This is my HG drugstore mascara! I have been using this since high school and always get compliments from women when I wear this. None of them can ever believe that its a drugstore mascara!

When properly applied (with a little wiggling at the base and slowly pulled to the tips), this gives great definition and great volume. The only tiniest downside is that it can clump if too much is applied. But, like with every other mascara, I feel like you always have to get the hang of it before you can apply it well as every formula is different!

I'm really liking this stuff, I bought it a week ago for $25 from Farmers (local department store here in New
Zealand) and I have to say I'm really digging it's staying power! It's the middle of summer here in NZ and I live in Auckland which is very humid (some days it's at 100% - it's revolting!) and this does not run or smudge but comes off cleanly with makeup remover with little effort, I have this in black and while it's not massively volumizing it does give me some thickness and does lengthen very well this has quickly become my go to everyday work mascara, I will perchase again for sure!

The Maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara with the CURVED brush is my all time favourite mascara. Better than Benefit "BadGal Lash" and Armani "eyes to kill". It gives the most beautiful curved, thick, volumous lashes without clumping. It gave me the doe-eye look which i love. I bought it again when my old one ran out but I got the 2000 calorie "Dramatic Look" one which is not a curved brush and its good, but has nothing on the curved brush version.

I really wish they would bring back Max Factor to the U.S, as this is probably the most waterproof mascara I've ever used! If you want a super dramatic look, this isn't for you. It's more of a "natural but with a kick" type of mascara. My tube's already drying out, and I'm a bit sad that I can't get another tube =(. Oh, and Zetaflickan, yes, Americans are aware that we aren't the only continent on the planet. I think we're allowed to bitch when a product we like has been taken off the shelves in our country dear ^^

Great mascara, that is NOT DISCONTINUED in Europe. US citizens, there are other continents than yours!
Have used this for years, makes lashes long, full and black. And curled. Some smudging problem in rain, snow etc.
It is ridiculously expensive in Sweden, though, used to be around $7-8 in the US, here it's $20!
Will probably buy again, have done many times, and now my hair is darker and I need the extra lash effect.

I would say this is an average mascara. Doesn't hold a curl for long and has a somewhat watery consistancy which makes it hard to build up the volume it's supposed to. Wouldn't recommend this if dramatic is the look you're going for, but it's ok for daytime use. I would recommend this to people with 'easy' lashes who already have a natural curl and just want to add a little extra color and such.

EDIT: I removed a lippie after all.. have this mascara for a month now and by now I absolutely hate it. It does NOTHING for me, my lashes are quite straight and can be corrected with a curler and a proper mascara, but this pulls the curl right out! Doesn't give a 'dramatic' volumizing effect either.. or any volume at all actually. Going to look for another mascara!

I wish that MAX Factor products were still sold where I live. This was my daily go-to mascara. It gave me great volume as well as length. It had a sharpie kind of smell to it but that really didn't bother me much.

Pretty good! My friend told me to get it cos i have medium length asian lashes (ie not short asian ones). Good for volume, nice natural loook. Although when i try to put more than one coat on i have to drag my eyelash comb through it multiple times otherwise i look like a drag queen LOL
anyway, didnt really lengthen, and obvioulsy didnt live up to the "300% more volume" claim
But otherwise really really good mascara :)

I bought this mascara after reading so many good reviews here on MUA but was utterly disappointed. I have pretty long and thick lashes, but they're blonde, i.e. almost invisible if I don't put mascara on, and I usually like a dramatically volumizing and lengthening effect, since it's virtually the only eye make up I wear on a daily basis. Unfortunately 2000 Calorie did not fit my lashes, it clumps and it takes forever to dry so it's almost impossible to put 2 or 3 coats like I usually do.

EDIT: after many months I gave this mascara another try and I'm actually quite impressed! It separates lashes nicely and has a good volumizing effect. Nothing uber dramatic (like YSL false lash effect) but really good for a drugstore mascara and daily use. I can also put 2 or 3 coats on without experiencing bad clumps. I still think the packaging looks very cheap, but I would repurchase!
