Im caught in a dilemma because i love how lightweight this feels, like i not wearing anything at all and how it erases my flaws and makes my skin look radiant in mirrors and natural. However, it gives me small bumps allover my right cheek and that puts me off. I hate to admit this cos i really love this stuff and its finishing =) btw, i do not agree that its full coverage unless u keep dabbing it over the blemishes, however, its a good medium coverage. the bottle and the pump is very hygienic too.

Hands down the best liquid foundation I've ever used. I find that I'm always comparing this with MAC Face and Body and I toggle between the two because both are equally lovely. However, I feel that MUFE's one provides better coverage in comparison to Face and Body. It's oil-free, which is always welcome and I've always used this with their HD primer and its effects are amazing!

Although it is indeed very pricey (and I only use it for the weekends), but I've never come across a product which blends so beautifully into the skin that it looks as though I'm not wearing foundation. Definitely repurchasing it despite its price tag because I JUST LOVE THIS IMMENSELY.

CONCLUSION: Great foundation but it doesn’t last: won’t repurchase. I feel like HD is best used for beauty photography or events…not everyday use.

MY PREFERENCES: I’m not a foundation wearer, normally I don’t like the suffocating feel and the fake look that it seems to impart. So I need something that feels light, that’s easy to apply and looks amazingly natural. I have good skin to begin with but I like to even out the redness around my nose and mouth. I have been applying half a pump of HD with my fingertips to sheer it out for lighter coverage.

PROS:
Looks amazing in person and in photos. No cakeyness, no “fake” look. In fact, aside from beautiful skin, I can’t even tell I’m wearing anything.
Blends beautifully
Color match is perfect: I’ve been using 115 for my nw20 skin
Pump packaging is nice.
Feels lightweight; doesn’t feel like it’s suffocating my skin
Covers and evens out nicely
Finish is a “my skin but better” look…not matte, not dewy.

CONS:
Price ($40!), which I wouldn’t shy away from if the product lasted on my skin
Scent: kind of old fashioned, rose/Chanel sort of, but it disappears quickly.
Doesn’t control oil (but also, it doesn’t claim to)
It doesn’t last. As one that is picky about the suffocating skin feeling anyway, adding the additional steps of a primer, powder, and then touching up with powder throughout the day is just too much. The fact that HD doesn’t last more than a few hours on me is what has killed the love.

This foundation has good coverage and feels great on my skin. I found the best way to apply was with a "skunk" brush and stipple it on, this gives it an almost perfect airbrush type finish. I actually prefer it to using my airbrush gun that I use for photo shoots. The finish is matte, but not overly dry, and after a few hours my skin does not feel oily like some foundations leave it.

This make up provides the best and most even coverage that I have ever tried. The color matches my skin tone flawlessly. I love this stuff and would use it less sparingly if it wasn't so expensive. Used in combo with the MUFE primer (with SPF), MUFE HD translucent powder, MUFE mist & fix spray, it works brilliantly.
For what it is worth, I have some minor acne scarring / discoloration and oily skin.

I do hear what people are saying about how long this foundation lasts BUT when I applied this product with the primer it STAYS PUT....just the other night i went to an event that started 4 and finished at 3am and my make up STAYED put....even in a hot sweaty club environment. WITHOUT the primer then yeah, it does seem to wear off by midday BUT this foundation is so light but with amazing coverage that it just takes a tiny touch up in the "problem" areas to fix it again. I personally prefer it over MAC products....I've been through the mill with all the MAC products and have always been disappointed. Also as I have dry skin this foundation is a god send, it keeps my skin looking fresh and glowing and doesn't get all chalky or patchy, it looks amazing on. I love it!

I was really excited to buy this foundation but after using it for a while i noticed that it does not last throughout the day and my skin looks oily after only an hour or two.. Even though it looks nice on my skin in the beginning it doesn't last thats why i wouldn't purchase this again

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this foundation yet. I've given it a million and one chances and still have been disappointed.

First of all, I haven't still found a perfect colour match in this foundation. I've tried a ton, but still no colour match. I'm around NC37-40 with very yellow undertones. I'm a little darker than 140 but wayy lighter than 170. Those were the only darker shades with yellow undertones. I've tried the olive and the beige shades too but everything was soo off. Another thing you have to keep in mind is that the shade numbers don't go on chronological order. They are all over the place. Some shades with a higher number than other can be wayy lighter than them. I suggest you look at the shade chart on sephora, see which shades match your undertones then ask for samples.

Moving on to the formulation, it was wayyyy too dry. I'm VERY oily, acne-prone, but I kind of have dehydrated skin so the flakes really show. It emphasized every flake, acne scar, pore on my face. It looked like it just sat ontop of the skin and made my skin look cracked! As the day went on, it got very oily too. So I had dry, flakey looking skin with a thin film of oil on top... not a good look. I've tried wearing this many many different ways; I've used different brushes, different techniques, even mixed it with some moisturizer but the results were worse than horrid. It is aboslutely not for the daytime for me. I can sometimes get away with wearing it on a night out, when it's dark, and lots of pictures are taken. The only good thing is, it covers well and looks great in pictures, So I stick to wearing it on a night out, although I have to mix in other shades to get a shade closer to my skintone.

This foundation did not work for me at all. I think it's great for those with very oily, hydrated and smooth skin. People who already have great skin texture, but just need to even out the skintone. It just emphasized the bumpy texture and dryness on my skin. Also, it broke me out HORRIBLY after 4 straight days of use ...

To sum it up, stay FAR FARR AWAY if you:
- have dry/dehydrated/flaky skin
- are acne prone
- have clogged pores/pitted acne scars/uneven skin surface

I bought this because basically every Youtube guru I've ever seen recommends it and it seemed like it would be good to hide my huge pores. I wanted to swatch each of their foundations, so I got to Sephora and was instantly perplexed by their shade system. I had no concept of what color would be good for me in any of their foundations, and after swatching a bunch of the different ones I saw that none of the shades are even slightly related (there wasn't a single Mat Velvet one that matched my skin tone). The HD 117 seemed the best for me, so I ended up with that. When I got home and tried it on it seemed a lot more yellow than I expected, but looking back at my swatches none of the other colors were even close so this is probably the best it can get. I wore it to work the next day and I have to say I loved how it looked upon application but it didn't hold through the day and by the time I got home I looked like a weird, makeuppy mess. I am going to keep this product and try different methods of application, but overall this was pretty disappointing for $40 and all the hype. I love the blush from this line though!

I bought this after trying the HD powder (meh), along with the HD primer. I've been using this off and on for several months now, alongside my usual go-to foundations - Revlon ColorStay and MAC Studio Fix. Compared to those two, for me it is definitely a sub-par choice. I have tried several MUFE products at this point, and they simply don't work for me. Oddly enough, I find that this foundation does not work well on my skin when used with the HD primer. When used with the HD primer, I find that the foundation sinks into the pores more, and applies a little streaky. I use the HD primer with the MAC or Revlon foundations, and it works fine. I find I need to use a more moisturizing primer (I'm using Laura Gellar spackle) to get enough slip with the MUFE HD. The foundation comes in a plastic pump bottle which I like - the packaging seems very well-sealed to prevent contamination, and the pump meters the product out very well. As for the performance of the foundation, this is where we part ways. Firstly, I do like at least medium coverage in my foundation. This provides a little less than medium, in my opinion. It is somewhat buildable, but I don't like layering on a ton of foundation to get coverage. 1 pump is all I need of MAC Studio Fix, and I feel like I should be able to use only 1 pump of the MUFE. I can't. Also, I don't like that the product has a tendency to collect in my pores, and apply a little streaky without the right primer. Finally, the stuff just does not stay fresh-looking throughout the day on my oily skin. It definitely does not last as long as either the ColorStay or the Studio Fix. For $40, this is definitely not worth it for me. -1 lippy for the outrageous price, otherwise, I'd rate it a "2" just based on performance. I think this might work better for someone with more normal skin and who don't need a long-lasting foundation.
