After reading many reviews on this product, I decided to buy it. Here are my thoughts.
GOOD: It has a really nice texture, and it's easy to apply. The packaging is also really nice.
BAD: I didn't really notice anything too special about this powder--for me it was pretty mediocre. It didn't really last a long time and it also clogged my pores (which was a major pain to deal with)
So overall it's an ok powder, but not as good as the hype makes it to be.
Love this product. The pigmentation is stellar & once applied, it never looks 'flat.' There are little traces of illuminating particles in the powder - not to be confused with glitter! This powder really does a wonderful job with giving your skin a healthy, dewy finish while still taking out shine. I mostly use this powder instead of a tinted moisturizer when I feel like I don't need the extra coverage or I just want my skin to 'breathe' a bit more. If your skin is noticeably dry, of course the powder is going to be a bit more obvious. But, on hydrated skin this powder is wonderful & you will feel polished & lovely as you wear it. continued >>

----I'm reviewing the MAC MSFN in Medium. I tried this product in the summer time(NC25-NC30). I wouldn't buy this product again because the shades are too pink for me. If you have any questions, just message me and I'll be glad to help ^.^.
****Product: MSFN is $27(before tax) and has 10 g / 0.35 US oz. It's pretty pricey but I've heard that the product lasts a really long time! In the long run, it's worth it.
****Shade/Skintype: My shade for the winter is NC20 with yellow undertones(asian skin) w/ combo~dry skin.
My shade for the summer is NC25-NC30 with yellow undertones(asian skin), especially my neck w/ combo~dry skin.
****Coverage: Sheer-light almost medium. As a setting powder(over foundation), the coverage is sheer applied with a powder brush. I can use MSFN to even out my skintone too. I just use a denser brush(kabuki), apply MSFN, spritz my face with water, then apply another layer of MSFN...then repeat one more time around my mouth & cheek area(that's where most of my discoloration is). That's it...any more of the powder will give the cakey look :p
****Colors: MSFN shades run more pink toned than yellow. I think the only warm(yellow) tones are Light Medium(Light Plus) and Medium Dark.
--**Medium is not a good color match for me when I use it to even out my skin tone. It's way to pink and a bit light on me so I think that Medium would match people around NW20-NW25. When I use MSFN to set foundation with a powder brush, it is very sheer.
****Finish: Satin but more towards matte. Natural looking skin. It isn't drying either.
****Lasting ability: This does last on my face but about 3 hours later, you do have to touch up. I tried it out when I attended a wedding and used MSFN to set over MAC F&B. It gave me a beautiful finish but around 3 hours or so, my face got oily around my cheeks and T-zone area.
****Photography: I thought using MSFN during photography would be fine but it does have titanium dioxide which can make your face look pale in photos so beware of that! I took a lot of photos using flash and in some pictures my face looked pale and some didn't. Be careful if you want to use this during photography!
-----Pros:-----
-Lightweight
-Easy to use
-Beautiful satin finish
-No breakouts/irritations
-Doesn't give the cakey look
-Not drying
-Can use MSFN alone to even out skintone
-Product lasts a long time before you run out
-----Cons:-----
-Most of the shades run pink! (I think except Light Medium(Light Plus) & Medium Dark).
-Can make your face look pale under flash photography(contains titanium dioxide)
-Can make your face oily through the day
-Need to touch up
-No mirror
-Packaging can get messy continued >>

I have medium+ not medium but anyway.. This is a good product, I use a light dusting and it gives a nice matte finish to my face. It lasts a long long time and I don't have any complaints. In my experience finishing powders arent really the thing thats gonna dramatically change the appearance of your look, you just need it to keep your make up on and this does a fine job! I think with it being mineral maybe it would leave a slightly luminous effect on the skin but I think the difference between this and something not mineral is no minimal it's barely worth mentioning. I like it though, does the trick!
This is great to wear over foundation for a nice even polished look. I have very fair skin so the medium plus is a little dark for me, but i just put a little bit on for a bronzing effect and it works great!! I have tried it over a couple of different foundations and it works great on all of them so far. I really like the nice warm glow it gives your skin. I will definitely keep buying this one!

I use the Medium Plus as a setting powder in place of a translucent powder. Mostly due to the face I have a lot of acne scarring due to a bad acne RX that pretty much tore my skin off, and I personally want a bit more coverage. I've used this with Lancôme Teint Miracle and Revlon ColorStay and I've loved it with both. My skin is combo-oily, so a mineral powder is just what I need, and though it doesn't cover all my acne scarring, it does a good job as covering most of it up, making it look more like freckles than scars. It's truly a wonderful product, even though I'm not really much of a MAC girl. I'm about to go buy my second one, and I can't wait! :)
I really do love this product. Best powder I have every used. It covers well. Looks good on its own or used as a setting powder. I have been using a tinted moisturizer and then this on top buffed it & it just looks so great! I have tried so many other powers from the drugstore and nothing compares. I plan on buying this again and again. My go to product! I would recommend to anyone. If you are on the fence, just go for it! continued >>

Looks natural and is an awesome product. My skin has healed so much from wearing this product instead of cakey foundation. I wear with studio fix concealor. The coverage is actually really good.

THIS IS THE BEST POWDER I HAVE EVER USED.
I am not exaggerating when I say this, I have only used this for about three days, but when people come up and tell me "I love when you don't wear makeup!" or "Your skin looks flawless!" just makes it so worthwhile! I actually got the medium plus shade, a perfect match for my NW30 skin, it looks a tad light in the package and when I swatch it on my wrist, but on my face it blends seamlessly and looks so natural, I love it! I just moisturize, prime, conceal and then apply this powder with my 182 MAC buffer brush, spray two sprays of my Fix+ Spray (another favorite of the week), then blush and contour, and it all looks just so natural and perfect and it hides all imperfections while giving an Au Naturel essence, it is my HG foundation at the moment! It is a bit pricey for me (I'm a 15 year old high school student who only receives allowance for money) but I mean it is worth every single one of the 2,700 pennies or 27 dollars. I highly recommend it for every skin type, even dry skin as long as you moisturize before hand! LOVE THIS SO MUCH, GO. BUY IT!

I have been using this as a finishing powder once my foundation and blush are applied - use a kabuki brush to lightly apply it to my t zone area and sometimes to slightly blend out my blush. I like the consistency of the powder but I am careful with the application because this product definitely provides a color finish to the skin. (As opposed to some of the high def powders out there) As an older woman I don't notice that it settles too much in lines on my face and I think it would be good to use as a touch up powder during the middle of the day. Although I love the product, I will say that this would not be enough coverage for me w/o foundation.
