Overall, I really like this lip balm. I think it was around $10 Canadian and, given how little I need to moisturize my lips, I think it's a decent value. The smell is sweet, but not overpowering. The only issue I have with this product is the tin. Like the previous reviewer, I have problems with the tin's lid squishing and becoming bent out of shape and then not fitting very well with the bottom. Regardless, I still like HoneyTrap and am sure I will buy it again,

I love the scent of Honey but I did not like this lip balm. I found it ultra drying and made my lips uncomfortable. (I did not finish it and tossed it.)


I really disliked the tin, it was very easy to squish the thin sides of the tin and then the lid didn't fit properly. As well, although I held it in my hands to soften it, I found I had to scrape the balm out.


This lipbalm is quite expensive ($10 Canadoan) and not all at moisturizing. (I prefer Nivea's HydroCare which is much more moisturing and a bargain at less than $2.)

I love the honey flavor of this lip balm. It doesn't moisturize the greatest, but i love it as a base under some more drying lipsticks. I love the smell of it...so sweet and nice. I am so glad I purchased this.

I'm not really thrilled with Lush products...I bought this and Lip Lime. I wore this for a few days before my husband literally refused to kiss me or come near if I had this on. It was THAT offensive to him! LOL

I think it worked okay as a balm. Nothing expensive. My complaint with Lush lip balms is that they get kind of dry. :-/

I loooove Honey Trap! It's made my lips look and feel so much better. Plus it smells fantastic. I don't love how it's in a tin, but it's not super greasy or sticky so it's alright. I'd definitely rebuy!

Didn't like this lip balm. The smell isn't that great; you can definitely smell the honey, but there's another scent that makes it smell medicine-y. I also didn't like that it's in a little pot (i'd rather have a stick), because it's unhygienic, plus if you're out or something, it makes your finger sticky. This balm is very thick and waxy, almost hard, in the pot, but you only need a tiny bit. It formed a weird yellowish film on my lips also (although I might've applied too much), plus when you purse your lips together to smooth the balm, there's a kinda crunchy texture to it, almost like it has salt crystals in it.Plus, it's very expensive for the tiny amount you get (although it might last a long time). In pictures, the tin looks big, but in reality it's teeny-tiny (just a heads up). Like, literally,alittle larger than a quarter. I might be able to overlook all this if it was great at moisturizing, but it honestly didn't seem to moisturize any better than my normal staple $.99 cherry Chapstick. Will not repurchase, and probably going to give this one to my sister.

This is the only lip balm I buy again and again, without thinking twice. It tastes delicious, smooths my lips out gloriously, and is kiss friendly! My boyfriend doesn't complain of getting sticky glitter on his face after smooching me wearing this. It absorbs nicely while leaving a healthy sheen. This is the PERFECT lip balm.

I love the smell and texture of this product! It makes my lips feel like there is a light coating on them that is so soft and moisturizing. I'm a huge fan of Mange Too so naturally this is my favorite lip balm by LUSH! I will buy over and over again.

This is my 2nd favourite lip balm next to lip service!! (i have over 200 brands all in a big bag together its abit of an addiction lol there isnt a time when im not wearing lip balm!), I ordered it from Ebay for Ł3.50 with free posting, recieved it this morning, before id even opened the envelope i could smell the sweet smell! The tin is really cute with a pink label, I opened the tin which suprisingly is easy to open its actually a screw top! (unlike most tinned lipbalms which u end up wrestling with just trying 2 get into!) and straight away i could smell a oaty minty honey white chocolate smell, the smell is really strong like i opened the tin outside walkin along with my mum but i was like quite a few metres behind her n she turned around straight away n said "mmm i can smell that from here!" ..the colour also makes it yummy its a creamy beige. it really is lovely!! i hadnt read the ingredients til after id applied it i didnt realise it had Oat Infusion in it, but u really can smell that oaty smell! it applies smoothly to lips leaving a kind of matte finish that makes your lips look so much more smooth and plump. it stays on your lips alot longer than most lipbalms! and the smell lingers but not in an overpowering way, just every few mins u get a little whiff of it in the air! very slight sweet taste an my boyfriend always says how nice i taste when im wearin this and we kiss!..and i keep rubbing my lips together and looking at them into the mirror just to feel & see how soft they look! will definatly re-purchase. (when i first applied it about 5mins later the deadskin on my lips started peeling off so i exfoliated my lips and since then ive had no problems with it making them peel, ive heard some lipbalms do that to get rid of dry skin to make sure the balm can soak in fully, i think its the peppermint oil that does this) ...i just smelt it with my nose in the pot and it smells just like those sweets Mint Humbugs with abit more honey added, personally i wish the mint was less strong and it smelt more of white chocolate.. but apart from that PERFECT. the tin probably wont last me long although it lasts ages on your lips i find myself applying it over and over before its worn off, i just love it lol, i also find myself sitting there sniffing the tin like some sort of freak LOL. I love applying it before bed and waking up with silky soft lips! I just ordered Whipstick & Lip Service (so look out for my reviews on those) x

EDIT: ive found that if my lips are slightly dry or tender this lip balm tingles an maybe even stings a tiny bit, probably coz of the peppermint oil! doesnt stop me loving it though but jus thought id tell you guys this coz it'd put some people off!

on my second tin of this stuff! my new tin smells more white chocolatey than the first, its not as minty either, ive noticed LUSH products vary in smell/texture depending on the batch you bought it from, which i like! x

i had chapped lips for the first time in ages the other day and i used honeytrap, it stung like hell!! not my fave lipbalm anymore, lipbalms suppose to heal chapped lips not hurt them! :(

ive really gone off of this lipbalm, ive hardly used the 2nd tin i bought. it stings my lips even though my lips arent chapped, the smell has changed to an oaty/wheat kind of smell, not white chocolate or honey ATALL. my bf hates the smell of it too. continued >>
