Being Italian I am forever trying to cover my dark under eye circles. MAC cover-up works great. It can get cakey if you apply too much, but generally, it is amazing. Although it is about $30CAN which is rather pricey, it does last a very long time. The tube works fine in the beginning, but once you've used up about 3/4 of the products, it gets pretty difficult to squeeze out and often squeeze too hard and the product comes shooting out of the tube! But overall, a great product!

I love this concealer, but I use it a bit differently. I take a dab of moisturizer, and a dab of this, and make my own tinted moisturizer. I love it! It gives me the sheer coverage I want, the tube lasts forever, and it's a fraction of the price of an actual "tinted moisturizer". Plus I have very dry skin (even in summer), most tinted moisturizers I've tried are still way too light and my skin ends up tight and flakey. This way I can use my own moisturizer that is right for my skin, and adjust the coverage I need that day.

Definately my HG concealer! I have been using this product since 2003. I have oily, acne prone skin and actually use this as a foundation. I wear shade NW20, and it is an exact match on my skin, goes on beautifully, yet never looks heavy. the coverage is good, but not great if you have acne scars. I cover my scars with MAC Studiofinish concealer, and finish off with a dusting of Pur Minerals 4 in 1 powder. It sounds like a lot, but this combination leaves my skin flawless and I always get compliments. Also, it controls oil pretty good. I will continue to use this product!!!!!!!!! I have tried several full coverage foundations/concealers and always come back to MAC select cover up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not like this product at all. It is sheer coverage which does not work well with my dark under eye circle. I think this product only enhanced them more. The only credit I can give this product was that it was not cakey. If you do not have dark under eye circles and you just want a light coverage underneath your eyes than this is the product for you.

I like the squeeze tube, but I have to say...I feel like this is more of a foundation coverage rather than an concealer. Especially if you're undereye circles are particularly bad (like mine....)

It's pretty quick to sum up. If you have minor imperfections, this will do the trick.

If you need heavy duty coverage like dark spots, deep circles, redness...I would look elsewhere.

I love you MAC...sorry though...it's a miss with this one for me.

The makeup artist recommended this concealer for my dark eye circles and for my scarring.

It's ok but I find it very drying and cakey and hard to work with. I have since bought MAC Pro Longwear Concealer which looks so much better and is a dream to work with.

The makeup artist recommended I used the Select Cover-Up in NW20 for my scars and the Select Cover-Up in NW30 on my dark eye circles, let it set and then apply the Select Cover-Up in NW20 on top.

Because it is so difficult to use I went back to my MAC Select Moisturecover, even though that was becoming too dark for my skintone. But then I bought MAC Pro Longwear Concealer which I now use everyday.

However I will not give up on Select Cover-Up. I will use it when I have extra special occassions and the more I use it if I find my opinion changes I will edit this review.

I generally only use this concealer for my undereye circles. They're not very dark (yet!) but do look better with concealer.

MAC describes this as:
"Liquid camouflage for the skin. Texture-free, virtually invisible. Comes in a tube. Blends in. Brightens and lightens dark areas, erases spots, evens-out skin tones. Makes skin flaw-free. Use pre-foundation, or on its own. 11 shades. Don't reveal it, conceal it!
10ml / 0.33 US oz. £13.50"

I have this in NC20. I wanted sheer coverage with a natural finish, as I wasn't intending to use this for blemishes. And that is what I got! I tend to buff this in with a MAC 224 brush (a la Tanya Purr/pixi2woo on YouTube) in a triangular shape underneath each eye and between my eyebrows, where I can get some blotchy-ness.

For me, this really brightens the under eye area and is just as lightweight as I wanted.

This has lasted me for ages, I only need a small drop for each eye - using a brush to buff it in really reduces the amount I use. However, it is quite runny so be careful of taking more than you need!
I've found it fairly longlasting, though I have needed to reapply if I've had it on all day and I'm going out in the evening.

For what it is meant to be, and what it is, I love it!

I've had this for a few months now and I'm torn. While I do think the coverage is quite good on my hereditary dark circles, the texture once dry and the packaging leave something to be desired. Wearing it made my skin feel like I was wearing pancake makeup. The packaging (squeeze tube) proved to be troublesome on more than one occasion.

I have a love-hate relationship with this concealer. I wish I could give it a 3.5 rating.
I love the texture, staying power, how pigmented it is and the fact that it's Mac so I can get an exact mach for my skin-tone.
My problem is that it really depends what type of moisturizer, foundation, powder etc. you use along with this concealer. I haven't figured out what it is but with some of my routines it works like a charm but on other days it looks just awful, is drying and/or flakes off.
It's always a bit of a gamble for me whether to use this concealer or not - I usually end up using it when I'm out of my regular one.
However what I like to do in summer is water in down and use it as a very lightweight foundation. I only take a tiny amount of product (about the size of one needle head!) and apply it wit a damp brush. It's practically invisible yet gives me coverage and has better staying power than foundation. I use MSFN to set because they are a great combo.
So I guess this is not the item I would take on a deserted island with me but it's sure always handy to have around and I always repurchase when I run out.
