I got a tester of this fragrance from Nordstorm's and I do really like it. I think it has a bit of a spearmint chewing gum smell to it, but that seems to dry down to something more acceptable. ;-) I do like the way it dry down. It has something about it that is different, can't put my finger on it. The lasting power is quite short lived though, and that is a waste of $ to me. If it were less expensive that would not be a big deal, but it cost so much that for it to have a short life span, well....this would be a purchase I would really have to think about, and if I do buy it down the road, I will have to consider it a big splurge. I would also need to carry my perfume purse sprayer filled with this fragrance if I were to be wearing this perfume away for say 5 or 6 hours. Even with the small sample, I had to continue to spray a bit on myself every couple of hours to get the full idea of the fragrance! I gave this one a 5 on overall rating which is probably too high considering it's lasting ability, but I think the smell is wonderful enough to give it a 5, just wish it lasted longer. I gave it a 5 on price and it probably should be more considering once again the lasting ability and the price is way ott for that. I gave it a 5 on the package because it is very cute and futuristic, love the bottle.
Overall then,
Great smell, does not last hardly anytime though.
Price is way out of control, probably because of it's name Alien.
Bottle is very cute, but who wants to pay for a bottle & a name! continued >>

People knock me over to smell me when wearing this its crazy. I dont really wear this for myself I prefer Pink sugar, dior Addict flowerbomb and Hypnotic Posion but to get attention I put this one cause people stick to me like a Magnet. Ive never gotten so much attention from any other perfume. I dont write much reviews but if your feeling down and want some attention go and get a bottle of this..men and women alike will notice you

Yes, yes, yes!!!

I have such a lovely story with this fragrance =).
Many many years ago I was using a fragrance called Glam, made by a brasilian brand (Contem 1g). And it was my favorite for 2 years, and then the brand discontinued the fragrance, I was so upset but there was nothing I could do... BUT I completely forgot that this brand of cosmetics was constanlty copying other famous products, specially fragrances. I never thought that fragrance was a copy, Im so stupid!!! But then, a month ago I decided to research online for a possible dupe of that fragrance, Glam. And then I found out that Glam was a copy of ALIEN!!!!! GOSH I WAS SO EXCITED!! My problems are solved!

That was my favorite fragrance for years, and I remembered the exact smell of it. I went to a perfume store to try Alien, wondering "why havent I tried this before? I feel like an alien because I still dont know this fragrance and everybody tells me how good it is!!". Then I finally tried and OMG, i never thought that it would smell exactly like GLAM!
But it does, so I guess they did copied right. Because Alien smells just the same!!
Grapes, spicy, sweet, strong, powerful!!!!!!! I LOVE THIS!!!!!! I CANT BELIEVE I'VE MISSED THIS WONDERFUL FRAGRANCE FOR SO MANY YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: I find really hard to describe the notes, it's unique, but it does smell strong, like grapes and red wine, and it's sweet. It's amazing, the staying power is really something. I would recomend the EDT version for the summer. But I prefer the EDP because it's stronger.
If you are not into super strong, spicy fragrances u probably wont enjoy this.

Oh My Gosh, I love this! I bought a 50ml EDT just before I went on holiday last year and although I took two other EDTs with me I used Alien more or less every night! If you don't like strong smells then this wont be for you. Although its smell is sweet and soft it is quite strong and it does last all day. You only need to spray a little bit on your wrists, inside of elbows, your neck, and I dab a bit behind my ears too, and it'll last ages. I could still smell it on my clothes the next day. I love the purple futuristic bottle design but rated it as a 4 as it didn't quite fit nicely into my handbag because of the jagged design. I rated it price wise as 4 as it is expensive and although a little goes a long way, if you're anything like me once you find a perfume you love you spray spray away and before you know it you need a new one!

This is my first review, but I had to do one, as I LOVE this perfume far too much to not do one. If I had the option to give as many lippies as I wanted, I'd give it infinity - even though it's not an actual number. I would go to the moon and back for this perfume.

I smelled this on a customer of mine several years ago at an old job of mine, and asked her for the name of it. A couple of years later I jumped and made the purchase on a complete whim from Neiman Marcus, not knowing what it would smell like on me (a move I don't make [I do recommend trying this perfume though, as a lot of people seem to not have compatible pH's]). It does seem to smell very very different on different people due to the pH factor.

Fast forward almost 3 years, and I'm still on my first bottle without refill (I keep it in my closet [dark+cool place] to keep a longer shelf-life - totally disappointing that I can't admire the gorgeous bottle, but no one gets to smell that on me anyway ;) ), though I'm very close to finishing the bottle off. I wear this almost daily.

It's by far my favorite perfume ever. I will admit that most women seem to hate the smell on me (unsure why), with the exception of a few friends/family members/passerbys here and there. However, the important part (besides it being a pleasing smell to myself) is that men LOVE it. It attracts them like bees to honey. Other reviewers aren't lying. It doesn't matter the age, I've had men of all ages want to know what I'm wearing, and/or that I smell amazing and like nothing they've smelled before - and it's true. Alien is like no other. Even my old male coworkers would work next to me to compliment me on my perfume. Daily. My old boss even wanted to get a bottle for his wife.

This perfume will forever be a staple of mine. Sure, it's pricey, but if used and stored properly it will last you forever. If you want to be adventurous and smell totally beautiful and unique - go try this and pick it up if your pH mixes well...you won't be disappointed with the results/compliments. I promise.

no offense to whoever loves this and wears this, but personally..
i think it smells like dirt with used cigarettes mushed in, a few drops of nail polish remover, and a few crushed flowers to take it from "absolutely disgusting" to "mildly vile."
.
yuck times a million.

This is a perfume that my explanation won't give justice.its just a special fragrance that should be sprayed with a light hand. two sprays is enough for all day It is a modern fashion forward scent. A alternative to the sweet winter scents. Its woodsy white floral. I have to be in the mood for it or it gives me a headache. I learned to like out over time. The dry down is powdery. This is a scent that commands attention and it is my favorite perume bottle ever.

This is a very hard to describe fragrance. It is not like anything I have ever smelled but it does have elements of some other perfumes. The closest match I can come up with would be Poison by Dior because it shares that boozy/ red wine note in Poison. The base notes on the dry down are similar to Armani Code but the overall composition is nothing like anything I have smelled to date.

Alien starts with something very expansive and sharp yet interesting I think this is the solar note. Then you smell a beautiful sambac jasmine and something cool and dry like menthol or anise. Under the jasmine is a cashmerian note with amber and vanilla which is comforting and warm but the fragrance overall is icy and cold. Like I think of fog on a cold autumn day early in the morning when I wear this. It is a masculine fragrance for women, this is not a 'pretty white floral' like Vera Wang it is much more edgy that most jasmine scents I have encountered thus far.

I can understand the love hate relationship most people have with this fragrance, it is very strong and very unusual. Much like Opium, Poison, and the other 80's powerhouse fragrances. Alien plays homage to these classic iconic staples by going to the edge of a theme / fragrance note and carrying it beyond what most perfumers dare to go: Alien is both disconnected and jarring and yet cohesive enough to be polished and addictive. This fragrance is NOT for everyone it is not for the meek or mild mannered.

To Alien lovers: one spray is ENOUGH. Beyond that you risk ruining the experience for everyone including yourself. This fragrance sprayed with a heavy hand will easily morph into a monster which will threaten Invasion of the entire planet ;)

This perfume reminds me of something you'd smell on a 14 year old goth girl. It's unsophisticated and smells a lot like grape slushies.
