer that will not look thick, will block out the blue/purple under your eyes, that can look decently natural, and stay on all day... this is your concealer. It is the best I've ever tried. Yes it's 25 dollars, but I only use it under my eyes and a little goes a long way so the tube should last me a life time. I like cute, classy packaging and this doesn't suit my fancy but the stuff inside the tube works amazingly. Use with your fingers OR my favorite use with the Sephora Air Concealer brush. I'm in love.
I love this product for several reasons.. First, it really conceals my blemishes that with just this, I dont need a liquid foundation for my everyday routine. I just use this and a rice powder and voila!!! I get flawless face...I have the shade tan and it blends perfectly. I also like that it comes in a tube for sanitary purposes and lastly it does not cake(not like the camouflage concealer, which its dupe) and it lasts all day!! One thing about this is you really need a GOOD primer and set it with powder or else it will look blotchy towards the end of the day.
The only reason why I'm not going to purchase this again is because of its price. 25+Cali tax is too much for a concealer! But Over all, its a pretty good product! :)
