i like this, and it comes in shades to match basic hair colors. I used it as my very first mascara! I think its perfect for people who um well... dont really know how to use mascara. It goes on quick, and it fans out your lashes! I also <3 it becuz you only need one coat, unlike some where you have to keep putting it on every 5 seconds. The formula of the actual mascara, is fair. Its not watery, and it is not brick thick. Again great first mascara, or even for road trips or going outdoors. <3 continued >>
The formula is too thin and watery. All it does is darken my lashes, it doesn't elongate them or thicken them. When I applied a second coat, it clumped like crazy! It didn't flake off during the day, which is good, but there are so many other mascaras that don't flake off and are way better than Great Lash. I don't understand why it is America's #1 mascara. The packaging is cute though.
Would not buy again.
There are a few (and only a few) good points to this product. It doesn't flake off and it does not irritate my eyes. I also like the small brush for getting fine eyelashes, especially in the corners or lower lashes. That said, there are many better mascaras out there. This product offers no volume. It slightly lengthens lashes, but not by much. I wanted to use this for a really natural look but despite the lack of volume or extreme length this product does clump so its not all that natural looking or at best takes combing out and work on my part to get it looking natural.
I was shocked to find that this mascara doesn't have a higher MUA rating. I picked it up a couple of weeks ago and I love it! I have fairly long lashes but they're not very thick, so Great Lash really helps to plump them up without any clumping AT ALL. Clumping has always been a big issue for me and this wand seems to magically separate and thicken each of my lashes.
However, I wear this as an everyday mascara, not as a going-out mascara. It gives the wide-eye effect more than the falsies effect, so it really depends on what you're looking for. It was a bit pricey at like $8, but I've spent way more money on designer-brand mascaras that clump and flake as soon as you apply them. I'll definitely be repurchasing!
I got this as a gift in a makeup set one of my friends put together for me and i like it but i wouldn't repurchase it for myself, it works just fine but the brush is a bit small and there's defininetly better mascaras out there.
No frills mascara. I have long lashes so I don't know how useful my review with be, but this mascara leaves my lashes longer (obviously). There is mild clumping but not enough to notice...but I like how this doesn't flake on me...I hate black specs on my face! Even the higher-end mascaras flake on me! My mother uses this as well. I don't use this everyday however.
This was the very first mascara I ever tried and it is very good! It makes my lashes look longer and also gives them volume. It's very easy to apply and doesn't clump. I honestly don't know what people are talking about when they say it doesn't make a difference.
I was looking through magazines and this mascara claims to be America's #1 mascara with an iconic American mascara look. So I gave it a tried. What a waste of money.
This mascara didn't give me any volume nor did it give me length. It didn't even looked like I was wearing any mascara. Sure, I like a natural look sometimes, but this mascara didn't do anything. It didn't enhance my eyes or my lashes.
I bought the black color and it wasn't as black as other mascaras I have tried before. The brush didn't really pick up that must mascara in the tube anyway.
This is one of my go to drugstore mascaras. I generally only use it when I run out of my Too Faced Lash Injection. I have very full and long lashes to begin with, so it can be difficult for me to judge. I like this mascara a lot. I have no problems with it clumping, smearing, or taking too long to dry. It doesn't take a lot of this to get great results. I buy it in both blackest black and dark brown. I don't have to layer it over or under another product and I don't even need to curl my lashes with it. It has a rather small and unique brush which takes some time to learn to work with but once you know your way around the tiny brush you can get great results. Its pretty cheap and I buy around 4 tubes a year. I have been using it on and off since I was 14 and I will probably continue to do so forever.
I have short, stubby asian lashes. I know nothing can give me miracle lashes but this mascara gives me NOTHING. Bought it on whim and it gives me neither length nor volume and smudges on me quite easily. I have better luck using Maybelline's newer products for volume/length such as Colossal which is my HG.
Not purchasing again!!
